I love both pairs of glasses both for appearance and quality - just as perfect as ones from the eye dr's office. The price was very reasonable for what I received. I used the 'try-on' feature to help make my selection and, while not perfect, it got the job done and helped me pick out two pairs of glasses which are flattering to me. Went to their store today to shop for glasses for my wife. They work with our insurance so we expected a pretty good deal. The cost for one pair of glasses for her after insurance, was $380.00. We left to shop around. Went to America's Best and picked out comparable frames, with the exact same prescription lenses. They also work with our insurance. The total cost was $74.00. On 9/25/24 around 5:20PM I arrived at Eyemart on Coliseum Blvd to pick up my warranty replacement lenses for my Oakley frames that I ordered from Oakley direct. I contracted Eyemart express to replace the lenses due to scratching that had happened to them, which was my own fault. Upon arriving I was greeted by an associate with a "Ma" name, I do not remember her full name. She took me to the back side of the front counter and I handed her my frames. She effortlessly popped out my old lenses, and attempted to put in the new lenses purchased through Eyemart. She then noticed and told me "they made the lenses a little too big, I can't get them in, I'm going to go in the back to trim them, and get them to fit". After about 15 minutes of waiting she came back out to tell me she got them in, but broke my frames doing so. After looking, she broke off the left nose piece. After some bantering she told me she could give me a $100 credit to new frames, of which is about 1/3rd the cost of the frames she broke. She told me I signed a waiver (a year ago) that waived any wrong doing if they were to break my frames. She never said sorry, never sympathized, and all the other associates smirked when she said I signed a waiver. This speaks volumes to the lack of technical ability and quite frankly competency of the entire staff there that night. I was very boisterous in my distaste of the situation, and I could see other guest extremely surprised on how she was handling the situation. Zero ownership in her mistake, and zero empathy. All this to say, I highly doubt the GM or DM to stand behind me, and this will likely go unnoticed, or responded to. It's clear that the management there is not doing their part and letting their employees act with negligence. 50 years ago a upset customer might tell 6 people about their experience. Super busy during our visit and seemingly understaffed. For Covid, they have you put all the pairs you try on in a basket so they can be sanitized before they are returned to the displays. This is a good idea, if they are appropriately staffed and able to return the glasses to the shelves in a timely manner. But there were two buckets of glasses awaiting sanitization during my visit. This means that there was a large part of the selection we didnt get to see. Service was great. Jenae helped us and she was patient, pleasant and informative. She seemed to genuinely care that we had a positive experience and were satisfied with our purchase. I would definitely return--just not on a Saturday. read more

The doctor and the woman who guided me through getting my contacts in and out were especially helpful, as it was my first time using contacts. I broke my glasses shortly before christmas, with an upcoming trip out of state necessitating new glasses fast. My prescription is so bad (-12) that normally it takes weeks to get new glasses in, and at least one week for contacts. I called around and finally settled on Eyemart Express - who didn't take my insurance, but said they could make me glasses in one day. I was seen and given an exam within minutes of walking in and signing paperwork, helped to pick out glasses that were best for my face, prescription, and price range, and my glasses were done within 3 hours. Scheduled an appointment and asked if they took my insurance. The receptionist said yes. When I got there they said there was a different doctor in and couldn't take EyeMed insurance. Apparently you have you double and triple check with this place that they'll accept your insurance! Will not be returning. Don't waste your time, they'll probably turn you away at the door read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! Even though I have a medical condition which precludes me from wearing a mask (makes me pass out) they kicked me out of the store. Even when I tried to tell them I get tested regularly last results were gotten yesterday and no virus, they still kicked me out. They have caved to this panic and have lost any future business from me and I spend over 500$ each time I need glasses. Do not go here, they do not understand people with special needs at all. My experience was not good. I came in with a new prescription looking for a pair of progressive lens glasses. I found some frames I liked, went through a few crude measurements, and they were ready the same day. When I picked them up, right away I said something was wrong. I could not read small print that I could read with my old glasses. I know with new glasses there is an adjustment period so I tried them overnight and into the next day. No better. Went back the next day. I was told to go back to my eye doctor and make sure the prescription was right. I did that. My eye doctor said the progressive part of the lens was placed too low. Which is what I suspected to begin with. At first Eyemart was willing to reposition the progressive part of the lens. After quite a few measurements and discussions with two employees, they determined the progressive portion of the lens was in the ONLY position it could be and they could not move it. I didn't believe it, but that was their final determination. I tried the glasses for a good three days, ran into print I couldn't read, finally put my old glasses on, it was like having new glasses. I usually don't waste money, but I feel like I did here. I originally asked for a refund. For that I would have to speak to a manager (no manager on duty). Needless to say, I won't be back unless it's for a refund. read more

