Overall, EOS Fitness in Whittier is a decent gym that gets the job done, but there are definitely some things that could be improved. The staff can be welcoming and helpful, but depending on the day, they can also come across as less friendly or approachable. My bigger issue, though, is the gym etiquette from some of the members. I notice a lot of people don't wipe down their sweat after using benches or equipment, and some don't rerack their weights when they're finished. There was actually one situation where a guy finished his workout, left the bench covered in his sweat, and walked away. I politely asked him, "Hey, are you done with this?" He just stared at me and walked away without saying anything or wiping down the bench. Like, come on, dude. Talk about being a jerk. It takes a few seconds to wipe down the equipment after you're done using it. I also wish people were more aware of their surroundings when recording themselves. If you're filming a workout, that's fine, but getting annoyed because someone happens to walk behind you or needs to walk through the area to rerack weights is unnecessary. The gym is a shared space, not a personal studio. Be aware that other people are trying to work out too. Another major issue is how overcrowded it can get, especially around 4:00 a.m. I'm sometimes like, "Damn, it's this crowded already?" The gym has a lot of equipment, but when it's packed, getting to the equipment or dumbbells you actually want can feel like navigating an obstacle course. You might have to go around multiple people, benches, machines, or weights just to get to the equipment you're trying to use. That being said, I do like the gym overall. It has plenty of equipment and it gets the job done. I just think better gym etiquette from members, a little more awareness when filming, and better management of the crowded areas would make the experience much better. read more

Walked in the staff was friendly. The facility is clean . There is a lot of machine and equipment out of service . I came in the morning so the gym was not as full so many machines were available. Haven't tried the classes but will try them out soon. read more

Too crowded during the day at night there's one person at the counter that doesn't even answer your questions properly because she's too distracted by other people, second visit to this location, I just got here and went into the sauna I had my headphones in and apparently they shut it down for cleaning, not once did an employee come in to check if anyone was still in there, I was in the shower with a guy cleaning the bathroom, they barricaded the entrance with a line of girls waiting to get in, get a female cleaner and don't inconvenience your patrons, what if we want to get our stuff or use the bathroom??!! Machines suck this is more of a free weights place, haven't even been able to get my free training because there's never a trainer on sight! Booooo this place is over hyped read more

Watch out if you're on Medicare and have a One Pass benefit . There is a sales rep who will tell you that you need to pay a $10 monthly fee if you want to take a Silver Sneaker class or a Water Fit class. Not true! I actually called Eos sales rep in the evening and said there is no extra charge for participating in these two particular classes. BYT both classes have excellent instructors and you'll get a great workout. Jacuzzi is awesome but I do wish they had more than 4 shower stalls. read more

They do have friendly staff that greet you on your way in and out. I agree with others that the gym is constantly crowded and it's hard to get a machine. You need to be creative, flexible and definitely have time to finish a workout for max satisfaction. Parking is also often an issue and you have to wait or circle around a few times to find a spot. I signed up for personal training and felt disappointed. I was supposed to get more guidance on a meal plan and a workout guide to help me buy despite being enrolled for 4+ months there was always an excuse why I wasn't set up. Lastly, I had my daughter enrolled but canceled and they double charged me for four months. I went to get it corrected and they still haven't refunded my money and it's been 2 months. Kyle Barrett and ABC (something) that collects payments for EOS both are horrible. I went in a on March 18 2026, to change my membership. I was helped by Kyle who assured me my membership had been canceled and assisted in opening my new one. I thought everything went well until I get a random over draw fee and notice that I'd been getting charged twice for my membership and that the monthly charges had continued after my cancelation totaling roughly 240 dollars After finding out I send an email to EOS online, it states that I'll have a response between 24/48 hours. The response takes 96, when I call I'm placed on hold for 10 minutes, I then get connected with a help desk person from ABC something. Explain to them what happened provide the information and get told they can't do anything about it. Aside from that inconvenience, the gym is often filthy, the male cleaning staff that's in around 2am is generally unpleasant and will mop around your feet as your lifting, and the gym is usually over packed and you have to change your workout routine to accommodate if you go at any time outside of 2am read more

