This "management" has changed recently and as a 5+ year client of Extra Space storage, I can officially say that my garage will be a little bit more cluttered as I empty out my large unit on this property. The property has become in disrepair, with trash littered about and with abandoned and rusty vehicles parked in every corner, SOME WITH PEOPLE LIVING IN THEM. The safety of this facility is severely compromised, as is the health of anyone who risks renting a unit here. The "management" is RUDE and abrasive, and actually STOLE money from my automatic withdrawal account (which has now been UNLINKED and the card number changed - DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO 'AUTO DRAFT" From your account!) Terrible experience here after 5 happy and satisfied years at 2 other locations and 3 years at this one. Very sad situation. read more

First off this place is unsafe during winter when it has snowed. They never lay down ice melt which creates a huge safety concern. I have seen large patches of ice that last for many weeks. Secondly, their price gouging is almost criminal (or should be). Just received a notice that my rent is DOUBLING! They raised my rate by about $13 a month last year but this year they are raising it by $89 a month, an 88% increase in a year! They want to charge me $167 for a 10' by 10' unit, Interestingly enough their web site quotes an $81 rate. 1/2 what they want to charge me. Can't believe this is how they are treating a customer of over 2 years.. read more

I can't believe all of the great reviews! We had our stuff in a large unit for 6 months. We just moved it all out a week ago, only to find half of our things covered in rodent feces and urine. Everything was wrapped in plastic and boxed or tubbed. We had to throw away our cal king mattress which wasn't cheap. All of our brand new towels and lots and lots of clothing and bedding. They had nested and tore holes in just about everything! For nearly 300 a month I had hoped the pest control would be on point very upsetting to say the least read more

Attempted to procure a space here for a car. Spoke with someone in a central phone site name Keith who was lovely. He said I'd be contacted by the manager on site soon. Dustin called within 10min. As I attempted to understand the details of how to best secure the unit from out of state, Dustin offered confusing information about what I'd need to do locally at the Extra Space down the street vs what would have to be done on site in Denver. He also measured his 15x10 and told me it as actually only 13.5' long which was too small for the car length. Tried to get his last 10x20 and he said someone else was interested in it as well so he tried to upsell me on the next bigger size (keep in mind a real 15x10 would have worked). Anyhow, tried to determine if the last 10x20 was in play for me despite the other interest. He told me that guy had "dibs". I tried to ascertain how formally binding said dibs were and he condescendingly said, "Oh my God... do you know what dibs are?" Turns out said dibs were not formally binding and the unit would be mine if I got it formally secured at a local Extra Space before the other guy. Asked some questions about the process for doing that and proving ownership of the car at the local site vs his site and he grew more frustrated and told me to rent from a competitor. read more

Needed to empty a POD, into a storage unit. No one could accommodate me! Stopped by, talked to Dustin, no problem! Grounds and area are kept up, security cameras everywhere. Plus, Dustin is as professional as they come. My POD had to sit for almost 2 weeks, due to pick up scheduling conflict. Again, no problem! Would recommend this business to anyone! read more

The facility is great and very well-kept. Unfortunately, last night I went into my unit and realized that there was a roof leak that had dripped down and ruined my microfiber ottoman. Granted, we have had a tremendous amount of rain this spring in Denver, but nevertheless was disappointed. Dustin, the sales manager, was very apologetic and fortunately I had taken out the protection plan... so hopefully their insurance will help pay for the replacement. I would assume this is an unusual circumstance, but with my personal experience, I couldn't give them a higher rating. read more

We sold our house and rented 4 units from Extra space Storage on Lincoln in Parker on 4/2019 which is our first storage unit experience. After several months we managed to consolidate to one 10x20 unit. Corporate management is apparently tone deaf to the times we live in. Rate increases on 4 units is an unpleasant experience and in 5 months we had 4 at10.78%, 17.14%, 18.04%,18.76%. On the 10x20 unit our first increase of 18.76% was 4 months after we moved in. 9 months later we have our second increase which was thankfully only 8.867%. 11 months later we have our third increase of 18.53%, three rate changes in 24 months. Instead of appreciating good renters the corporate business model is designed to tax loyal customers with regular rate changes. The facility is clean and well managed by Dustin who provides exceptional customer service. I will find other options and discontinue being a financial piñata for corporate greed. read more

I needed a short term storage solution while I was in-between houses. Thinking about renting a storage unit gave me anxiety - I assumed the experience would be awful. I finally bit the bullet and contacted Extra Space Storage. From the first phone call and every interaction since, I have been blown away by the customer service experience! Seriously one of the best customer service experiences I've had from any company, hands down. Who would have thought!? Highly recommend this company and location. We recently started renting at ExtraSpace Storage on Lincoln Ave in Parker CO. The customer service is really good, and the price for the space was a really good deal for us. We transferred our stuff from a POD to a storage unit, and the help from Dustin @ ExtraSpace made that process easy. The drop-off and pick-up of the POD went as smooth as we could have wished. Needed some short-term storage and this place was a great solution. I can't speak for all Extra Space Storage locations, but I will say that this one is well-managed, clean, and staff are pleasant and proactive. I didn't need 24-hour access, so the 10pm closing time was fine with me. Move-in fee was $22 and you must have insurance for your property which if I recall starts at about $16/month (for the minimum coverage of $3000 in property value), so make sure you plan on these costs along with your monthly space rental fee. Walkthrough and filling out of a standard contract (with no minimum term) took about 20 minutes. I had no problems whatsoever getting in and out of the facility and accessing my unit, including with 12 inches of snow on the ground (a sufficiently wide access lane had been promptly plowed). Highly recommend this location. read more

I would like to leave a good review since Tara was very helpful when we moved into the unit but this place is awful. I kept my things in the unit for 10 months paying almost $200 a month and when I went to move out everything had water damage. There roof was rusted from all the water, when we closed the unit from the inside light came through. All the man could say was "you are lucky because you took my advice and got the insurance." First of all, I had never even met him before and second of all no one told me to get the insurance, I did that on my own. This "wonderful" insurance company that Extra Space provided has a fabulous 1.0 star rating and I am confident that is only because you can't leave less than a star. I was told my claim would be process within 20 days, then I would receive a phone call and my check would be mailed the next day. It has now been 27 days and all they can tell me is they are "behind." We had to buy all new bedroom furniture, a mattress and a couch which were all expenses we didn't budget for. Looking back on these reviews there are clearly other people that have had the same problem. DO NOT RENT HERE. And if you have your things stored here GO CHECK ON THEM!! read more

It was the day after Christmas, I already had a reservation at another storage place, but that mom and pop shop decided they didn't want to work that day so I had to scramble to find another location.