I recently visited the Eyemart Express on Coliseum. I found them to be helpful, pleasant, friendly and professional. Huge selection of frames, no high pressure sales and answered all my questions. I had a prescription recently issued from one of their competitors. They made my glasses in less than 4 hours. Fit was great but the prescription was awful, could not see much clearly. On 7/3/20 I took the new glasses back in and they checked my old prescription against the new one from their competitor. It was so far off the examiner said they must have written a number wrong or something. Their examiner did an exam that was very thorough and found the problem. They remade my glasses in record time, less than 40 minutes and they were perfect!!! Manager Janice and her team are all fantastic!!! If I could give 10 stars I would. Fast, courteous and caring...I could not be happier and will never go anywhere else for all my future eye care needs.... read more

REDICULOUS! Advertised the exam free if bought 2 pair of glasses. If not, then it was $49. Dr. was late getting there, and rushed me through like a freight train. Got the exam bill and it was $90. He said because he had me try in some contacts. Might have wanted to let me know before he had me try them in. Then had to wait an hour to ORDER the glasses. They weren't happy that I wanted to keep my own frames and have the lenses replaced. Said I had to pay for a more expensive lense because my glasses were small, so I did. Each time you go, you have to sign in, and wait for them to call you. They see all the people WANTING glasses before they will see the ones picking up the glasses. Of course, they already have your money! The "glasses in 1 hour" advertised ended up to be 3 1/2, as I wandered around aimlessly not being able to see anything. When I got my glasses I couldn't see. They said to try them, it was because the Rx had changed. Wore them for a week, nauseated with migraines. Finally called them and said it wasn't working. They said bring them back. Had to sign in and wait 1 1/2 hours,to have the girl tell me, I had to see the manager, that she couldn't help me. Called to be sure he would be there when I went back. Waited another hour, and they said, "Sorry, he's in a meeting." Waited about another 1/2 hour, and he said, well, we need to change your lenses. Had to leave and come back because they were "too busy". Fortunately daughter was with me to drive. Had to purchase readers so I could 1/2 see in the mean time. After 5 trips to their store, and at least 15 hours of waiting to be seen, I get the new lenses, and they were worse than the first set. I politely asked for my money back, and he was extremely reluctant to refund it, saying that they had done the work, and it was just me, and that bifocals are impossible to put in that frame. I knew that wasn't true because I had them in before, when I originally bought the glasses at Walmart, and could see just fine. He eventually refunded the money. I said, "So I can at least partially see, can you please put my old lenses in that I had when I came in?" He said, "Sorry, we threw them away." NICE! He insisted that it wouldn't help to go to Walmart because they use the exact same lenses, which is not true at all. Had to make a special trip to Walmart, have them order them, and I'm another 10 days before I can see. MORAL OF THE STORY! CHEAPER ISN'T BETTER. EVERY ADVERTISEMENT HAS A CATCH. IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS. THE BITTERNESS OF POOR QUALITY LINGERS FAR LONGER THAN THE SWEETNESS OF LOW PRICE. MY ADVICE? Go to Walmart Vision Center at Apple Glen. They know what they're doing. In the long run, I ended up wasting more time, gas, time off work, and misery from not being able to see, It cost me $25 more for the lenses at Walmart which were polycarbonate, and polished, so it was worth it, and their exam would have been less expensive too. I would not only never go to Eyemart Express, I wouldn't send my worst enemy there either. read more

You get what you pay for here people. My glasses haven't been right since I got them. I've gone back twice and they've "corrected" them, but they still aren't right. Can't see well out of one of the lenses and the glasses were so crooked even after they adjusted them. I ended up going to a local eye care professional and got them adjusted CORRECTLY for free. Definitely will not be going to this place again. read more
