So i was in the mood for some Jamaican Food today. I heard about a local spot in the Falls called Caribbean Flava. I did not actually get the opportunity to go into this establishment but the food I received was outstanding. So I decided to go with some curry chicken, jerk chicken, red beans & rice and some cabbage. When I tell you this food had Caribbean Flava, my taste buds were jumping like Jordan lol. I got a large meal which was about $16 and the portions were huge. Two could share the large dinner and be satisfied . It was very fulfilling and worth every dime. So happy I stumbled upon this food truck in downtown Buffalo today. I ordered the jerk chicken meal which came with deliciously marinated and grilled chicken, a rice and bean mix, and a cabbage and carrot mix. Everything was seasoned really well and tasty. I was lucky enough to visit them at the NT Botanical Gardens during lunch and it was delicious! I ordered the chicken jerk wrap and sandwich. The wrap was filled with chicken, rice , beans and cabbage with jerk sauce. The sandwich included chicken breast with lettuce, tomato, cheese and sauce. Both were great but I liked the sandwich a bit more. I didn't think cheese was necessary on the sandwich though . Seemed like an afterthought. They also included extra sauce which I appreciated. Savor the Flava! I was glad to see a new food truck swing by our office today, although we get a variety often times we have a few regulars that come weekly and God love em but I need something new at times. I do love to indulge in some Caribbean food at times and my coworker and I quickly went on a Scooby-doo mission to get more info. Based upon what we found on their social media page the menu is small but people enjoy what they get. I initially hoped for the jerk chicken wrap but upon ordering was told they didn't have any on the truck this time but had a curry wrap. I instead opted for the jerk chicken dinner with came with a few hearty pieces of jerk chicken on the bone, beans and rice and steamed cabbage. A hearty meal for a good price. Opening our boxes we were enriched in the aroma of the food, warm, earthy smells, nothing overpowering or off putting. The dinner comes with a side of sauce, we took a medium heat and I dont know it they make it but oh man it was good. The sauce had a sweetness and just enough heat too it that it complimented everything well. The jerk chicken wasn't spicy, it was herbed and a little smokey (maybe) oh so good. I know one fear, especially from growing up was getting jerked meat that was too spicy hot to enjoy but this chicken was just right. The steamed cabbage was perfect, not over cooked and mushy, this cabbage still had some of that green color and texture. Sitting atop the rice that soaked in the juices, everything was well seasoned and went well together. I'd love to give it a 4 star but the menu is small, really only curry chicken and jerk chicken. They sell sides of beans and rice, cabbage, plantains and have fried dough they call festival which they were out of this day as well. If the wraps and curry chicken is just as good I can see an upgrade to a 5 star but would love to see another option or a special. read more

Many may know of Caribbean Flava, from their food truck. Now located right across the street from Memorial hospital, is the actual restaurant. There is about 6-7 tables inside if you choose to eat there, I came for takeout. The portion size is very nice, especially for the price of $12. I must say the jerk chicken was very good. The meal came with rice & beans, as well as a side of cabbage. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Totally worth the visit, will be back again. read more

Driving from Buffalo to Niagara Falls to try Caribbean Flava was something I looked forward to. We got 2 jerk chickens, 2 beef patties, and a coconut water (they ran out of Tings). Here's why I gave it 3/5 stars. The Flava in the name was lackluster. The chicken had the look but overall it lacked moisture, flavor, and spice. The jerk in jerk chicken was completely missing. It simply tasted like regular grilled chicken. Cabbage was okay but also lacking flavor, the rice could've also been better but it was the standard. The beef patty was great but I asked for a spicy one and got a regular one. The entire meal costed us $35. Just wait til the borders open back up to experience what real flavors are. I wish I did before spending that bill. There are better options in my opinion! read more

These folks have had a food truck for some time and recently opened a restaurant across from our local hospital and next to a parking garage. There are a few tables for dining, then several stairs to place orders for take out. We had enjoyed their jerk and curry chicken wraps from their food truck, but this time we had their dinner of curry chicken, rice and beans and a vegetable mix of cabbage, collards and carrots. The portions are large, which was fine but not required for me to return. The chicken was tender and everything was well seasoned and full of flavor bit not overly hot. The staff were friendly and informative for those new to the cuisine. They run specials every Friday. This is a welcome addition to the Niagara Falls food scene. read more
