I stopped at another place in Southampton and left right away because I could tell it was just beyond what we could afford. All custom everything. On a whim decided to stop at Hamptons Carpet One and it was one of the best decisions I made regarding the ADU! Eugenia greeted us and gave us an honest, up front assessment of our needs and what would work. We never felt pressured. We walked away so much informed and decided to go with engineered flooring instead of the LVT. We let our builder know about our visit. He was just as excited about the product we found. The next thing we know, we're ordering 36 boxes of engineered wood flooring that looks BEAUTIFUL. Excellent quality at an affordable price with great service. These peope know their stuff, and even when I called, and spoke to other staff, it was like talking to family. So helpful. I can't recommend them enough! I'm grateful we have a resource like them on the East End. They serve all sorts of clientele. Again, are very knowledgeable and although we didn't need them to install, they offered a great package if they did. You have to stop in at least once in your journey for the right flooring. Thank you Eugenia and the staff at Hamptons Carpet One Floor & Home!

Paint job, which should have lasted at least 5 years, lasted me one when peeling and chipping started. After contacting owner and having him inspect the job he promised me he would be back to rectify the problem and send me a quote for an additional job I had for him (not painting). That was more than 10 days ago. I haven't heard from him since. I cannot recommend this company for performance/work guaranty and now I am questioning the integrity of the products used. Should have lasted much longer. Very dissapointed with the lack of follow-up. Update: 12/9/23 Never heard back from Guillermo on either the estimate or fulfilling the warranty on the paint job. I had another professional painter look at the paint job his crew did and as suspected, the paint was thinned before applying so it wouldn't have lasted anyway (this is exterior pain). IMHO this company cheats customers and does not fulfill their warranty. Extremely disappointing. 1

We saw they had a one-day annual sale in September, so off we went to explore what they had. We were blown away by the breadth of selection for not only carpets and rugs, but all types of flooring, window treatments and textiles. This is one of the rare remaining non-chain places that clearly takes pride in both wide selection and customer service. We were greeted upon arriving by Paula, who was deftly handling a couple of other shoppers, and were thrilled she took the time to devote her attention to us so quickly. We came with room layouts with dimensions and a range for each room's rug type possibilities we'd already felt could work. Paula helped us zoom right in to both new roll and remnant possibilities quickly. We chose and sat down to work through the edge finishing options within minutes. The owner was circulating, answering questions, and we came to know that everyone around us had worked for him for a decade or more. Between the care taken by Paula and her teammates and the ease of the transaction, we confirmed how both the new roll and remnants would be cut and finished, and were connected with an excellent delivery service to bring our finished goods to the city. Not for a minute did we feel rushed or not completely looked after. Not only will the Carpetman see us again for both our East End and City-based needs, we've already urged others to go there who are in the market for rugs, flooring, window treatments and the like. We ended up paying almost $600 to replace a switch.
