It's Chicken Schnitzel and it's in a sandwich, but it's pretty good albeit it a bit thin. Served simply with mayo and cheese, it still hits the spot. I suppose lettuce or tomato would take away from the schnitzel! My husband got the European Donair which he was pleasantly surprised by the sauce, the pickled cabbage (or was it onions...) and the roast beef. It was totally different than a normal donair you'd find at a typical Donair shop. We both added on the soup of the day which was delicious. It's no frills but not hole in the wall by any means. Go up and order at the bar and wait for your order to be delivered to your table. There's seating in the corner with a decent amount of chairs. Very modern inside. This is a market/butcher/deli restaurant. You can browse some neat European goods for taking home as well.

I finally made my way to this tiny, unassuming bakery, beside a 7-11, and was mesmerized by all the baked goods behind the counter and on the shelves. I was tempted to buy one of everything as you can just tell the goodies are freshly made and will be delicious! I went ahead and ordered the "Nonna's Special," which includes prosciutto crudo, calabrese salami, fresh mozzarella, tomato, pickled red onion, fig jam, arugula, EVOO, and balsamic vinegar. When the nice lady handed me my sandwich I was surprised at how huge it was and loved the fact it came warmed. (I love a hot sandwich!). When I got in the car and looked inside the sandwich bag, I saw the most glorious Italian-style sandwich I've ever seen. This seriously rivaled some of the greats I've had in my travels. And of course, as soon as I took a bite, it was over. Whatever plans I had went on hold as I savoured every bite of that delicious, monster sandwich (which I had to eat out of my car, as it's a dripper! But worth every drop!) The bun was super soft and not too thick, the meat was stacked and well spiced, the mozzarella, veggies, and condiments were perfectly matched for a very well-balanced and flavour-packed sandwich. I enjoyed it so much, I went back the next day and had it again! As much as I thought about gate keeping this little gem, I want them to succeed and give this place the kudos they deserve. It's only Steph working here so drinks and baked goods come out instantly but the sandwiches or pizzas might take 5-7 minutes as they go through the oven.
