I came in this weekend already feeling hesitant because I previously worked in an optician owned optical, which is unfortunately becoming a dying breed. I'm also limited to using VSP insurance, which already narrows frame options, so I wasn't expecting much but I was still surprised at just how poor the experience was. When I walked in, not a single person acknowledged me. Yes, they were somewhat busy, but not so busy that someone couldn't at least say hello or let me know they'd be with me shortly. Several technicians were standing in the lobby and at the counter and had multiple opportunities to acknowledge customers. I decided to give them some grace and browsed the frame selection. Unfortunately, the selection was very generic and the same cookie cutter brands you see everywhere. No independent lines, nothing unique, nothing that felt curated. After nearly 25 minutes of browsing, I still hadn't been acknowledged. As I was preparing to leave, another customer walked in and experienced the same thing... standing awkwardly in the middle of the lobby waiting for eye contact or direction before eventually sitting down looking just as uncomfortable as I felt. The overall experience made me feel like a number, not a customer. It's disappointing to see large, doctor-owned optical chains taking over while the personal service and expertise that used to define this industry continues to disappear. First, I have nothing but the highest praise for Dr. Lee and her assistants Brian and Andrew. Dr. Lee has been instrumental in preserving my vision. Also Heather, the Valeda LED treatment Technician is a joy. The administration of the clinic is another story. As the yelp reviews of the past 10 years reflect, you need to plan to be in the clinic for 90 minutes to 2 hours before actually seeing a doctor. Best to just accept this as part of the cost of accessing their expertise. I was REALLY ENRAGED by the circumstances of my last appointment. I've been a patient there for several years and live 90 minutes away from the clinic. They called and asked if my afternoon appointment in two weeks could be changed to a Monday at 8AM. I agreed, though it would cause me some logistical problems. Got up at 5:30AM, took care of some issues that couldn't wait, left home at 6:30, arrived at 8am. Sat in the waiting room till 9AM, got called into the exam room expecting to receive the injection (which was the purpose of the appointment). At that point I was informed that Prism had not received authorization for the injection and I should go home! GRRRRRRR!!! I got new glasses with my insurance company and didn't have to pay anything for the first pair then I seen a aid on your website and got the second pair free I decided the first time to go without my bifocal then within two weeks I wanted the progressive bifocal and you guys took the time to get them covered to were I paid nothing out of pocket the first time I got a text saying they were done and the second time was fast too even when I dropped them off at closing time you guys came through and fixed everything am go glad I came back in and got the progressive bifocal I don't have to take them off to write this review read more

One employee in the store assisting customers. All I had to do is pick up my glasses and leave. But no, lets make everyone wait while you're assisting someone who is buying glasses. Has no clue to the frames they want and is going to have to go through the whole process of getting glasses. Not only that but the individual working is very arrogant. Has no concern about customer service. There were at least 4 other people in the store waiting besides myself and she didn't even acknowledge them. This definitely will be the las time I use their service. Addition to my first review. Even though I had a negative experience my first visit this morning I still had to return as I was unable to get my new glasses on my first visit. I returned later and another employee helped me immediately. She was friendly, personable and very professional. With her help I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. read more

I do not live in the area but visit friends here one to two times per year. Because I had such exceptional customer service and care the two times I went in with an emergency, I began using this location for my new eyeglass purchases. There are times in every business where customers outnumber staff and I would hope that any mature person would understand that and either wait or return when they are able to do so we're it required. read more

It was time for me to get new glasses and I'd seen the Eyemart Express ad on TV so I decided to go there for fast service and big selection. I bought two pairs of glasses. Both of them were made wrong! I live two hours from the store, but made the drive back to have them checked. They tried again but they were still wrong! When I went there a THIRD time I was told I should go back to my doctor to see if my eyes had changed. I did so and was told my Rx was correct, the lenses were made wrong! DO NOT use this business. They make all sorts of excuses. This was in addition to another bad review I made about the manager. read more

I want to give them 5 stars because of the lady Deniece who helped me after the fact but the new "GM", what a joke. He's condescending, fake sounding and just plain unprofessional. He talked so rude on the phone to people and voices way to much of his opinion in a really bad and unprofessional way. I would recommend this store if you can avoid the gm Pat. Went to EyeMart on Indiana in Spokane, WA today with my husband and we both had eye exams from Dr. Jeff - amazing, professional and competent young man. After the eye exams, we both went next door and were assisted by Sheena to purchase glasses and readers. Sheena is friendly, professional and wonderful to work with. She helped us get the best glasses for the money. The store was super clean, all employees wearing masks and we both felt really safe. Would highly recommend this business to everyone!
