Shoutout to our local community heroes here at Briggs Chaney Exxon!!! Convenient location and well functional pumps. The location is off of I-29 so we can get a fuel up before taking a trip out of town. It's also located by the shopping center so you can get your errands done at the same place. McDonald's and Little Caesar for a quick bite in case you need anything besides the snacks in the gas station. The customers were friendly and the service area is maintained well enough. Even on a dreary day, knowing that I can have quality gas stations in my trip area makes things a lot better! Please do not bring your car here if you need your car serviced or fixed. The car mechanic is not a good person. I was referred to this mechanic by a friend from my church. This mechanic looks on YouTube to fix your car if he does not know how to fix your car problem. Instead of telling you he does not know how to fix your problem he sends you out to buy a part and then will not install the part. He is not a trust worthy person. He made me wait 3 weeks to fix my car and would not even give me an appt. to fix it claiming he had other customers more worthy. He should just say in the beginning that he will not fix or install a part that takes less than half an hour instead of making you call every week and turning you down with excuses of having too many work. The prices for gasoline here are pretty steep, especially for premium fuel, though smartly so because it is across the street from dozens of dealerships. There are three points of entry, and often there are lines and lines of cars approaching from all directions that it is stressful to enter and exit. read more

SCAMMERS! do not ever come to this shop for any work on your car especially for a state inspection. We were in need of a state inspection in February and they said we needed new rear brake rotors which cost 270. After 3 months, we had to get new rear brake rotors again at a different location. When we went back to Briggs Chaney Exxon to complain and ask for an explanation about whether they changed our brake rotors, Jimmy and his boss started cursing and calling my brother and I crazy. Our complaint was based on the word of another Mechanic who said our brake rotors did not look like they were 3 months old, not just my personal opinion. read more

Incredibly rude owner. I won't be going back. I recommend passing this place up and going somewhere else. I lost my debit card there and called asking if they could check. I was immediately met with extreme rudeness from the owner. I hung up as it was over the top, but later called back and was like "look can you please just check" as I'm going out of town tomorrow and there aren't chase banks in MD to replace it. He immediately started cussing me out and doing this whole "LISTEN LADY" bit and speaking down to me. I have never had an owner of a business be so rude to me ever. Unreal. read more

So I had to take my car to get one strut replaced. Understand, I've already replaced 3 of the 4 and have already procured the Monroe QuickStruts (which are fantastic parts) to replace the final corner. The problem is that the one single bolt that holds the rear strut in place on the lower control arm is locked up. The car goes in, and Bob, one of the two brothers who owns the place, quotes 2 hours of labor for replacing the part, for a total charge of $170. Keep in mind, the other brother, Bruce, is quite honest and he's never overcharged for services. Now understand something, because Quickstruts are complete parts with no spring work needed, this part replacement takes at most 30 minutes to complete. Two @#$%ing hours is downright insane. What's even more insulting is that the car goes up on the lift at 9:30 and comes down, fully repaired, at 10:27. LESS THAN ONE HOUR. I don't know how Bob's watch works, but he decided that, because it didn't take his full estimated time, he'd charge me 1.7 hours, for a total of $151. If you're of the mindset that 57 minutes worth of labor warrants a charge of 1.7 hours of labor, then by all means, have at it. Otherwise, stay far away from this DIS-service center. I hope this review was worth the extra 60 bucks you charged me, Bob. read more

Bottom-line: Please do NOT go here under any circumstances. This location should be shut down for scamming and lying to customers. I went in for a state inspection and my car failed. I immediately knew that something was wrong when the mechanic notified me that my brakes were broken, as I had just gotten my brakes replaced at the Ford dealership a month prior. He then went on to list multiple other false claims about my car and said it would be $400 to fix. I could tell that this man was lying. Today, I just had my state inspection done at another auto shop and the results came back positive. This place is untrustworthy and out for your money. Shady shady shady. That's the nicest thing I can say about these guys. I brought my car here several times, but apparently they could care less about customer loyalty. This time they gave me a really hard time about picking me up this afternoon to collect my car (after they dropped me off at work a mile away this morning), after they had promised it this morning when I dropped my car off. They've done this for me every time in the past, so I don't know what the big deal was today. Before that today, they tried to charge me an obscene amount for a 60K mile service (nearly $500? really???). Then they attempted to convince me they had to replace a belt that they replaced 6K miles ago (one that lasts 60K miles), as well as charge me $85 in just labor to replace a tire lug nut. You're really going to charge me $85 in labor for the lug nut (not including the cost of the part) when I'm already paying for the tire rotation? You can't roll the labor of those two tasks together for a repeat customer who's spent hundreds here several times in the past? Well, consider me a customer no longer. read more

I went to put gas there and the gas pump didn't stop automatically as usual. The gas overflow and normally my car to full the tank takes 30ish and since the tank overflow they changer 40 dollars . Went inside to try to get refund and the owner just said whenever you leave I'll will take a look of and say that there is people that don't know how to put gas on. BS I BEEN DRIVING FOR 10 years. So don't tell me I don't know how to put gas your gas pump is the one that needs to get fixed. After all this man "THE OWNER_" he's a rude man and doesn't give a shit about customers. Can I give a negative review like a minus Star? Took my car into this place to get an inspection done. They failed my inspection and I was told I needed to pay $800 dollars to get a rack and pinion fixed, two bulbs and a lug nut. I did not feel like he was being honest so I took my car to another mechanic, he did not find anything wrong with it. Took it to another Exxon inspection station and it passed. I went back to this location showed him the passed inspection and the fact that they did not find the rack issues, he refused to give me a refund. I contacted the Maryland State Trooper in charge of that station, the Better Business Alliance and WUSA. If you have money to burn or throw away go to this place, they will gladly screw you out of it. read more
