Because I had an unpleasant beginning to my overall appointment experience but a really great sugaring service. Starting from the beginning; I usually go to a waxing service but wanted to try something different and this place is super close. Looking at their website I saw the "firstservicefree" promotion and thought why not! I scheduled my appointment for the Winter Springs location and used the promo code they provided on the website and it brought my total down to $0 (I still tipped cash). SWEET! This was a week ago. This morning I received a call (a little over an hour before my appointment) that they would not honor the promotion because their store no longer participates. That's kind of frustrating. So I spoke to the manager and explained that there was no notation that the promotion was only at participating locations and that the promo code worked when booking the appointment. However, they resolved the issue and I proceeded with my appointment. Note: during this week period I did try contacting the store on Sunday to modify the appointment and move it up one day. No one answered the phone (I called twice). The sugaring experience with Meredith was great. She was very sweet and explained everything in detail. She was very meticulous and clean and I noticed that new gloves were being used often. Not sure if the process is less painful than waxing (I think in certain spots it may have been more uncomfortable) but I left feeling like a smooth mermaid. Everything was clean and the vibe is welcoming. Would I recommend? Not sure and I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I would maybe give this place a second try based on Meredith and the fantastic job she did but the customer service may make me feel otherwise.

That being said, the service here can be hit or miss. I never manage to keep track of technician's names that I particularly like--or when I do, they're gone after a few appointments. I've never been upset about the finished product, but pedis are a little more low stakes than manicures. I have had the occasional "rough" technician, where the relaxation is disturbed by occasional pain. And you only need to be sliced open by the sharp edge of a nail file once before you're on high alert to prevent it ever happening again. I just wish I could count on pure relaxation when coming here. On my last visit, I'm sad to say my chair was straight up dirty. Both side tables on the chair and their cup holders had not been cleaned in obviously quite some time. I know this because it looked like the inside of our car when a detailing is long overdue! There was evidence of multiple spills which had gotten sticky and had started collecting dust and grime. I'm no clean freak but it's such an easy thing to restore to sparkling! A cloth dipped in hot water with a tiny bit of sanitizing/cleaning agent, zero elbow grease, and the chair would have looked brand new. And while I have no doubt they sanitize their tools, it makes you wonder what else they're letting slide. My daughter got an acrylic set on my last visit as well. The tech did a great job with my teen's polish design, which was of course very specific, but the work on the acrylics was just...bad. The fingernails were molded upwards at an angle like her nails were peeling backwards at the base. I didn't say anything because I didn't see the finished product until the end, but I also didn't want my teen thinking the nails she just got for her event were "bad." I will be coming back here, but this last visit was the first in a long time and upon re-entering I realized my less frequent pedis were because the place just isn't as relaxing as it once was. He did such a great job and asked to assure me of the service because to be honest... I don't speak up when I'm uncomfortable and unhappy. Since day one I've gotten service I have left happy every time. I also did wax brows and was at ease with the young lady that did my brows($12). I recommend this establishment.
