The EOS gym in Whittier is phenomenal. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a smile and…read morefriendly, professional staff. I primarily come to this location because I value a well-maintained, clean pool and this pool consistently delivers. It's always clean, clear, and well cared for, which makes swimming here a great experience. The locker rooms and showers are also consistently clean and properly maintained. Early on, I did have a concern about members taking photos and videos in the locker room while others were changing. However, management addressed the issue by posting visible signage on the mirrors, and it has made a noticeable improvement. Anytime I've brought up a concern, the staff has been responsive, respectful, and quick to take action. That level of professionalism goes a long way. I've been coming here for over a year after having a bad experience at another gym with poor pool conditions, and this location has been consistently reliable. My only downside is the distance I drive about 10 miles one way just to work out and use the pool. That alone should say how much I value this gym. If I lived closer, I'd be here even more often. Highly recommend this location.

Overall, EOS Fitness in Whittier is a decent gym that gets the job done, but there are definitely…read moresome things that could be improved. The staff can be welcoming and helpful, but depending on the day, they can also come across as less friendly or approachable. My bigger issue, though, is the gym etiquette from some of the members. I notice a lot of people don't wipe down their sweat after using benches or equipment, and some don't rerack their weights when they're finished. There was actually one situation where a guy finished his workout, left the bench covered in his sweat, and walked away. I politely asked him, "Hey, are you done with this?" He just stared at me and walked away without saying anything or wiping down the bench. Like, come on, dude. Talk about being a jerk. It takes a few seconds to wipe down the equipment after you're done using it. I also wish people were more aware of their surroundings when recording themselves. If you're filming a workout, that's fine, but getting annoyed because someone happens to walk behind you or needs to walk through the area to rerack weights is unnecessary. The gym is a shared space, not a personal studio. Be aware that other people are trying to work out too. Another major issue is how overcrowded it can get, especially around 4:00 a.m. I'm sometimes like, "Damn, it's this crowded already?" The gym has a lot of equipment, but when it's packed, getting to the equipment or dumbbells you actually want can feel like navigating an obstacle course. You might have to go around multiple people, benches, machines, or weights just to get to the equipment you're trying to use. That being said, I do like the gym overall. It has plenty of equipment and it gets the job done. I just think better gym etiquette from members, a little more awareness when filming, and better management of the crowded areas would make the experience much better.

The classes are never boring, challenge you, and the teachers hold you accountable, all in their own way. The 5 am workout class works best with my work schedule but I love the flexibility this gym provides by giving me access to the rest the of the gym while the next workout class starts up. At 56 years old, I wanted to avoid injury & additional aches & pains to my joints (which were brought on by running Marathons). I made it a priority to focus on body form & flexibility. At 5 or 6 weeks in, I started adding weights to the workout & I'm loving the results. I'm slowly & cautiously adding weights as time goes on & I'm learning to trust the process as I see the transformation & sculpting my body is taking on. Part of the process is changing my habits to make consistency part of my health journey & TRUSTING-the-PROCESS. The absolute BEST thing about this gym is the GOAT, Coach Juden. She is very knowledgeable, understanding, & supportive without sounding like a drill Sargent (though, I'm sure she can pile it on if that is your style). The energy at this gym is always positive, which influences my day to stay on the positive side. I love their weekly focus schedule. Take a look, I attached a photo.

I had the experience to visit as a VIP guest through my wife's membership and instantly, I was able to experience the vibes of UFC Gym. Parking - Free in a huge parking lot, Interior is very spacious and the locker rooms are clean as well, I often see staff cleaners so it seems like they're pretty well maintained. This specific location is very spacious, you'll find all the standard work out machines here along with turf to workout on and UFC specific machines, etc such as their boxing ring, punching bags, tires, etc. My wife and I love to work out so we'll find ourselves visiting almost everyday of the week. They have good hours as well, not 24/7 but close to it, great for early birds as well as late night workouts. They have fitness classes, personal workout coaches, as well as recovery machines, all that I haven't had the chance to utilize yet but they seem pretty popular. This is certainly a top quality gym with a variety of machines, weights, etc. Very happy that my wife recommended me to check out UFC gym. and I can certainly vouch to workout here rather than other gyms. Let me start by saying this: I never write Yelp reviews. I'm honestly lazy when it comes to things…read morelike this, but today's experience at CrossFit Whittier was good enough to make me sit down and write one. I normally train six days a week at la fitness, I have a coach and a nutrition plan, but I always work out alone. Lately, I've felt like my training just isn't enough, especially as I prepare for LAPD. Yesterday during lapd training, we all got smoked. It was embarrassing and a big wake up call, that we're not as prepared as we think we are. This morning, I woke up around 8:30 AM planning my usual long training day, but my gym closed early for the holiday, which frustrated me. Another cadet had told me before, "You should try CrossFit," but she was in last place during our run, so I brushed it off. But after talking to more people, I realized maybe she was right, maybe CrossFit is exactly what we need to improve our conditioning, especially running, which is one of my biggest weaknesses. So I decided to call CrossFit Whittier. Steven picked up. I explained my goals and what I'm preparing for. He didn't try to sell me anything, didn't pressure me, didn't hit me with "you need to sign up first" he simply said, "Come check it out. Come get a workout for free." I showed up, introduced myself, and he showed me around. He put me through a workout, and honestly? It wasn't enough for me, I wanted more. So he gave me an extra workout to do, even though it was Thanksgiving and even though the gym was technically closed. That small extra session kicked my butt in the best way possible and made me realize I was in the right place. What stood out to me the most was that he didn't rush me, didn't send me home, and didn't act like his time was more important. He stayed with me to make sure I was doing the movements correctly. No other business owner would have done that on a holiday. He also gave me a law enforcement discount, which I truly appreciated. I left feeling grateful, motivated, and honestly excited to come back. I'm looking forward to training here every day, getting to know everyone, helping where I can, and pushing myself to be better. Even though today was my first day, this review should show you that the experience was meaningful enough for me to write all this. If one day was this good, I can only imagine what the rest is going to be like. The short workout I did here was already better and more humbling than anything I've done recently at my regular gym. I absolutely recommend CrossFit Whittier to anyone, especially if you're preparing for law enforcement, military, or simply looking to push your limits the right way.
