Unfortunately I think this will be the last time we order from here. The first time we came to this place, my husband ordered their jerk chicken plate. We can take spice but the spice level was cranked up way too high. Almost inedible. I ordered oxtail plate which I thought was well done. We recently ordered take out (I was craving carribean food) and I ordered the oxtail again which tasted fine but he ordered their penne pasta which again was very spicy. Their were a lot of small pieces of bone in his pasta as well that he luckily did not choke on. We also got their chicken roti. We ventured outside of from downtown Niagara Falls and found this amazing little Jamaican restaurant. The jerk chicken and the ox tails were so delicious. I would've given this restaurant five stars but, it's not the ideal for dine-in, seating is extremely limited, they only accept cash and will not convert currency. So, if the menu says $9, it's the $9 regardless if you have USD or CAD. So, it's best to pay with CAD when you go here. read more

Good Jerk Chicken! I was driving by and saw this place and came in and was surprised with the good flavor. The chicken was very moist and tender and easily broken up with a fork. There wasn't a tremendous amount of Jerk seasoning on the chicken ( which is good and bad depending on how you like it) but the taste of Jerk was good. The gravy was spicy and tasty! I asked for extra to pour over the rice and I even added some of their home made hot sauce which kicks a$$! The rice and peas taste great and a good amount came with the medium size I ordered. However the absolutely best thing ( yes it was) the coleslaw, I have never found a good coleslaw ANYWHERE but HERE! It has an amazing taste with lettuce, peppers and I think pineapple etc.... I know I am going on about the coleslaw but I really need to! When you first put it in your mouth you expect the regular thing but not here is was sooo fresh and not a crazy amount of vinegar it was just amazing. I went to eat in with my boyfriend and our dining experience was not great at all. We were seated and given menus, seeing as we were the only customers inside we were hoping to get served quickly, this was not the case. It took nearly 15 minutes for the waitress to even ask what we wanted to drink. Then when it came to ordering, the first three things that we asked for were not available. So at this point we asked her what they have available. I don't see a need to give somebody a menu when half your items are not even cooked or ready. Finally our food came, the only reason that I'm writing to stars is because the plating was very nice.. Taste however, was not that nice. They are trying too hard to look upscale, I would much rather go to a hood Jamaican place where I get what I'm paying for and there's actually flavour. Everyone claims their food is the best food and they sometimes fail. Don't claim this if you can't follow through, especially with caribbean food...scratch that, any kind of food. The owner kept his word because this is real good authentic Jamaican food. Honestly I was a little skeptical because I did not smell anything as we were walking up to the restaurant, but when we entered I smelled some good seasoning. I was hopeful, but still skeptical and all that disappeared when I started eating. We plan to eat here or at least get some food on the go from here again on our short weekend in town. read more

Overall, enjoyed the food. Portions were decent, although could have been more sauce on the curry goat & oxtail. We had take out, not a big fan of styrofoam containers (banned in NY, should be banned worldwide). Guy was nice enough to put foil between food and styrofoam. read more

Blessed Love Was very happy to find a Jamaican spot in the Falls Tried the chicken soup which was decent (to preface i like chicken foot soup yes but not regular plain old chicken so take that into account) Tried the brown stew fish - was pretty good, a little light on the seasoning and the brown stew was sweeter than id like but it was still good and a blessing to find out a road. Stopped by this place on our visit to the Niagara's Falls. My boyfriend is Jamaican so we love exploring local Caribbean restaurants. This place had a cozy atmosphere with a great host! Wide variety of food choices on the menu as well as Jamaican alcoholic drinks, even the dragon stout beer that we struggle to find in the US. Food was top-a-top! Not a great experience, the place isn't what it used to be. I wanted a red rum and coke they didn't have any! What kinda Jamaican joint runs out of rum? I ordered the curry goat which was ok, the rice and peas were crusty dry leftover & the best thing on my plate was the coleslaw which I got a teaspoon of. My wife had the jerk chicken, it too was dried out & old. It was not worth the time or effort. The place is cluttered with Jing bang ( odds and ends trinkets etc.) The place is obviously run by mummy because the young lady was the reception /server/ daughter who you could tell really didn't want to be there. I've been to some serious holes in the wall restaurants in Jamaica and have had better food, better service and a better time. So sad. I wish it was a better experience, because good Jamaican food is hard to come by unless you're making it yourself. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! If you pay with USDA this is a rip off! This place is cash only! My husband and I went on Sunday and while the time is displayed on the door, they open at 2:00 pm. We actually waited until 2:00 for the place to open, and still waited another 40 minutes for the food to come out.. The food was on point, very tasty and the wait was minimal. The plantains were so good and everyone in our group cleaned their plates. No leftovers to take home. I would've gave 5 stars, but they ran out of stew chicken which was absolutely fabulous. I ended up choosing jerk chicken, my son had the curry and daughter had the stewed chicken. The 3 of us shared the chicken to taste it all and it was great. I definitely recommend this place. They do not adjust for the US currency, cash only and you pay whatever the local price is. This restaurant is absolutely horrible. My wife and I visited using a Groupon while on vacation in Niagara Falls. To start with, they added additional requirements to the Groupon in terms of what we were required to buy, and also claimed that many of their cheaper menu options were unavailable, meaning we had to spend more than double what we were planning to get a meal. The restaurant itself is absolutely disgusting. There are bugs, old food on and under the tables, the whole place reeks, and the outside patio area incredibly unsanitary. We both ordered the same thing, a simple Jerk Chicken, which should have been pretty straightforward for a Caribbean place. It took over an hour to get the food, and there were only 2 other groups in the whole restaurant. They were apparently out of the regular rice they use (we only know that because the waitress told the group next to us, who were regulars) and so we eventually got very poorly prepared jerk chicken with unseasoned white rice. My wife and I both became incredibly sick after eating this meal and it ruined the rest of our vacation and cost us hundreds of dollars due to extra expenses incurred in our delayed return. The place is not sanitary, it's not safe, the service is atrocious, and the food is abysmal. Nothing would make me return here, please do not give this establishment your business. read more
