The service was fast and friendly. At this current Covid-19 time the UPS Store is only allowing 2 guests in store. They have tape on the floor for where you stand once inside. Both employees are wearing masks and are still managing to smile through them! I was mostly glad to see they are not requiring signatures for pickup or purchase. I called to genuinely inquire about their moving services since I am moving into a new home very soon. However, I am obviously looking for the best rate in different businesses since I do care about my time and money. Therefore, as soon as I call and let the representative know what I am inquiring about, I go straight to the point and ask if they charge hourly. To which the male representative responds yes. I then ask how much is the hourly rate. The male representative declines to answer and asks first about the details of my moving (location, number of people needed to move, etc.). Since I did not want to go into the details before knowing the hourly price so I don't waste anyone's time, I asked again what the hourly rate is. The Asian male representative immediately got defensive and said that I am just another competitor asking about pricing and that I can get it in the website. I then got upset because I was being disrespected for absolutely no reason. Even if I was a competitor, that is not how you treat people when you are confident about your services and business. I then asked for a manager a then got hung up on. I called again, asked for a manager, and got hung up on again. BEWARE of this business at ALL COSTS. It seems like they customize their pricing depending on how they feel about you since they are not transparent about it straight up. All the other business that I have called straight up tell me that they charge by hour or distance, are straight up about their pricing and are also CLEAR of the different things that can change pricing. Such as distance, location and amount of of workers needed for the move. As a person who has worked for a long time in customer service, when a customer also requests a manager, you immediately get the manager. All of the addresses are also a scam.

Very disappointing experience. I was originally quoted around $370 for two movers. I understood…read morethat I would be paying for travel time there and back, but once they arrived at my house, suddenly the pricing was different and there were additional charges, including the truck, movers, travel time, and a $100 deposit. I was in a situation where I needed to move out quickly, so once they were already at my house, I really didn't have much choice but to proceed. What made it worse was that they would not start working until the payment situation was settled, but the clock was still running while we were discussing the charges. Because of that, I ended up getting only about an hour and a half of actual moving work. The most uncomfortable part was when I tried to pay part of the amount in cash. The mover was on the phone with Chris, and Chris wanted proof that I actually had the cash. I was told to fan out my cash and have a picture taken of it to send to Chris as proof of payment. I found the whole situation bizarre, degrading, and extremely unprofessional. I've never had a legitimate business ask me to display my cash and photograph it just to prove that I could pay them. In the end, I paid over $500 for less than two hours of actual work--and all they were doing was moving my belongings from my house into a POD. I went into this expecting the cost to be a little over $350 based on what I had been told, and instead ended up paying considerably more. My biggest issue isn't simply that it cost more. It's that the pricing I was expecting and the pricing I was presented with once they were already at my house were very different. When you're in the middle of moving and need the job done that day, you feel like you're stuck with whatever they're telling you at that point. Based on my experience, I would not use All My Sons again. If you consider using them, I strongly recommend getting every single charge--including travel time, truck fees, deposits, and exactly when the hourly clock starts--in writing before the truck ever arrives.
