In its place i wanted to install track light above the railing to make it easy to switch out the lights. The second and third was to install an outdoor flood light and from there an outdoor weatherized outlet. Contacted Sparky and Jerry responded quickly. I provided pictures and such and when I was ready we did a site walk. He shared options of what we can do as well shared any issues. Quoted me at the end of the day and schedule the job a few days later. The day of, Sparky and Sons (total 3 of them) came in and put together a safe scaffold to remove both light fixtures and smoke detector and covered with a blank plate. Then installed the track lighted to my direction. on the outside, flood light, outdoor weather switch, and outdoor weather outlet was installed to my direction by tapping into an existing outlet in the kitchen and running it outside. They did a great job and was very professional as Jerry was instructing his son's ensuring everything was visually pleasing. One thing i truly respected was the clean up as electricians are known to leave "poop" (wire ends) all over the place. Jerry ensured this was cleaned up and threw away all trash leaving it as good or better than when they started. They did a great job, price was very reasonable, and the end result i am very happy with.

They explained every step of the way and any time they ran into any difficulties from the previous installers they informed me of them and already had multiple solutions. They didn't rush through the job at all and repaired things around the window on their own so that the rest of the area around the window looked just as new as the windows. Nick arrived exactly at the appointed time, took a quick look (and listen) at my door and diagnosed the problem in a minute or two. Then, since the problem was a seal on the door, asked me if I simply wanted him to remove the seal to stop the sound, and gave me the pros and cons of doing so. I said yes and he removed the seal and put things back together. He gave me some tips on what to use to lubricate the door, as well as--if I ever wanted to replace the door--what I should look for and how to save money. Nick was knowledgeable, personable and effective in solving my problem. I highly recommend Oahu Windows and Doors.

After speaking to at least 8-10+ different…read morecontractors and/or handyman (who claimed to be contractors but had no license or proof to show), let's just say that the hunt to find someone trustworthy, timely and within our budget was like finding a golden needle in a haystack! Firstly, SL Construction was reasonably priced compared to others who were looking to up charge us more than double. I'm not a contractor so I can't specifically tell if the materials were vastly different to justify the difference in price etc, but what I appreciated was SL's timeliness in getting back to us asap, their really thorough follow up via email and text, and that they were legit. I also changed the scope of what exactly I wanted to do several times (adding projects, changing materials) and they were patient and more than accommodating each time. We were also able to verify all their licenses, insurance and all the stuff a contractor should have with the DCCA. Our scope of work was a few items, including: 1) repairing a rotted wood lanai, fully waterproofing, replacing the tile, and busted wood posts, and rotted wood under tile. 2) adding custom railings to 2 outdoor lanais that needed to be fitted exactly to existing metalwork. 3) completely transforming a 90s bathroom (and I changed the scope of work a few times ) 4) tiling another bathroom so it didn't give 90s ick vibes Through the process, I was able to pick my materials and work closely with them via text, email and a shared Google excel tracker as my working document so I didn't loose my mind with all the small but important details. They were incredibly easy to work with in choosing my materials from Amazon, Lowes, Home Depot and Golden Cabinets and picked all the items up. While the crew is heavily Chinese speaking only, working with their project manager, Maggie, is a dream! I will admit that sometimes the crew didn't exactly understand me, but it was super small stuff like moving a cabinet over a few inches, re-installing a faucet so the knobs were the correct way, etc. Anything that I had an issue with was easily remedied by Maggie, whom I mostly communicated with via text. In addition, I've had several "oh s*it!!" moments come up with other things in our aging home (nothing they did, but other things I've since found) and Maggie has been so quick and helpful to send out her team or try to find solutions that aren't gonna break the bank. I really appreciate their steadfast customer service and making you feel like you aren't just a number or an invoice. Further, the team kept our house immaculate - the floor was covered each day, and nothing was left a mess or left evidence that a construction team had been there. Cannot recommend enough!!!! 10+ stars!!!! Bravo! Photos are added below but not in order. You'll get the jist however!
