This review is not for the gym itself but for someone that offers their services inside the gym, his name is Freddy. I went in for a sports massage because I had bad neck pain and migraines, long story short I came out of the place with a worse problem, I could not move my arm and my right thumb was numb. I mentioned it to him right then and there and he said it happens and that it should go away same day. It didn't go away so next day I text him on what I should do and when he was available to fix this problem because I did not have this issue when I went in to see him. He totally ignored my texts and till this day my thumb is still numb and he hasn't took the time to reply back,. Very unprofessional on his part. Do not recommend. Being a gym member of several chains for decades, this gym has become my top gym so far, and it's only been one month. I have felt more dedicated, committed, and motivated to keep coming in at least 5 times a week. Yes, the fact there are plenty of machines that you won't find elsewhere in the area but there are nice amenities such as connecting your music to the gym speakers for everyone to enjoy along listening to your savage music taste. The key take from this gym is the community and positivity floating around the various gym floors. You'll find most people to be locked in to their workouts that's motivating. You'll notice that the gym floors are never remotely as packed as the traditional gym chains. You'll see that the staff are also open to help and offer their two cents when asked. Just left esporta cause it's been way too packed there lately. This place is what almost gyms aspire to be. Like minded individuals willing to help. People are in incredible shape and very friendly. With Gold's Gym starting to feel more and more like a Tik Tok gym, those who miss the old Golds have been searching for a gym like this. Every piece of equipment is great, the members are all supporting each other, and it's an amazing gym. Started coming here because I train with one of the trainers who works out of this gym. I usually go to LA fitness so let me just say, walking into this place was kind of a shock. This gym is small, but gets the job done. It is a no-frills, serious-business, gym that tailors to hardcore fitness enthusiasts, most who are into body building and weight lifting. 70% of the gym is weight lifting machines, then they have a small cardio area and then a small room in the back to do free weights, row, punching bags and stretching. I have to say that it was a shock when I first started coming here, but I love the vibe. Good music that gets you in the workout mood with a bunch of people who workout hard and makes you feel like you want to push yourself to focus, train hard and achieve your goals. it's $35/month, no contract. You can cancel anytime, but have to cancel within 5 days of your card being charged. If you're in the area, check it out! read more

Run from this place. This gym is extremely unorganized. They rarely answer the phone, their voice mail box stays full so you can't even leave a message. I tried so many times to cancel my month to month membership and after a few days of trying, I decided to call my bank to stop future payments and this f*kn gym had the audacity to continue to try collect for an ENTIRE YEAR and then sent me to Collections (First Credit Collections Services) I had to fight to remove this credit ding but god damn this place is shady. read more

I had been contemplating joining this gym for months. The phone doesn't work and nobody replies to emails or DMs. That should've been the 1st red flag. I finally signed up yesterday ($50) and canceled today. These pics are extremely deceiving. It's very very outdated. Nobody racks their weights. The mats are falling apart. The machines are soooo close together downstairs that I was scared to walk through. There was a 5 year old just wandering around. The music is blasting so loud you can't even hear your own music. It's kind of like a Planet Fitness only more expensive and with better music, if by better music you mean a bunch of non-black people listening to the n-word every other sentence over decently produced beats. Maybe that's your thing, no judgement, it's just a fact. On top of that, the day pass I got charged for was $15 even though I was told $10 and the cash register rang up $10. The guy at the cash register manually entered a $15 charge. So I guess watch your wallet. I thought about saying something there but integrity is not about doing the right thing when you are told you're in the wrong. Even dogs learn not to piss on the carpet if you tell them enough times. Integrity is about doing what's right when no one is looking or says anything. Other than that, the lady up front was nice and informative, the owner (I guess maybe one of the owners) was cool about me paying after my workout and it's pretty clean and organized so you know it's mostly adults that go there. All the clients that were there when I visited seemed to follow good gym etiquette. Which is why trying to hustle me out of an extra $5 was so unexpected. A bunch of thieves who've been charging me for last 4 months after I canceled my membership over a year ago! The owner said that they froze our account while we specifically told them that we wanted to cancel when went there over a year ago! This is nothing new and I have seen this scam a lot of times, they tell you that they have cancelled your membership but they just freeze it in hope when it's activated again, you won't notice and they can charge you for no reason! read more

there is always someone filimg, and you'll be in the background of their videos and they don't bother to get your consent. Apparently you're allowed to use as many pieces of equipment as you want. People don't clean they're sweat off the machines. If you're filming or if you're a trainer, you're allowed to kick people off at anytime. Trainers are rude. Broken Equipment goes weeks with out it being fixed and the ceiling IS LITERALLY FALLING ON YOU. read more

First off this review is solely in regards to "personal trainer" Matt Diaz and has nothing to do with the gym environment and other staff. Where do I begin, I wish I can give zero stars.. Matt claims to be constantly having deals and promotions so when you sign up with his "deal" you honestly get what you pay for. Cheap trainer cheap training. He checks your weight and doesn't even consider checking body fat. Then days later after beginning gives you the lamest meal plan that seems like he typed in 2 minutes. As far as my training it was at 5am and he would show up till 5:30 or even later. He had the worst attitude and was so unprofessional. It wasn't one on one training he would just tell u what to do and be on his phone texting or on Instagram 90% of the time. I even tried approaching him about it before it became a problem via text and he was so quick to defend his position. He throws in your face that ur getting the deal of a lifetime, so I don't understand why he gives deals if he just lowers the value of training. I even recommended 3 friends because he said he would give me a month free. I'm beyond disappointed. All I needed was motivation and he did not deliver. Do not train with Matt Diaz, My friends are upset, my roommate quit with him, I have warned you all.. HUGE MISTAKE! I'm giving it 1 star because of a certain trainer by the name of Mike S, he canceled on me several times with lame excuses about being sick, but yet checking in at the gym on Instagram, have some common sense man. Then when we would finally schedule something he would not reply or cancel that same morning with more lame excuses. He was just wasting my time, so at the end I told him to keep the money for the sessions he owes me, it became obvious he needed the money more than me. WARNING DO NOT HIRE MIKE S. Real heavy hitters work out there, so don't be surprised when you bump into some fitness models or IFBB pros. Super friendly staff, and they don't make you feel like you are the little guy. The atmosphere can be intimidating at first, but the people that train here are very friendly and helpful to give fitness tips. I always have a great experience coming to this gym. My trainer, Raquel, is the best! She is thorough and is constantly adjusting the workout to fit my needs (which is so important to me since I have been having some health problems). I have been training with her on and off for almost two years now and she is always willing to work around my schedule. I have lost a total of 30 pounds since I started with her and I love how I look and feel! I like that she switches up the workouts to where I am not always doing the same exercises all the times because it challenges my body. I highly recommend this gym and training with Raquel. Love this gym. I have been a loyal customer for going on 3 years now. Never crazy crowded or long waits, if at all to use the machines, even at peak hours. They have lots of weights, even uncommon weights like 7lbs, 9lbs, or 13lbs... pretty cool for a smaller girl like myself. People are nice, atmosphere is chill, and people are actually working out rather than sitting down on a machine and texting. Gym membership is affordable. The only things they lack for me are: wifi, AC, and sometimes there isn't soap in the restrooms. Other than that, I'm a happy customer! :) Lastly, a huge shoutout to one of the employees at the gym, named Junior. I had a problem with getting charged for my membership every month even though I had already paid off my membership in full. This had went on for about a year and a half and I was stressing out because it was a lot of money. I addressed the issue to Junior and he took care of it right away.
