We had a very shaky toilet that another plumber "fixed" 5 months prior. Mike got down to the bottom of the problem and gave me updates on what he was finding every step of the way. There were some major issues that needed to be fixed and Mike did not take any shortcuts, he was very transparent from start to finish. Our flange was rotted and Mike removed the broken flange put in a new flange set in concrete. He put in a new toilet and sealed it with silicone. We were charged $145 and hour + the price of supplies. It was worth every cent to know that everything was done properly this time around.

Bad Plumber, whose name is Edwin, completely botched a bathtub install. The miserable lying…read moresellers, whom I do not wish well, had removed the tub drain so that only the shower could be used. When I took a bath, the reason became obvious: the tub drained into the living room. The large volume of water was too much for the leaking pipes. ARRRRRGGGGHHH. So I replaced the tub with a bigger, deeper tub, and hired Bad Plumber to install it. He claimed that he repaired the leaking pipe. That was a lie. I took a bath, and it leaked again. Bad Plumber said that he would fix it. He did not return. So I called Roto-Rooter, because they guarantee their work. And they're a well-known company. Mike showed up on time. Gave me an estimate. It wasn't too bad. THEN he claimed that he needed a helper to thread a pipe through the ceiling, and no I couldn't do it. The other guy was going to cost an additional $450. UGH. For HOLDING A PIPE. He also insisted on replacing the bath fixtures. More money. Smh. They were brand new. So Mike did fix the leak. Months later, it's still holding up. But...he didn't want to replace the Sheetrock he cut out of the living room ceiling. He was going to just leave me WITH A LARGE HOLE IN MY LIVING ROOM CEILING. I told him that was unacceptable. He told me he's not a "drywall guy." I insisted he replace it, and he did, begrudgingly. He removed three panels from the bathroom wall, and didn't replace them, because "he's not a carpenter." They're still loose, because I can't quite get them back in. He left the old pipes and debris LYING ON MY DECK AND THE GRASS. I guess he's "not a garbage man" either. I should not have to clean up after a "professional," but I did. So....plumbing work: Excellent. No complaints. Mess left behind, extra helper nonsense, and sulking over the ceiling: Poor.

What was supposed to be a one-day job took three days. He did request an adjustment to the previously-agreed upon price, and that was fair. He put in a lot of work, staying until 7 pm at night. Cesar did an AMAZING job with the assembly. There were eight boxes of cedar wood, polycarbonate panels, a power port, a hose hookup, windows that open, a vent fan...and all the parts were in different boxes. Cesar opened all the boxes and organized all the pieces before getting started. I will absolutely hire Versatil/Cesar for any and all carpentry. It's rare to find someone who takes pride in doing the best possible job. Cesar is that rare someone. I also cannot overstate my appreciation that they cleaned up EVERY night. Too many contractors, especially plumbers, seem to think that I should clean up after them. I'm not their mommy. I recommend Cesar unreservedly. A true professional, and a very nice, personable young man, as well. He has a very pleasant personality. His wife is charming, and it was really a pleasure to meet both of them
