I received less than average service at this particular location. People who are actually there don't even attempt to help and when they do- it's lackluster service. Even going to the counter to pick up my glasses there were 2 women there, no one even acknowledged my presence. I always wait when approaching because you don't want to assume they are available or they have another customer, so I waited a few moments to be sure. One started cleaning the counter. The other talking on the phone- a personal call- so I approached and they were not happy I pulled them to ask for my glasses that were ready. I did happen to have to go back to have my glasses adjusted and a cute young girl with glasses was welcoming people in. She assisted me and was able to adjust my glasses - as the person who should take the time to do when you receive/pick up your glasses but they didn't. I went back about 2 more times after that and only dealt with her due to all experiences. SHE is the reason this Eyemart Express gets the single star. What is important but unfortunate, I can't remember her name! Where in the world in this city is consistent great glasses and customer care!? I found 1 place then they closed. read more

I walked into Eyemart express today to purchase glasses, I have used this company for years. On today I was not acknowledged nor greeted when I approached the service desk. There was two employees speaking amongst themselves maybe about what was on the computer screen. However, they did not look up to greet me and another employee come over after six minutes of being there. This particular employee offered me to look around for frames. Yet, she began to assist someone who walked in after me. I find this to be completely unacceptable as well as inappropriate. When I entered the waiting room the staff was very unprofessional and the lady at the main desk was having her lunch right at the damn window for patients to see . Parking was very accessible. It really depends on who is working , we came here and the first time we came to get our glasses made the ladies that we're working that day did an amazing job, we were greeted as soon as we walked in, had to wait in line but with staffing shortages is there a place you don't ? We got two pairs for a great price. The second pair we had to wait 2 weeks for. When we came to pick that second pair up ( we were notified via text ) we walked in no one greeted us, both women that were here continued to go on about their business as if no one was here We waited in line for maybe 30 minutes before anyone actually acknowledged us . I had my prescription filled there last week. The prescription was done flawlessly. This is in such stark contrast to trying to have the same prescription done, last year, at Eyecare by Design (which was a disaster). The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was their not having any petite size frames (which better suit my face) and which I had been wearing for about four years. I'd give this place a 3.5 star rating. Located inside the Eyemart Express location is Martinez Eye Associates; they provide optometric services and are the subject of this review. At the end of 2017, I needed new glasses so I dropped in for an exam and the possibility of lens made on site. The wait for the doctor was as long as would be expected (35 minutes); I was a walk-in and expected a wait. The doctor was quick and efficient. He managed to be personable even though I was his last patient before he left for vacation. My visit today was just as pleasant. Different doctor, but just as personable and entertaining throughout my exam and our discussions both before and after the exam. Additionally, he offered suggestions for my continued health and eyesight. My only real complaint was the wait. Even though I scheduled an appointment last week, it still took half an hour to call me back to take my measurements and an additional 20 minutes to get back to the doctor. This seems out of bounds when they were expecting me. Time management isn't this practice's strong suit, but if you have the time to spare, this is the place to come for same day glasses and contacts. read more

I just went to Eyemart Express, and had the worst experience. When I first started looking at frames, with no body else looking it took 5 minutes plus for someone to help me. When I asked about the 2 frame $76 special. Very rudely he showed me the frame selection of no more than 15 frames and then picked up a $39 pair from the special area and said but not these and put them back in the same incorrect spot with the expectation on customers move them all the time so these are "out of play" and walked away. SO RUDE! I will never shop there again and I hope you don't either. read more

My glasses broke 2 days ago Needed somewhere fast. Made appointment and was seen in a timely manner doctor was excellent very thorough. Went to the counter to start process for frames the girl I got was courteous and very patient. Waited about a hour as advertised for my glasses and wow the quality was there. Was so very impressed with the whole process. No gimmicks just great service and a great price!! I will definitely return the next time I need new glasses. Well done guys well done!! Every. Single. Time I go here they try to charge me for things that my insurance covers. Today, the girl didn't even check my insurance, even when I asked her if she wanted to see the card, she told me that USUALLY insurances don't cover contacts and frames. Mine does, but instead of asking them to do their jobs and actually LOOK at my insurance card, I just left and went up the road to Eyeglass World, where they immediately checked my insurance for what it covers. This place has the worst service ever!!!! They don't keep track of appointment times & allowed someone with a later appointment than me to be seen before me after i had been waiting for over an hour. I went to Eyemart today to get an repair done for my glasses, wrote my name on the waiting list, being that I was the next customer up, the young lady behind the counter didn't offer any help .. I figured she was busy even tho she wasn't helping any one else in the store, I waited another 20 mins after other customers came in then she went on to help them.. I walked back up to the counter and asked the older woman for help, she asked where was my name on the list, I showed her that it was 6 names down that were scratched out from being helped but I name wasn't called or scratched out .. long story short, I won't be spending my money in that store, unless they find better help .. read more

They are scamming and will rip you off. I was a customer for YEARS and they have had a staff turnover, including a new doctor. They will charge you for things your insurance covers on both the contacts and glasses "sides" of the office. Eyeglass prescriptions ARE good in GA for 2 years- NOT 1 like they will tell you. Contact prescriptions in GA are good for 1 year. If you upgrade to a contact exam, you automatically get an eyeglass exam which still last 2 years. You have a RIGHT to take the prescription you paid for to any optical place you want. Or if you want a copy to hang on your wall, you paid for it! But here, they will force you to do eyeglass examines yearly and they will refuse to give you your prescription (that you paid for) so you can go elsewhere IF YOU WANT. The staff on the contacts side even refused for me to buy glasses with my only 1 year old prescription. But I low key really wasn't trying to buy those Reynolds's Wrap prescratched up glasses. Anyway they said giving me a copy of my last year's prescription was "a liability". Even the doctor backed up the ladies in the front by saying every state is different and in FL eyeglass prescriptions are good for 4-7 years. I confirmed by going to 2 other optical places and I pulled up GA law. Of course if turned out that Eyemart was fos. After returning to eyemart and presenting them with my information, they DID give me a copy of my prescription. They are not exempt from following the STATE law. I was able to use it elsewhere without having to pay for a new exam. If you're not having vision problems, dont let them keep screwing with your eyes every year for glasses! I had to act like a whole Karen about this situation but they were not about to try me up like a dummy. I've been wearing glasses for 20 years. Girl bye read more

I went in on 3/3/18 to have an eye exam done and it was not correct. I went back to have another one done on 3/7/18 and it was still was not correct. I spoke with Valerie Farmer and she was kind enough to make a phone call and refund me my money for my glasses. I then walked over and talked with the optometrist on site and he told me that their policy does not allow them to refund money. I would not be going back and I will not be giving them a good rating because of this. I made too many trips over there not to have the exam's correct and not to be given my money back. I was only offered another eye exam. I did not want to sit for a third exam and it not be correct. read more

The technicians and merchandise are good, but watch out for the lady who "manages" the business end. The TV commercial said 2 pair for $59. I paid for four pairs and two eye exams for me and a friend and the bill came to more than $400. Beware or be robbed blind. read more
