i came to Sameera because it is very close to my school (CSUFullerton). i was pretty nervous for my first time but it was a very good experience. the first time for threading is free, so that's a plus! they do a very good job and i recommended this Salon for threading to anyone. the first time you go for eyebrow threading, they just thread and trim your brows. but when you go back, i feel they do a better job because they take time to massage your eyebrows after wards. it is only $6 so its a fairly good deal! i recommended this place to my roommates and their boyfriends and they all loved it as well. read more

I am a regular customer and i am really glad i got her to do my eyebrows. Sameera is one of the best hair-removing experiences amongst the handful I've been exposed to in Orange County, for both threading and waxing services. No wonder they have a "People Love Us On Yelp" badge, as well as a "#1 Salon in the OC" placard in their front entrance. I like going to Sameera for threading because I've been to other salons that have unknowingly criticized my lack of consistent eyebrow hair. "Did you pluck it?" they would ask me, every single time without avail. "No," I would answer, time and again. "I'm just (East) Asian," I would think to myself. The look in their eyes is obvious that they still think I went tweezer happy. "I got it from my momma, dammit!" However, this is not the case at Sameera; all the girls are friendly, welcoming, and professional. Last week, I went to Sameera's for my first Brazilian wax experience, and I was a walk-in at that! To my surprise, I got Sameera herself. She was incredibly approachable and managed to make the awkward and painful experience as smooth and pleasant as it could be. Through it all, she was making small talk so easily and invitingly, asking me about my work, my family and my weekend plans, nonchalant to the fact that she was about to rip off all hair with uncomfortably hot wax. It's like we were BFF! I think I held out for so long because of the preconceived notion of the sheer pain and horror stories associated with waxing. Awkward, painful, and poor results. Do not go here... The eye brow threading was not thorough: left me w tons of spare hairs and red bumps. The bikini wax was the most excruciating process that despite knowing she was missing plenty of stragglers it wasn't worth the pain to correct her. She had me lay on my stomach; which felt so awkward/uncomfortable. She also stayed in the room when I was to change... Normally you get some privacy! I read the reviews on Sameera on Yelp - no one mentioned her beautiful henna work! My friend came to Sameera for her bridal henna. She did a beautiful job and did what my friend requested (sometimes people don't listen to your requests). Sameera also did the henna for my friend's mendhi party. She was FABULOUS! She is so friendly and personable. She is a pro at what she does. There were about 20 girls at the party. She was so nice and did not make you feel rushed. I loved her work and personality so much, that I made an appointment for the next day to have my makeup done by her. She was so accommodating even though the receptionist told me to talk to Sameera because her schedule was fully booked on that day (Friday). I came in at 10 am to have my makeup done. My friend's wedding was not until 6:30pm. I'm from the Bay Area and I did not want to chance getting stuck in OC traffic. She did a beautiful job. The makeup lasted all day and into the late night! I only had to reapply my lipstick. I wanted my makeup dramatic since my friend's wedding was a Bollywood theme. My only complaint is that she is so far from me!!! HORRIBLE. ( I have been coming here off and on for about two years. I went in on a Thursday. I got there, mentioned I didn't have much time and asked how long the wait was. I was advised there was one person in front of me. So I waited. People came in, people left, people switched apts around and all kinds of fishy business. THIRTY FIVE minutes later I asked how much longer since I needed to go, the receptionist stated "oh there are only 2 people in front of you." She was very unapologetic and I was so disappointed. I went in to Sameera's today after a friend of mine recommended it and I checked the Yelp reviews. I scheduled a Brazilian with Kari (Carrie?) and got a free threading since it was my first time. Kari was VERY personable and professional, and quick too! She put me completely at ease from the moment we stepped into her room. She was very clean, very quick, and very thorough. I didn't have to pull any of my skin or stay in any uncomfortable positions, and the end results looked great. Not only that, but she recommended some post-wax treatments to calm down my skin based on my hair type and gave me some tips for next time as well. I will DEFINTELY be asking for her again. The threading was very quick and very painful, but the results were lovely. I'm a blonde white girl, but the results were fantastic. The lady cleaned up my shape and did a little snipping of the longer hairs, and I have not had such a clean brow line EVER, even after waxing! I use to come here whenever I was in the area since I live in LA. Worst experience ever. The lady doing my eyebrows today totally threaded one eyebrow shorter than the other and left one strand of hair. When I said it uneven she said she didn't touch the other end..uhh it's red around the area and only one strand of hair left come on. I'm pretty sure I came in w even eyebrows. This is the worst wax I've ever gotten. Mukul left a patch of hair amongst other strays and I had to ask for her to wax those parts again. Seriously??? The entire area is still