Extreme Training Equipment manufacturers and directly sells its fitness equipment to the public. They appear to be the real-deal when it comes to all things CrossFit. They are located in Cudahy which I did not realize was even a city in LA until I visited. It's located off the 710 and the 5 fwy. Take the Firestone exit off the 710 fwy and turn Rt on Atlantic Ave. They don't have a parking lot so you'll have to park across the street from the business. I came from across town to buy a manilla climbing rope with a metal end clamp for easy hanging. I've been wanting to buy a thick rope that my kids could climb for some time. Other than the internet, there doesn't seem to be anywhere else nearby that sells them. Their prices are pretty much equivalent to online sites except you get to avoid the cost of shipping. They have some pretty cool CrossFit equipment that looks as sturdy as they come. When I get more space I'm definitely going to have to start building my home gym read more

Worst customer service ever! They can't fill orders but they're still taking customers money and have friends and family answering phone call with no customer service experience. If they're taking all that money and not filling orders then they should invest in some experienced customers representative. I had a person on the phone tell me that they know they can't fill orders and he doesn't know why they're still taking more in. I ordered around January and I had a 1 month wait. 3 months later and still nothing but online they're taking in more and more orders . I understand that with the whole Covid thing going on that orders can be delayed. I've placed so many other orders with other companies and recieved my product already and it's coming from china. They took my money and months later still no product. Instead of communicating with clients and making sure they're happy all they will tell you is if you don't like it get a refund!. I couldn't believe that . I had placed a order for $3000 worth of equipment. I wouldn't buy from this place if I were you. During this COVID pandemic, lots of fitness/gym supplies are falling through on customer service and not being honest about how long their inventory will come in. I've had huge headaches with other companies with not responding/not being honest on how long orders will be processed. ETE on the otherhand was AMAZING. The entire experience from ordering to pick up was a breeze. I got some squat stands that were "out of stock" on the website but I called and placed a payment for pre-order and was able to get it next shipping day. Also was able to get a nice olympic bar as well that they had in stock. Shout out to Louis for helping me out. These guys are professional, responsive, and friendly. I cannot recommend this place enough and I will come back. They also give discounts as well if you qualify which helps a bunch! read more

Got my dumbbells at a really good price given the covid situation. The website don't lie. When they tell you 8 to 10 weeks.. it's really just that. So don't bother calling until the 9th well or something. They send you a confirmation email after purchase. They'll send you another when most of your order is ready for pickup. It takes a while to ship to the port and from the port to their warehouse. But they got the timing pretty much down. When you get there, google maps, will show you the front door. The front door is locked and tells you to go around back to the roll up door. Parking lot is small and shared with many other companies but you'll be in and out. They'll help roll the product on a flat and load into your car. Super nice people in person, over phone, and emails. Products are great quality. read more

Once the gym was no longer an option I had to think about what i wanted my workouts to consist of. I realized I could do my usual workout and some crossfit type excercises with very little equipment to start. I bought three kettle bells and two wallballs. They're standard but so nice to have my own new, clean equipment. But what I consider the find of the decade: The Air Go 300. It's the equivalent of a gym 'assault bike'. Its tough as nails no nonsense. But, at less than a grand, this bike was probably a grand less than a used gym bike. So, the test: I've had steppers and the like that were low cost and rickety and also long forgotten, heaped in the trash. The Air Go is SOLID. I was mentally preparing myself that it might not be the bike i was looking for when I tried it out. But, I was beyond happy with it. There is no swaying back and forth or annoying squeaks it's just a super solid riding experience. The panel is easy to use and see and there is just nothing I can say about it that's bad or a compromise. I love it, use it every day and will continue to do so. As far as the service, it's excellent. Professional, kind and honest, you feel like you want to load up on everything but at that time I had to limit myself to these few things. But now since the cost of my ETE equipment has been long paid-off due to not paying gym fees, I'm thinking in terms of really going for the home gym and buying a half or full rack and all the accessories that go with it. It's a big step but but I honestly can't see going back to the gym any time soon, if ever. And of course I'll go back to ETE! Thank you! Mike read more