I'm someone who converted from Planet Fitness after being with them for 4 years on and off, and I'm glad I chose EōS. I dreaded hearing that parking was awful, but so far, the only place that was bad was Whittier. Hawaiian Gardens and Fullerton always has spots. On a whim, I decided to sign up for a personal trainer. I think the design is a lot more sophisticated than other gyms I've visited like LA/Esporta, 24, Crunch, etc. I realized that maybe I should have researched the Lux locations first. The biggest difference I noticed between EōS and the others is that it's super crowded to the point and it gets really muggy. Maybe it's popular or I'm just out of shape, but it feels like lukewarm sauna room temperature at times. I wish they would blast the overhead fans or install some air purifiers in there. Apart from that, their amenities are pretty neat. Unlike Planet, you don't have to talk to an employee or reserve a time. The group classes, towel service (extra), and the pool are also cool things they offer. It feels more advanced in some ways because they have the cryotherapy, massage chairs, and the theater. I would highly suggest scrutinizing the contract, but it is mostly worth the price. I love my trainer (Diana!) so far, and I feel like it's definitely helped me with gym anxiety. read more

Been a member since beginning of the year (now sept). It has become very busy and very difficult to find parking (10am-10pm). Some machines have 3 - 4 deep wait lines. Specifically, unsanitary (got a red rash from gym from chest to knee, first time in my life); not maintained- broken machines takes weeks to fix, even one of a kind exersize; staff inattentive: tried signing up my mother as new member for senior sneakers (with 3-5 people at desk had to ask followup questions to different people as they walked away or did something else after a question; waited 20 mintutes to signup after filling out given form; 3 times i went up to ask if someone will come; each time a different answer. Left as 5 employees were laughing and talking to each other while ignoring us.) read more

I really try my best not to write negative reviews but sometimes it can't be helped. I am writing this in hopes things will change for the better or another person will find this experience useful. I came in telling the membership advisor that I would be at a different location (B) for a couple of months due to work and would like to have access to a gym. The other location (B) would be temporary due to work and would want access there. I did not want to commit to the multiple location membership due to the prices and preferred the single location membership. They (membership advisor and manager) told me that I can just sign up today under them and then transfer to B especially since its their last day for the "Easter deal". Feeling pressured especially under their confidence that I can transfer my membership to location B, I decided to sign up. I didn't feel too good about this so the next day, I decided to call location B and was told that they do not allow memberships to be transferred to their location. Immediately I called to cancel my membership since I am currently within the right of Rescission period. I am awaiting an email response but felt like I needed to write this review in the meantime. This club opened almost a year late, and now they're setting the daycare after only being opened for a few years. For more personal training? Multiple parents reached out to this company with no response and also had left reviews with no response. They do not value the working parent that pays their money for their kids to come to the daycare so I will not be recommending anyone here and canceling the membership this month. They expect families to travel 45+ minutes out of their way to their other locations that have a daycare. Plus these girls are so good with all the kids should've kept some type of family value to their club. They are also promoting getting a plushy for a good review on yelp so if you see any reviews that are good, most likely bribed for a T-shirt or some type of something. They are looking just to accommodate single people and high schoolers so a lot of the people that come here to work out, but also check out People another reason why it's so packed. EoS-Whittier is my home gym during the work week. After trying out several different EoS locations, this is definitely 1 of 2 of my favorites. The facility is clean, love the machines & amenities available, and staff are nice (most of them). I don't normally go here on Sundays. There aren't as many people on Sundays as there are during weekdays. Weekdays, it gets pretty busy. The wipes dispenser by the leg extension machine is still broken before I went on vacation, it'd be nice if that got fixed. There's day care but take note that they are CLOSED on Sundays!! There's a pool & jacuzzi as well as a dry sauna which is super relaxing after a great workout (love this). There's also a basketball court (an amenity other EoS locations do not have). Idc about the 2.5 stars. If y'all been to the other locations, you'd absolutely appreciate this one!! Overall, I love this location. Brought my hubby here today and he agrees it's one of the nicer EoS locations. Our favorite activity together is to work out at the gym (which ended up being a 3 hour gym workout lol)!! read more

