MakeSpace IS A SCAM…read more After being told my movers would arrive between 8-11am I received a text message at 10:50 from the moving team saying, "we'll be there in 20-30 depending on traffic". 50 minutes later, nothing. I so texted them and received a message saying, "we're en route". At this point it was 11:45 -- 45 MIN LATE FROM THE LAST POINT OF THE TIME WINDOW. Then about 20-25 minutes later, I received a message from a customer service agent - not the movers who had been texting me - saying there was nowhere to park, so they left. Interesting, because there were places to park, including where I parked my car to ensure there was a designated spot. The customer service rep was very apologetic and said she'd call the team. She called them, and called me back maybe 40 minutes later only to say she couldn't help cause they had nowhere to park. WHO DOES THAT? They could text updates on their arrival, but when they didn't see immediate parking, said nothing. Keep in mind, this was the last day of the month. I was moving from Philadelphia to Boston that day. So I now had to engineer a move to Boston the same day (now at about 1:30pm). Needless to say, no moving company could help. I looked at a previous Uhaul quote I'd gotten when I was considering moving myself -- the truck rental would have been $450. Uhaul, Ryder, and Budget all had no trucks within 150mi. of Philadelphia on the day of the move. Penske did -- so I drove 45 minutes to pick it up, paying $1200 for the rental. Of course, I was moving from a 3rd floor walk up apartment, which was too much to move myself with the time crunch. I was forced to hire people off TaskRabbit since no actual movers could accommodate the same day scheduling. Like the truck, I paid a significant premium for same day help. The two gents, who were far from professional movers, with me, were able to get my stuff in the truck in 3 hours. All in, I paid $600 for those two helpers. Worst of all, I went back and looked at the quotes I'd gotten for a full-service move from Philly to Boston (all in the $1,400-1,700 range). Instead, I ended up paying just over $2k, because MakeSpace is a SCAM. Maybe a bad outing, you say? Just bad luck? I thought so, too. Don't get me wrong, under no circumstances would an experience this bad be allowable, but then I met my friend's new girlfriend -- who HAD THE EXACT SAME EXPERIENCE. As did her friend, who moved the same week she had from NYC to Philly. They often DO NOT SHOW, do not call, and leave you to figure it out. I paid just over $2,000 to move myself! Not leaving Philly until 9pm and arriving in Boston to my new apartment at 3am. Thankfully I was able to get out the same day and avoid having to deal with my old apartment and property manager to pay additional rent. All-in-all, the worst experience ever. Whatever you do, do not risk it by using this "company".

THE GOOD- Easy check in with coded keypads on main entry and room doors. Each space was nicely decorated with IKEA type of furnishings and contained their own bathroom, mini fridge, coffee maker, utensils and dishes. There are eateries, hospitals and transportation suitable for walking and driving. THE BAD- the buildings are poorly renovated dwellings that were done without materials to control the transmission of sound throughout the building. Any space below the top floor will result in you being subject to the constant and radiating sounds of people bumping up and down the steps and walking, furniture being moved/drug across the floor, pots clanking on the stove, opening and closing of doors (ie, refrigerator, microwave, room and front) and other sounds from vacuum cleaners, televisions, radio or people merely talking on the phone. THE UGLY- The first space was located on the first floor and contained a used coffee pod in the coffee maker, an empty soap container and mold on the shower curtain, ants and was extremely noisy. After (6) days of this, I requested an alternative option due to the noise and was offered the second space. It was on the second floor at (4031) and contained mold on the shower curtain, dead flies & mice & mice droppings on the furnishings. An unclean fork was in the utensil tray along with clean ones. An empty sugar container was in the cabinet. See photos. The host was responsive & did so rather promptly throughout. They were also polite initially and I received an apology for "The Inconvenience" with each matter brought to their attention. However, after relocating to 4031 Spring Garden St and making them aware of things not up to par there, the host requested to terminate my stay. Airbnb did not honor the request because I had broken no rules and was well within my right to make them aware of my concerns. In lieu of moving to a temporary location for (3) days and returning to the location at 619 N. 39th st, I requested compensation for the "inconvenience" experienced up to that point and was refunded the $50 "cleaning fee." After discovering rodents at the 4031 Spring Garden St location I again requested consideration for a refund of some kind and was denied because I had already received a refund for a separate incident (ants). And again, I was told a request to end my stay earlier would be made. I had (10 days remainingAirbnb was of no help in this matter as decisions rest with the hosts on matters of this type. This was the ABSOLUTE worst experience ever. For those considering a stay with RAMBLEI, you may enjoy a few days without notice of the things mentioned here. However, I would consider another option for a stay of longer duration. If you have multiple valid complaints they will attempt or threaten to have your stay terminate early. Lastly, they offer some rooms without a window. I was offered one and declined. I believe this is a major SAFETY HAZARD particularly in a dwelling with no insulation/fire barrier. Since fires feed off of air flow, this is an accident waiting to happen. Definitely NOT worth it with what they charge. ($1180.00 + a month).

They were incredibly responsive to email or phone. Far better customer experience than I've ever had using any storage unit. Very well run operation. On arrival, they were efficient and professional. Switched me over to a 10x10 unit (which turns out I needed) seamlessly without any issue. Place was clean and safe. Key code entry worked without any issues. Closing out the unit could not have been any easier. 10/10 would use again.

They are the point of sale and are representing the company with the utmost customer service. The property is exceptionally clean and well maintained. Management oversees guidelines as customer safety is a priority. I have visited other storage facilities. No comparison!
