I've been going here for the past year or so I liked the service very nice I'd always get this lady I don't know her name but she'd do my eyebrows nice and I was satisfied with the work but on Saturday I went since my eyebrows have grown quite a lot and wanted a cleanup so I go in and there's 2 lady's one I've seen and another I've never seen and they ask if I want to do eyebrows and they tell me where to sit and she gets to doing my eyebrows she starts on my right then goes to my left I feel a large portion of hair pulled out my first thought is oh it must have grown out a lot cause I have semi thick arched brows and it's been about a month or so since I got my eyebrows done and I check in the mirror after but my eyes weren't adjusting after having to put my hands over my eyes and she was rushing I payed but I didn't leave a tip because it felt so rushed and she was rough as I get to the car I look at my eyebrows better and OMG I thought my eyes were deceiving me no they weren't one eyebrow what thicker than the other one had an arch while the other was more rounded and one looked higher than the other I started to cry she did me so bad, I know I could've gone back but what's the point for her to mess up my eyebrows more and make them more thin yea no thanks , and I cried all the way home very sad defeated because eyebrows shape your face and I tried to see if I can fix it at home but I felt defeated however I did go to this place in Atwater where the lady told me that they messed me up badly ( I knew that ) and she told me it'll take a while to get to my shape again and she explained to me everything where they went wrong and how she'll be able to get it looking better with time and she fixed it got it similiar to each other . read more

I have been going here for several years, and a couple of weeks ago I went in about 3:45pm and two of the ladies were sitting in the back area eating, and they asked if I could come back in 15min. I told them no, I was on my way home and I asked if no one could help me, and they just looked at me, and said no. Made me a little upset, first off it was almost 4pm, if you're going take lunch or whatever, close for lunch, don't just be sitting there eating and be super rude and not help your customers. Do not go here. Whoa, did the lady at this shop mess up my brows! I thought I'd save myself some time and visit this shop instead of my regular brow person; I made a very big mistake. I'm lucky in that I have thick, naturally arched brows. I asked the lady for a just a clean up, and specifically said, "do not reshape, please." She was very rough, and it hurt much more than usual (first clue). She also never stopped talking to her coworker throughout my entire threading (second clue). Then, she didn't offer any aloe gel afterwards even though I asked; she acted like she didn't hear and it was awkward (especially since the aloe gel was sitting at the station). She completely threaded off my arch and gave me some weird, thin straight-brow look. It literally makes me face look weird because I've never tried to mess with my brows much. I REALLY dislike it. If this look is your thing, more power to you. But I definitely didn't ask for this look, and now I get to go through the holidays drawing my eyebrows on. Sigh. I tried out this place because my friend recommend me to try threading and this location was the most convenient for me. When I arrived there was only one lady working on a customer. When she was done, she screamed NEXT. Rude much?? She had such a heavy hand! She even manage to cut my hair(I didn't noticed it til I got home) when she slip.. She didn't listen to what I wanted. I came in today a little before closing and as soon as I walked in one of the employees yelled out,"No! We're closed." I said there's at least 15 minutes left before 9 o'clock can you please just do my eyebrows? She just kept shaking her head no. Luckily Gita was working and she told me to have a seat. I usually stop by after class before the mall closes. This last time I went, it was on a Monday at 5:30 pm. There was no wait time. The lady who was watching the shop was on her phone when she greeted me-okay. Then she stayed on the phone WHILE SHE DID MY EYEBROWS. It was rude. On top of that, she did not wash her hands after eating because her hands had a strong food stench to them. GROSS. If I could give this place zero stars I would. My mom got her eyebrows and face done here, and when she was finished, her eyebrows were completely messed up. Before coming here she was growing them out so they were thick, and to be honest they actually didn't look bad by my standards. After getting them done here one looked like a scarecrows eyebrows, all triangular and pointy, and one was almost untouched, and definitely thicker than the other one with almost no arch at all. My mom informed the woman that was doing them and she argued with her saying the shape of them was "perfect." Perfect.....? One heavily arched and pointy, and one rounded with almost no arch? I went here today for the first time to get my eyebrows cleaned up. When I first walked in there was one lady busy doing someone's eyebrows and a girl at the counter on her phone. I approached her and ask if I needed to sign in (there were people sitting down waiting) and she just said, "no sit in the chair". Then she continued to go back on her phone. She was on her phone for a while then finally came to me and did my eyebrows. She didn't sanitize her hands. She rushed through the whole process and was rude. I went to this location to get my eyebrows done on 6/23/15 at 8:00pm and the girl that was working was extremely rude and did not take anything I requested into consideration. I asked her to make sure she that my eyebrows were the same and not to pull the hair to fast. Well she was in a rush and my eyebrows look horrible and once I left there above my eyebrows were so irritated and red and now I have broken out so bad above my eyebrows since it appears she went against the hair and to quick . Now my face and eyebrows look horrible. I also would like to know if she was licensed and trained to do eyebrows? I feel as if you are trained properly you could see that you are leaving someone extremely red and uneven eyebrows. I would not recommend this location and would like my money refunded. read more

