I took my mother in today after leaving Danny vision completely devastated at what they had done to my mother and how they had costed her over $500 for a pair of damaged eyeglasses. Walking in the door the doctor hard as I started to explain about the glasses Danny vision had messed up and would not fix or refund and he came immediately over and asked how he could help. They were very helpful and made my mother feel so much better and now they have another customer who will be going back. They are always attentive and personal and you are never in there for very long their work is top notch and I would recommend them to anyone

Dr. Hornsby examined me. I told the woman that was supposed to assist me that they are not what I wanted, so she told me that they could substitute those with regular precription lens. All I had to do was wait until the replacement glasses came in and they would call me to bring in my own frames and the refit would take about an hour. Well, they did call me and they prepared the regular lens to fit my frame. When I sat down to try the glasses on, the same woman sat down accross from me and immediately accused me of cussing and told me that my conduct was not allowed in the store. I was totally shocked by her accusation and asked where that came from because I did not cuss at anyone at any time and she told me that 2 other employees heard me and told her. My wife was with me and she said I did not cuss at all. The woman then told me that the store has microphones and that she would listen to hear what I said. Well, she never got back to me on that and the new glasses are totally useless because when I put them on, everything was distorted and blurry. I told her that and she said that I just had to get used to them. Get used to them, have you ever had to get used to a pair of prescription glasses? I'm 87 years old and a retired, decorated U.S. Navy veteran and I have had dozens of prescription glasses in my life and never had to GET USED TO THEM. I also have never been treated so badly at any store in my entire life. The woman that said I was cussing and assisted me was very rude to say the least. She would not listen long enough for me to tell her what the problem was with the glasses. Now I'm out $533 and no glasses. I bought a pair of Walmart READERS for about $12 and can read and see better then what I got at this place. PLEASE, don't go to this store for anything.

The check in process has been the worst I've ever seen. People that came in after us were seen…read morebefore us. We love Dr. Denny. But the out front service is going to force me to find a new optometrist. Tried talking to office manager but they were not working today. One person left and at least two to three others weren't happy as well. Not only were they incorporated they were rude. Our 10:20 appointment turned into 11:30 and it was after 1:00 before we left.

I don't mind waiting for quality and accuracy. The staff was professional and well coordinated. Each person knew exactly what he/she was suppose to do. Even with difficult patients the staff remained calm. No personal chatter or complaining behind the desk. Just smile more. I have been a patient since 1986 and still happy. I normally deal with Walmart optical center, but I've grown increasingly frustrated with their total lack of customer service and I will gladly go elsewhere if at all possible. I did an online search and found America's best, decided it couldn't possibly be any worse than Walmart, so I made an appointment online. I have to say that I'm impressed with their Dothan location and will definitely go back. I read online that appointments take aproximately 55 minutes. My appointment took a little longer than that, but was under an hour and a half. In that time I filled out paperwork, had my eye exam, my eyes dialated, picked out frames, had the second part of my exam, and purchased two sets of frames. That's pretty good IMHO. I also really can't believe how affordable the visit was. I spent $91 and got a comprehensive exam and two sets of glasses. They had a 2/$69 with free exam (the dialation service was $15 extra) deal that I decided to try out. Beat that Walmart. Oh no, you can't. I'm not sure who can actually. And their frames aren't total junk. I had a really hard time narrowing down my choices because of the wide selection. I also liked the doctor there, Dr Jensen. He had a lot of patients during my time there, but the line moved pretty quickly. He was just as thorough as any other eye doctor I've been to and had a pleasant demeanor. I've been suffering from really dry eyes and he recommended drops that have helped a lot. I didn't feel like I was being rushed at all during my exam and that I got a thorough evaluation. The staff was all very courteous and helpful as well. I was very happy with my experience and would give them repeat business in the future. Note: I haven't picked up my frames or had them fitted yet so I'll have to update later with that part of the review.