I signed up hoping for a solid gym experience, but the reality didn't match what was presented. The gym is consistently overcrowded, no matter what time you go. Getting access to basic equipment is a struggle, and the "bring a friend" perk only adds to the congestion. It's hard to get through a workout without long waits. I also wasn't offered any type of trial period before signing up. If I had been, I would've realized the environment wasn't a good fit and avoided this situation altogether. Because of all this, I requested to cancel my membership and asked for the cancellation fee to be waived. The conditions didn't reflect what was advertised, and the lack of a trial made it impossible to make an informed decision. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I hope the gym takes this feedback seriously read more

Had to cancel my gym membership due to the company closing down the kids zone. I hear it through the great vine, the company confirmed but never gave us a heads up which made me mad. Parents won't be able to go to the gym, so there will be a drop in memberships. Also the people who work at the kids zone won't have a job! Extremely disappointed in this gym. They're closing the Kids Club without any proper warning. My kids have been coming to kids club for 2 years now, 5 days a week. They do not care about their employees leaving them with no options. I will be canceling my membership and finding another gym with a kids club. ALL the girls in Kids Club have been excellent with my kids. My children looked forward to coming here and are heartbroken they have to leave what they're used to. The EOS gym in Whittier is phenomenal. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smile and friendly, professional staff. I primarily come to this location because I value a well-maintained, clean pool and this pool consistently delivers. It's always clean, clear, and well cared for, which makes swimming here a great experience. The locker rooms and showers are also consistently clean and properly maintained. Early on, I did have a concern about members taking photos and videos in the locker room while others were changing. However, management addressed the issue by posting visible signage on the mirrors, and it has made a noticeable improvement. Anytime I've brought up a concern, the staff has been responsive, respectful, and quick to take action. That level of professionalism goes a long way. I've been coming here for over a year after having a bad experience at another gym with poor pool conditions, and this location has been consistently reliable. My only downside is the distance I drive about 10 miles one way just to work out and use the pool. That alone should say how much I value this gym. If I lived closer, I'd be here even more often. I do not regularly come to this gym because of its parking situation but as my rest day I wanted to take a cycling class; with Victoria Perez ; which was at 1145; the instructor didn't show up and didn't give a heads up to anyone which is unprofessional ; instructors should be here 10 minutes before class in my personal & professional opinion. Last minute emergencies are fine but when you don't have the common courtesy to inform your employers that is irresponsible. My nightmare experience is for allowing Vinny that store manager to sell me into personal training. Don't do it, not worth it. Horrible experience, I tried Veronica and she gave me rude service. Tried another trainer and it was awkward also. Didn't even show me what I wanted to learn. Not worth it. Got charged for sessions I never even did because there was no trainers available for the time I needed to workout. UPDATE: be mindful when switching from personal to family. VINNY AGAIN, screwed me over. He didn't desactive my personal account. Charged me a total of three annual fees on personal account. Got so many unnecessary charges. Always be checking your account. The gym has a wide range of equipment, but nothing will be good enough with how crowded this gym is. There's no studio room to sit in and do abb work or free weight stuff in private. What this place is missing is an area for the people that don't like to do stuff out in the open on the floors. It needs a more private area and bigger. Not just the middle turf or the little corner in the back that's always stacked with people lined up for machines. The expansion barely helped with the crowding. Great and Busy gym. This location is spot on with being clean and everything is always working/gets fixed quickly. It is a very busy gym but because it is so good. This location has a lot of machines and their sauna is always working and the massage chairs are amazing. Locker rooms are always clean as well. The staff here is incredible never had a bad experience with anyone. Even with any questions they are so nice and helpful. About to cancel my membership. There is absolutely no parking. Not to mention they up and cancelled the only reason we stayed at this gym. The kids club. They had the best employees watching our kids, we paid the additional cost for that faithfully because of how happy our child was to go each time. There is constantly pools of water on the floor, machines are always down, and honestly, it's too packed with people waiting in line for most machines. read more