If I could give this business less than one star , than I would . I feel like people should know what they are getting themselves into before they visit this business , and that's why I felt the need to share my experience . Upon hearing about eyebrow art , I was really excited because I could get my eyebrows waxed on my lunch break because I work in the same area . So today I decided to try out Eyebrow Art . I saw a young lady at the door passing out flyer's , and I asked her if she was available. It seemed like there was a bit of an attitude when I stepped in the store , however I ignored it because I thought maybe she was having a bad day . Anyways , as she reluctantly proceeded to help me , she started to thread my eyebrows . Since she didn't ask me , I told her specifically what I wanted. I told her that I wanted my eyebrows cleaned up , and that I wanted a slight arch . She said "OK" and proceeded to remove the hair from my face . As stated before , she seemed a bit agitated , and it seemed like she was angrily threading my eyebrows . I have gotten my eyebrows threaded several times , and I don't remember it hurting as much as it did this time , but i dismissed it because I thought I was just being sensitive . Once she finished she waved a mirror in my face , and rushed me to pay because she had a line forming . I didn't get a chance to look so once I stepped outside I pulled out my phone and looked at the front facing camera so I could see exactly how they came out . To my horror and surprise , my eyebrows were barley there . I saw that several people were inside her store , so I decided to leave and come back . I understand that their business is new , so I didn't want to cause a scene in front of her customers . Once I left , I went into the mall bathroom to take a good look at my eyebrows , when I saw them in the mirror I couldn't help but feel the tears starting to well up in my eyes . I frantically looked in my purse for some eyeliner , something to help my eyebrows look halfway normal . All that was left on my face was two pathetic strips of hair where my eyebrows used to be . When I finished crying , I walked around the mall thinking of the most polite way to ask for a refund . I never ask for refunds so doing so was extremely difficult for me . Once I got to the store I waited patiently for ten minutes until she finished with her client . Once she was finished I pulled her aside and explained to her that I was unhappy with the way my eyebrows turned out and that I just wanted a refund of my $12. To my surprise the woman I was speaking to had a smirk on her face . All she said to me was " I have been doing this for 10 years , I know what I'm doing " . I told her would you rather me leave here unhappy and share my experience with others, or just give me a refund , and all she said was " You can tell who you want , sorry we don't do refunds here " . With her permission to tell who I want , I am sharing my experience with anyone and everyone who is thinking of getting their eyebrows threaded there . I have never been treated with that kind of rude customer service in my entire life . I don't want anyone to go through what I did, so I warn you , Don't go here , and if you do be very careful what you ask for . I have to say, this has been the worse experience of my life in getting my eyebrows done in 25 years of my life. I've been going to Indian threading salons for the past 8-10 years and this is the worst experience ever. You can tell the the lady was very apathetic. But the lady, Sonia, who was working has got to be the most inexperienced rude person EVER. It she was definitely in a hurry and was not willing to listen to what I wanted my eyebrows to look like. It's now a complete disaster and it will take months to repair. She literally was talking back to me when I was trying my best to explain what I wanted. I have been getting my eyebrows threaded here since they opened. They do such a great job. I get so many compliments on my eyebrows. I always let them know I dont like my eyebrows too thin and they do a great job. I see many reviews saying theirs came out uneven, I have only had this happen once. When they are done threading they ask you to sit up and look at them. I caught it right away, as did the woman, she fixed it and everything looked great. Make sure to look at them after while still in the chair to avoid that. I go every two months and they always look good. read more

I went with a friend this afternoon and there was only one lady working so we had to wait. There's only two seats for waiting customers to sit in, so we had to stand around the shop and pretend to browse the jewelry section as the two seats were taken by a customer's children. My friend went first, and he looked like he was in pain. I've gotten mine threaded before so I wasn't too put off by his suffering facial expressions. Right before she started to work on me, I told her I don't them like them thin, and I wanted her to add an arch. I hadn't done anything to my brows in a month, so it was like she had virgin brows to work with and reshape. Though it is painful, I would say it hurts less than waxing. There's not the same lingering, stinging sensation and the pain goes away just as fast as you feel it. It also takes less time than waxing. After saying she was done and opening my eyes, I looked in the mirror. She did give them a nice shape, but it wasn't what I asked for. Also, I didn't like that she cut the top of my brow line with scissors to make the hairs shorter, making my brows look thin the way I had asked her not to do. Alas, like I said, the shape is nice but wasn't what I asked for as I feel like it doesn't compliment my face the way eyebrows should. I feel like she just gave me a generic shape, or merely cleaned them up. There's not too much shape to them. If you do go here, maybe taking a picture in of what of you want would be helpful. If by some act of god I do go there again, I would tell her I DON'T want my eyebrows shaped like hers, as I realized she had just shaped mine the way hers were. One positive thing about them is that they do give you a marked card so you'll get the 10th threading free, if you do choose to go there multiple times. Not bad for Merced's first brow threading shop, but it'd be nice to have my opinion taken into consideration. Oh, and it's $12 for one threading, whereas I used to pay $10 in San Jose. They do have a special though where you pay $65 for 3 months and you can go in as many times as you want. read more

They don't wash their hands between clients and working the register (stateboard violation) which has made my face breakout after. I just got my whole face threaded here. I have gone to many different threading places but here both ladies that worked on my face did such a good job at not making it hurt so bad. Some places I have been have no mercy. She was really gentle with my face and gave me breaks throughout the process. She also gave me really helpful tips about what creams and etc I should use after having my whole face threaded. Also I am ridiculously picky about my eyebrows and I gave her a ton of directions before I let her touch them and she did a great job of listening. Most people don't listen and do whatever they please with your eyebrows. I am really pleased about my experience here. I was really nervous to go after reading the other reviews from here but I'd go back any day. read more

I had a bad experience at this store with a very rude employee but I contacted and complained to the owner and he was very understanding and apologetic. I will likely not go back because I am a little rattled and embarrassed by the experience and rather not see the employee that was rude to me, but I appreciate the owner taking his time to respond to an email and make a phone call to me and rectify the actions of the employee. read more