I love coming back to this place. Been there a few times and so far have been very satisfied with their customer service and the quality of the equipment. Among the items that i have picked up from them are bumper plates (super heavy duty!) battle rope, plyo boxes, barbell squat pad. I also picked up five rubber floor mats. Those things are awesome and they were super cheap during the sale they had recently. Their staff is knowledgeable and they are more than willing to answer any questions you might have about the equipment. They also hooked me up with a little extra discount! I must say that their service is most impressive because you are not left to figure things out on your own. They also do custom builds for racks and other setups. I bought a air bike for 430 $ from here and a key bolt that connects the petal to the tire was too short to connect. So I had to go to Home Depot and get a longer bolt, and cut the bolt to a specific size. so I spent 30 dollars extra to get the bike to work, and the store manager offered me a 7 dollar discount on 70$ dumbbells as a repayment. The customer service was poor, and the manager had the nerve to say that it wasn't the companies fault that the equipment had a defect. Surely, they shouldn't be defective poor quality equipment in the they're store, and if it is defective it is there fault. read more

I love this place. I went for just Olympic plates but ended up leaving with ropes, handles, dumbbells, dumbbell clips, a mat and my Olympic plates. They have so much quality equipment. The service was great too. I had so many dumb questions but they were so patient, nice and helpful. I enjoyed my experience so much that I saved up enough money to eventually go back and buy a Rower Machine. This thing is amazing!! I had so many questions about the rowers and they explained everything so easily. They even delivered it which was a lifesaver because there's no way it would have fit in my crappy small car. My boyfriend & I came to this location to pick up a flat bench & heavy duty squat racks. We were going to order them online but the website said that this location had them available for pick up, so we called the 888 number for a custom quote. The man we spoke to told us to go to the location (which is about 30 mi from our house) to pay in the store & we could walk out the door with them. We get to the location & wait about 15-20 min before we are approached & asked what we were looking for. We explained the phone call & were told by a lady that seemed extremely disorganized that someone was going "next door" to pick up the bench. We asked about the racks (we walked around the entire facility & didn't see them anywhere) & the lady brought us to racks that weren't the ones we were asking for or talking about originally. We waited another 20 min or so (she said she could look "next door" for the racks) before we decided to just leave This place is unorganized & they don't know the meaning of "customer service". My girlfriend and I are building our garage into a gym. This place only had one persons helping out customers who came in. Don't buy their iron plates. Terrible quality and even worse customer service. I bought a pair of 45 plates. I waited 10 weeks to get them. Finally picked them up from their warehouse in commerce. Brought them home. The paint job is awful but who cares they're just plates. I Put them on for bench and almost tip the bar side ways. Turns out one plate was 10lbs heavier than the other. I emailed them and they said "no problem bring them back to swap them out.". I drive from OC to LA to swap them. When I get there the receptionist tells me to u load them. No help, had to do it myself. Then I bring them to her and she nonchalantly told me they are out of stock. I can either wait or get a refund. Are u joking. Why tell me to drive 40 miles and unload if you don't have them in stock? So I spoke to the owner on the phone and he can't do anything but get them shipped from Sacramento. He refuses to make any other concessions for my wasted time and effort. It's either wait or get my money back. He obviously doesn't care that drove from OC for nothing and going home empty handed. In the end I had to buy at full price some display bumper plates. A discount for their bad would be the right thing to do. Buyer beware, they just don't give a damn. He had purchased some stuff from there and told me to check it out since I've been trying to build up my home gym. I bought some weights and wall balls from them a few months back and had great customer service from Louie. The first time I went in, the owner Bert was there and was more than willing to answer any questions, but I already knew what I was there to buy. I bought some equipment at the fountain valley location. Solid inventory which was nice. My issue is with their price match advertisement. I found rings and a pull up bar at Rogue for cheaper. They include shipping in the price so they didn't honor the price. They also state also only of equal quality. The salesman didn't have any specs just said just look. I took the equipment I believe it's a solid investment. I believe the advertisement is misleading and it's puffery with no intention to honor it with customers. read more
