I started out paying $149.00 a month with insurance and within a year my bill elevated to $183.00. an extra $408 a year is a HUGH rate increase and I feel totally unfair when your only choice is to leave and transfer all your things to a different storage facility. Therefore they have you in a bind and they know it.

Where this place shines, however, is in the customer service. We've gone here three times now and ended up working with Sade each time. She's great. She seems to have infinite patience, is always super kind, and knows every detail of the services offered by her location. And really, that's all you can ask in a storage place. The units themselves are clean and mostly well-maintained, however some do have sticky doors. One unit had a broken light, however maintenance issues are addressed quickly. The entire property is also kept very clean. I'm deducting a star for two reasons: first (and this may simply be the nature of the industry), there is absolutely no consistency in unoccupied unit pricing from one month to the next. What comes up as $100/mo one month may be $190/mo the next month. Half a star off for a lack of predictability. The other half comes off for one simple reason: EXTREMELY limited parking at the front office. There are few spaces, and the ones that are there are quite tight.

I've been a customer for over a year while living out of state. This weekend I called to verify…read morethat someone would be working Sunday so that I'd be able to vacate and close my account. I came back into town to find a note stating that they were in fact closed and would not be open. This cost us an extra night in a hotel as well as paying our pet sitter for an additional day. I was given a 25% discount on our closing fees. This was hardly anything compared to the inconvenience but I was going to let that go. Even after the entitled store manager was passive aggressive at the desk about the fact that it wasn't his fault it was his employee. When we were almost done moving out he rushed out to us at our car interrupted us to threaten fines if we left any trash or furniture. We were planning on throwing away a few things when we weee done moving out. This is when he said that the dumpster was only for management use and there would also be a $25 fee for using it. For context when I moved in there was 20'x40' of discarded trash and furniture by the dumpster. When he finally made it down to unlock the dumpster he yet again was very passive aggressive saying he could just charge us the $100 trash fee. It took him an extra few minute to unlock the dumpster because he wanted to take his time berating me and my partner about how it's company policy and a sign is posted. When I finally just asked him to open the dumpster so we could vacate he approached me in a very threatening manner in order to try and intimidate us. In the current climate of our social economic environment threatening to fight a stranger that is doing business with you blows my mind. How does this store manager have a job acting like this?! Finally I came to the office and after getting another round of eye rolls, scoffing, and passive aggressive attitude I was able to find out that he'd not even closed out my account. There was still more to sign. I'm assuming he keeps accounts in this open status so that he can charge more fines and such. Very shady business practices. There are literally hundreds of storage facilities nationwide that have plenty of spaces available. When I use a storage unit in the future life storage will be my absolute last choice. I hope for the sake of this companies good name he's not there much longer.

EVERY time I have visited the property since the transition, I found random trash in places, overflowing trash cans and dirty elevators. Let's talk money... what's the point of having a contract with a monthly rate? They raised my monthly rate 3 months after being a customer. Did it again 3 months after that. I feel like they choose to raise rents whenever they feel like it. Terrible experience!
