We were greeted upon arriving by Paula, who was deftly handling a couple of other shoppers, and were thrilled she took the time to devote her attention to us so quickly. We came with room layouts with dimensions and a range for each room's rug type possibilities we'd already felt could work. Paula helped us zoom right in to both new roll and remnant possibilities quickly. We chose and sat down to work through the edge finishing options within minutes. The owner was circulating, answering questions, and we came to know that everyone around us had worked for him for a decade or more. Between the care taken by Paula and her teammates and the ease of the transaction, we confirmed how both the new roll and remnants would be cut and finished, and were connected with an excellent delivery service to bring our finished goods to the city. Not for a minute did we feel rushed or not completely looked after. Not only will the Carpetman see us again for both our East End and City-based needs, we've already urged others to go there who are in the market for rugs, flooring, window treatments and the like. VERY POOR EXPERIENCE....WOULD ADVISE NOT TO USE THIS COMPANY:…read more1) In power washing an IPE deck Schindler's machinery left permanent dark stains on various portions of the deck. Subsequent powerwashing did not remove the stains which I assume were caused by one of the liquids they were using. 2) Instead of lifting up deck furniture, workers dragged some of it across the deck causing several long approx. 10 ft. scratches. 3) Workers used a power washer that was too strong for the walls of the outdoor shower and fencing, turning a layer of wood into dust which got stuck all over the side of my house, outdoor fixtures, air conditioner, etc. 4) Powerwashing machinery left on lawn burned the grass turning it yellow. AFTER PAYING SCHINDLER'S INVOICE, I HAVE NOW HAD TO SPEND MANY HOURS TRYING TO CORRECT THE ABOVE MISTAKES! VERY FRUSTRATED BY THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK!

Today Ocean electric just rolled up to my house to put a "guy wire" on a pole installed 3 months ago? PSE&G have shown up to the house looking to connect me 3 x with truck crews. Walking away shaking their head. Asking Me to have Ocean electric call them! I told them, they won't even call me! I'd look for another Company on Long Island to do anything of significance. Communication is key when having a job done and this company lacks it. Your never too big to treat your customers right Ocean.
