I was living in my contacts (and a crappy pair of backup glasses) which is never a good situation to be in. I brought the frame in to Sally's and they ordered new lenses for me; I was quoted 4 weeks, which is understandable due to supply chain delays these days, but the lenses arrived in just 2 weeks. I was still apprehensive because I've had issues with peripheral distortion in the past (I have a moderately high Rx), but I went in, tried on the glasses, and they were crystal clear! A few days later, I realized that the frame was feeling pretty tight, despite having worn it regularly in an attempt to stretch it a bit, so I called Sally's and scheduled an appointment (same day!) for an adjustment. The optician made several tweaks to the frame and made sure I was comfortable before sending me on my way. Everybody I've interacted with at Sally's has been ridiculously kind and accommodating. It's obvious that this shop is a Charlotte institution because it's been busy every time I've gone in, and seems to have a very loyal and discerning customer base. They only sell the best and are unapologetic about how much that costs (as they should be). If you care about your eyewear and want the highest quality materials, from frames to lenses, Sally's is the only shop you need!

Even though it was a 25 minute drive, I made appointment for today. Morgan greeted me very personably as I entered and after I showed her damage to frames, she took them and in less than 15 minutes brought them out to me as good as new. When I pulled out my wallet to pay, she said there was no charge. This visit exceeded my expectations. Plus, the business had a really cool vibe and very friendly opticians. Dr Thomas is typically my provider. He is authentically personable and funny. He is thorough and straightforward in his diagnostic process as well as in explaining. Excellent bedside manner. I can honestly say, I love them both as my eye care providers. Being in allied health, I understand that with the many transitions they've had to make, haps have inevitably occurred but I have seen them work hard to tighten up when things have come to their attention.

In addition to regular annual visits, Dr. Crawford tries to accommodate problem visits should they arise. I shall not mention any names…read more The eye doctor I used to see in the area had the bedside manner of a bored sloth. The doctor at Huntersville Eye Care Center took a while to warm up, but once he did, he was very easy to talk to and he laughed genuinely and often. Friendly and knowledgeable guy with a calm demeanor. I'm always worried when the eye doctor takes that magnifying-glass-thingy and gets really close to your eye. This stems from an experience back in NY. That dude's mouth was WAY to close to mine. If I was Popeye, I woulda eaten me spinach. I was quite perturbed and borderline breaking point (takes a lot). He finally pulled away. With body language and tone of voice, I let him know I wasn't happy and wouldn't return. This eye doctor doesn't play those games. Very professional. The day after the eye tests (very thorough and no eye dilation but lots of lights), I woke up with vertigo. After brushing my teeth, I needed to use the wall for balance, then sat on the bed, then slid off the bed. The worst is at the gym. I hide it well (I think) because I don't want someone working there telling me I'm not in condition to work out. It will eventually pass. Had it for six months once already (gym included with no problems). I don't know if this is result of eye test or coincidence. I recommend this eye doctor. Everyone there is friendly and professional.
