I'd certainly recommend them to anyone looking to remodel their home. I'm satisfied with the price we paid. We received several quotes and as anyone should tell you, cheaper is not always better. From the first meeting, he was on time, focused, and genuinely cared about finding the best solution for us. What really impressed us was that he never acted like a salesperson -- no pressure, no upselling, just honest advice and real expertise. He did the work himself with the help of his team, but he was clearly the one leading and making sure every detail was done right. We had work done in all rooms including the addition of an Arizona Room , but for us it was a sewing room. Did it matter what the room was for? Yes in this instance it did, because I needed an excessive amount of light. They did a magnificent job, you couldn't even tell that the room was added on. They built the gazebo we had and they added a small putting green for the beginner golfers in us. They added new closet doors on our new closets. They did various electrical work in the house. It was a non-trivially complicated project: a 2-story 4000 sq ft house with a large attached pergola, stucco repair, stuccoed perimeter wall and a very picky HOA. Alex and John navigated the whole project very professionally from start to finish. They had already painted one house in the neighborhood and did a great job there. I called several of their reference and they got great reviews from the references they gave. I was impressed with their integrity both in terms of their approach to quality work, how they handled pricing (they are dong several houses within the neighborhood) and how they managed to stay fair with everyone while still accommodating people's specific requests. They communicate well and are responsive. They got to the job quickly and finished it quickly, there was no dragging out of the project any more than was required (they actually did a great job of working around the inclement weather that showed up in the middle of the job). My only knock would be that sometimes the workers didn't quite get all of the instructions passed to the owners, but that actually brings me to the best part. And i ahve to say here that I have used many contractors before, and on this item they are the best I've ever experienced. When they are done and ask you to review and provide a correction/punch list, I've never seen a contractor approach it as positively and effectively as they did. There was never one moment of push back or debate.. they just went through and addressed every single thing on the list, and they did it right on the spot. They stayed at it until we were satisfied, and although we are not unreasonable, we are not the easiest customer to please. I will say if you're looking for the lowest price and don't care about anything else, they may not be the best fit for you, and I think they'd probably agree. However, if you are looking for a high-quality job that is done right, to your satisfaction at a reasonable, fair price, I'd highly recommend them as I found their work to be an excellent value. (I'm actually having them paint our rental house next) TIP: If you check them out you'll find that their current ROC licence is relatively new, do not take that as a negative. Ask either John or Alex about that and they will happily tell you the background here. It checked out and it's actually a positive, but too long of a story to include in this review.

I had a 41 year-old wooden deck (pic attached) that was decayed and falling apart to the extent…read morethat you could no longer walk on it. I had dreaded getting the deck replaced because I just didn't want to deal with going thru the work and aggravation. I called a few construction contractors and while 2 never responded, others just gave me a quote to remove the old deck, but never took the time to actually talk or listen to me. Then Alex Halliday, owner of Liberty Remodeling LLC. actually called me after receiving the pic thru Yelp, and set up a time to visit and see all that needed to be done and also what I wanted to do. Alex came when scheduled and listened to what I wanted to do (remove old deck & replace with two covered patios on each side of the existing patio). He was great at making suggestions and asking questions, and showing me pictures to be sure of want I wanted done. His estimates were given and were exactly what was charged. He never changed the amounts and he wrote up detailed contracts for the work. It was 2 1/2 weeks to build the two new patios, lay down the pavers, and I ended up painting the entire house, instead of just the new covered patios (pics attached ). The work was so great, it looks like the patios were part of the original house and not additions. I can't say enough good things about Alex, John (his brother), and the construction crew (Julian and Amador), the pavers, and the painters. Alex did all the scheduling for each crew to come in once each part was completed. He updated me daily on when each crew would be at my house, and at what time. Alex was there as each crew arrived to go over exactly what was going to be done. He or John were there to make sure everything was done as agreed. Then at the end, a final inspection was done with plenty of attention on every detail. My home looks beautiful and the job was completed with no stress. Alex and John Halliday are truly great people to work with, I wouldn't call anyone else!