Although this is a new gym (opened within the year) it gets very busy, always something going on, no matter what time of day it's pretty packed. The a.m's are busy with working gym rats and trainers, noon not sooo bad but still busy, if it's your first time get ready for a bunch of cliques that will hog a machine or weights. It can be a bit intimidating at first so plan ahead with your workout and be open to using different machines. Keep your head up and do you! You deserve to be there like everyone else! The only downside is that the members don't take pride in their gym, leaving paper towels everywhere, not re-racking weights, or cleaning and sanitizing the machines after use and taking extra time on the machines. If you live in the area and are considering joining this gym do yourself a favor and consider a 5-7 day pass and give La Fitness just 5 mins away a try. A lot to improve at this gym. Went in originally to use as a temporary gym. Got the 7 day FREE pass online which is super cool only to get told I need to be there in person to meet with a consultant and get a mandatory tour of amenities in order to receieve the 24 hour access otherwise I'd be required to come in during business hours. Understandable but sometimes schedules don't align. Instead i decided to sign up for the $10 deal they had to bypass that which is great at first until you realize it'll be $72 in cancellation fees just if you try to do a month. So don't come here if you are trying to do something temporary tor work. The gym equipment is nice and they have some cooler new machines like the Pendelum Squat or newer bench presses that help you unrack. That being said the amount of people that attend at odd hours is still enough to take up nearly every main piece of equipment. NO ONE RE RACKS WEIGHTS HERE. There is no etiquette for it and weights are often left or placed far away from where it was originally at. The staff is nice, I can't speak much on the coaches. The locker rooms are kept clean but require you to bring or buy a lock to lock them. They have other amenities such as a pool and massage chairs if you're into that. It was pretty upsetting to see this gym and I wouldn't reccomend it unless you plan to spend a crazy amount of money to be in a constantly packed gym. read more

1 Star Review I had a very disappointing and concerning experience at EōS Fitness that I feel needs to be shared. On February 19, I was at the gym assisting a friend's son when I was approached and confronted by another member. The situation escalated due to that individual, not me. Despite this, I was never asked for my side of the story, never contacted by management, and never given an opportunity to explain what actually happened. Instead, my membership was canceled without warning, explanation, or any form of due process. What makes this even more troubling is that this was not an isolated incident. I have experienced what I believe to be racial profiling and discriminatory treatment at this location on multiple occasions. These concerns were never properly addressed, and no action was taken despite repeated issues. There were multiple witnesses to the February 26 incident who can confirm that I did not initiate the altercation and that I was not behaving aggressively. The fact that a decision was made without reviewing evidence or speaking to those involved raises serious concerns about how situations like this are handled. I expected professionalism, fairness, and basic communication. Instead, I was treated in a way that felt dismissive and unjust. I am currently seeking further action regarding this matter. I would strongly encourage management to review their policies, staff training, and how they handle conflicts--because no member should be treated this way. read more

Do not recommend personal training. It was a nightmare to get out of and they were still charging me for sessions I couldn't use because I didn't have a trainer. Sessions accumulated and they wouldn't let me cancel until all the sessions were used. During all of this, was still being charged so even more sessions, I didn't want, were being added. Even though I kept asking to cancel. In the end I just had to schedule multiple sessions and cancel so I could stop paying the $300 every two weeks. read more

4-6 26 night crew working in the front desk are very lazy rather be on their phone than actually clean the place up went to the men's restroom. First time here they charge me $20 to work out at their gym. Weights on the floor mess everywhere. Literally restroom had a pee on the toilet seat seats on the toilet floor. Urinals didn't work. There was a toilet over flooded this place was absolutely fucking nasty. Last time I ever come try a new gym will never get EOS.
