I didn't even need an eye exam or new frames; I just needed to get my favorite pair of glasses…read morefixed, and Empire Optical did it so easily and for free! As soon as you walk in, you're met with a massive selection of beautiful frames, and what I think is super unique about their store is that they're pet-friendly! They had two dogs, Elton and Bowie, wandering around while you shop, and they're so sweet. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and I'm looking forward to going back for a new pair of frames in the near future!

I went to pick up my glasses today and was very disappointed with the entire experience. First, I…read morenever received a phone call letting me know that my glasses were ready. I had to stop by on my own, which I found to be very unprofessional. When I arrived, the staff could not locate my glasses. The employee assisting me did not know where they were, and another staff member had to suggest another location to search. He then had to ask one of the owner's family members where the glasses were before they were finally found. Once I received the glasses, I immediately noticed that my vision was blurry. When I mentioned this, I was told that the lenses had "two dots" on them. I asked what the dots had to do with my inability to see clearly, and they explained that the glasses had been made as reading glasses. This was the first time I had heard that. When I placed my order, I clearly explained that I wanted to use one pair of glasses that I had previously purchased in Kansas (and got those repaired at Eyewear they did a fabulous job) for night glare, and I wanted this pair for daytime use while also allowing me to read if needed. At no point was it explained to me that the lenses would be made specifically as reading glasses. Instead of attempting to resolve the issue, the staff removed the new lenses, reinstalled my old lenses so I could see properly, and placed the new lenses in a plastic bag. There was no apology, no effort to correct the mistake, and no attempt to make things right. I was told that the employee who originally took my order must have been confused. If that was the case, I do not understand why the business was unwilling to correct the error and provide the service that was requested. Mistakes happen, but customer service is measured by how those mistakes are handled. To make matters worse, I had to ask the employee assisting me if she could at least put my glasses in a proper case or container. After paying $95, I expected some level of care and professionalism. Instead, she offered me a Ziploc-style plastic bag. If that was the only option available, it certainly did not reflect good customer service or concern for the customer experience. I also was not offered any refund, credit, discount, or other solution. As a result, I am now left waiting until I can have the lenses corrected so that I can receive the progressive lenses that were apparently needed. Unfortunately, no one took the time to explain the importance of progressive lenses to me during the ordering process, which could have prevented this entire situation. At this point, I am out $95 and still do not have the glasses I believed I was purchasing. What is most frustrating is that no one seemed interested in resolving the problem or ensuring that I left as a satisfied customer. The entire experience left me feeling undervalued, dismissed, and frustrated. and by the way, these were Versace glasses that I owned and was putting new lenses in. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business. The lack of communication, disorganization, poor customer service, and unwillingness to resolve a mistake made by their staff left me extremely dissatisfied. I will not be returning. I wouldn't recommend this business to my dog. Not if my dog needed a glasses. The only reason why I'm giving one star is because I can't get past this point without giving a star they don't deserve one star not the way I was treated. I would like my $95 back. I need a refund. I don't even get to enjoy the glasses. I left with nothing. They put my old lenses back in the glasses.

It depends on the doctor. I had Dr Cooper who was great but is no longer there. Then I had Dr…read moreSidiqui. He did my cataract surgery. He didn't warn me that I would no longer be able to see up close. Even with glasses, I can't see what I did before. And he diagnosed me with AMD age-related Macular Degeneration and said I'd be blind in both eyes within 10 years, but I'd be dead by then anyway so don't worry. Well, I was 65. My folks usually live to be 98 on average. Some 105! So no I won't be dead by then. I got a second opinion from a retina specialist who said that I only had one spot with AMD, and it was unlikely to cause blindness, but that i should be checked annually just in case. If it did spread, there are shots that can be given in the eyes to slow it down. And it does NOT always move to the other eye as Dr Sudiqui had told me. Dr Sudiqui also wanted me to have another surgery to correct the glare I was experiencing. But I only get glare when I'm wearing glasses, so how is surgery going to fix that? The specialist said no I don't need that surgery and it wouldn't help that problem. I need glasses that don't reflect as much light into my eyes.

I had the car so I could see them. One man was checking out a customer. There was one customer in line. In several minutes the customer waiting left. I asked if we were next in line. I was told yes. I said can I go get my mom and keep my place in line? He told me yes. When I got out the wheelchair, brought her in, the other lady working there was waiting on a lady, who apparently walked in while I was bringing in my mom. I said I thought you were holding my spot. He just shrugged. We waited about 10 min hoping the guy getting checked out would be done soon. So disrespectful. I had already picked out the glasses for mom before I went to get her. I put them on a shelf and left. What has happened to keeping your word? He knew I was bringing in my 86-year-old mom. Total disregard for us. I know nothing will happen, but I think people need to know how we were treated. If I could rate below 1 I would.