far from smooth. I've been coming here since May of 2013 and I like it. Of the several times I've been there, they've done a good job and they are reasonably priced. A lady messed up my left brow once. I forgot her name but she was short and chubby with long black hair. I had to let it grow out, and simply avoid letting the same lady work on my brows again. They don't engage in conversation much. Based on all the fabulous recommendations for Sameera, I decided to get my first wax ever...She was awesome! Everything that has been said about her was right on target - she is clean, quick and puts you at ease. I was a bit nervous about the pain factor but it was less than I imagined. Talk about jacking up eyebrows!!! I was at driving back home from costco & i noticed a new eyebrow threading place opening up on the corner. It said $5 so i thought i'd give a shot. Man, do I regret it. The place is empty, furnishing wise. I had to wait 30 minutes because of 2 girls ahead of me. When you walk in, you have to enter your information on the computer, so that was neat. You'd type in your name and phone number along with the service you'd like to recieve. Anyway, as it's my turn to go up, I draw my eyebrows in, not the ghetto way, but I have to fill them in because they're so spread apart and thin. I have an awesome shape. I really just need her to clean it up a little and trim em up. How hard could that be? She whiped the makeup off of me and man, was she working on them longer than the regular place i go to. She finishes and shows me, she drew them in for me. I was like, WOW she went the extra mile and filled them in.... kinda crooked, but i guess it's fine. Girl, I get home at the end of the day and wash my face.... HOLY MOSES! what has she done?! my right is a complete arch, not to mention SUPER thin. while the other is thicker, with a point on top. It was such a dramatic difference, I couldnt walk out of my house without drawing my eyebrows in to make them better. I mean, the place was nice and she was nice, but work like that isn't gonna cut it. I first went to the harbor location when it opened up. . I thought it would be perfect place to get haircut since the first one I got was good and close to home. They had a promotion going at that time to buy five haircut for 25 which I bought. Biggest waste of my time. I had a bikini wax with Sameera about a month ago, I realize I also went once before to her old location. She is extremely quick. The first time I went to her she was running late by 30 min, but I still got a full leg and bikini in the remaining 30 min. Her quickness is an asset, but it is also a negative. The first time I went to her, the sides of my bikini line were visibly uneven, I think this is because she went so fast. I also think that some of my hair was broken off rather than pulled out from the root, because it was back within 3 days. She works in large sections, which is painful but effective. And she encourages you to take some breaks to recover. She has a technique and she expects you to do your part to help her out, put your hand here, move like this, pull there-- there will be no zoning out allowed! Be sure to take several minutes at the end to really check that no places were missed. I don't get the feeling that she is really looking that closely. She's never going to be my regular place to go for a leg wax. And I'm still looking for the best bikini wax. But she gets the job done and gets it done fast, just pay attention. read more

I never had an interest in signing up for Yelp! After coming here I had too!! My boyfriend bought 2 groupon's for this place! I called in about a month ago. I asked if I can get a fill instead of a mani, the receptionist said ofcourse because the fill is cheaper than the mani. (perfect) or so I thought!! I called today to make an appointment and they had one available at 2:20. I was there at 2:20 on the dot! The receptionist said the girl would be right back in a min because she ran to the Dollar Tree next door. I said that's fine. 10mins later they finally call her that I was there. 5 min after that I she showed up! So I was seen till 2:35! I notice EVERYTHING!!! and pay attention to everything! And I am shocked that this place has good reviews! As Jenny is working on my pedicure I observe the girls working there. Their service is AWFUL!!! And don't understand why customers wait as long as they do! Their "lobby" was FULL and the girls working there don't know how to give a great customer service. They were doing each others eye brows while customers wait on them. They used their cell phones in front of customers. One of the girls cousin from Pennsylvania (I think) called and so she said she would call from her cell.. And she did.. Again, as the lobby was packed! Also, they were waxing eachother, going to the store, walking outside?!?! Who does this when they have a lot of customers waiting? Etc.. So back to me, my pedi & fill gets done and the girl says $18!!!! I asked why and she couldn't rationalize why she was charging me $18 on top of my groupon?!?! So I just payed it while being very mad! So then I had to do my brows, one of the girls was at the counter so the receptionist asked if she was open, she said no because she had to talk to another girl and so she stood there texting! I next waited for about 10mins for someone to do my brows. After all I think I payed more for using the groupon! I will never ever come back here and only did cuz of the groupon. I love the customer service and the girls at Mantra Brow in Fullerton!! Mantra Brow gives u a card and they stamp it every time your there and after a certain amount you get a free service =) read more
