I rented a unit here because the price was so much cheaper at this location than the other Extra Space Storage locations within 10 miles. This particular location is on Nellis by Vegas Valley. My unit is in the temp controlled building. Luckily it is on the 2nd floor because the last major rains that came through and flooded Las Vegas also flooded this place pretty bad. The office has been closed ever since because they had to gut it all out from all the water damage. Im pretty sure alot of units were destroyed. This location is not in the greatest area. Alot of homeless people come and go from here (im pretty sure some of them reside in their unit). One day when I went to my unit I had come across a pink tote full of urine and what looked like human feces. I tried to contact the office but no one answered. So the next day I contacted the office again and they said they would take care of it. I came back 3 days later. And it was still there. Goes to show. They do not clean this place. Or even conduct a daily walk through like I would think would be very important for the safety of their customers. I just know when the time is right. I am more than ready to gather my belongings and get the heck outta there. Rent at your own risk! read more

I've had a storage unit at this Nellis Extra Space Storage since 2017. Over the years I've ran into a few difficulties. Whenever I have had a challenge the management staff no matter who I have dealt with are always professional ,friendly, understanding and most of all helpful. Rented online, was not the unit I requested, called customer service, after being transferred several times, was told I could rent (XYZ unit) so I agreed, took the lock, put stuff in, and went on my way. Next day, go to managers office, and I am told that is NOT my unit and I have to move my stuff.... Wait/what?! Oh no, that was rented to (not me) and you have to move out... Get it together people. Real talk, people that have to move, get nickled and dimed to death. This business could/should do better. Great secured facility and friendly service with employees willing to help over the phone and on site. I was having problems getting my unit unlocked a few minutes after the office hours. The staff answered my call even though he could've ignore it. He was friendly and come out to help. Thank you to the staff that was on duty on 1/21/23 till closing. It was horrible experience I wanted to learn about quotes and the knowledge was not there no help and there was a new district manager she was saying she ran life storage like no one's business and she went on and on not even caring I was standing there her shirt was full of grease of some sort and she was eating raw bacon out of the package, disgusting then she put her leg up on the counter and farted and proceeded to say that's the stuff I walked out immediately it was a horrible experience not to mention her shirt didn't even fit her ugh. read more

Customer service quality is terrible, we reserved two units under the company name by one employee and would like to change to another name, but the storage manager was so difficult to deal with and inflexible that in the end, we just had to terminate the contract, wasting many hours on the phone, and they refused to even refund a future month rent that we haven't used yet. I had their largest unit for a while, then downsized to their smallest. I just moved out this week. The entire process was fast, efficient, easy, reasonably priced, and hassle free. Couldn't really ask for more than that. No complaints here. Looking back, I believe it was their pricing that originally attracted me. read more

Honestly, I was really excited to find a good storage place at an excellent price! Yet, the price went up like 3 months after, $25 more expensive. Okay, fine and understandable. Yet, don't let those online prices fool you! I just went to my storage unit about a week ago and found things that were not in there before like loose particle of trash or waste. Most likely from the renovations they had been doing, okay fine. Kept looking around, eventually found a dead rat. The rat had chewed on some things but luckily did not get into much. However, at that point I was fed up. I went to inform the person working at the desk of the dead rodent in my unit and they did not seem very concerned. They called up "pest control," which was simply a guy with a trash bag and a set of pinchers to pick it up. I understand that it is not the employee's fault but that was just a representation of the lack of care this company provides for their storage units. I had to take out all my stuff and clean it out myself and move to a u-haul. In addition, I was told that I would be partially refunded for whatever part of the month I didn't use when I moved out. The woman at the desk told me that I would have had to have called and moved my date. Which completely made no sense to me. Highly would just recommend investing your money into a nicer storage unit. read more

This is a good place to store your stuff. I haven't had any problems with the units or personnel working here. I've been doing business here for the past 3 years.., even when it rains hard my stuff never got wet inside.. Although I did see a couple guys crawl out of one unit on a cold December night- I was wondering why the door was up about a foot from the ground. They do have a camera outside facing the units. And you can do everything on your iPhone- sign contracts and sign up for automatic monthly payments, but if you need to speak to someone I would recommend talking to Martha- she's very helpful and kind.. read more

Everything was good with this place until we switched to a smaller storage shed, In the last month our shed has been gone through and left open twice. My things have been hanging out, ripped, and stolen! If you can't do your job and keep my property safe than why should I pay you to do so? I do NOT recommend this place at all, that is unless you don't mind losing a few things. Today when I called I talked to a lady (Supervisor) who refused to give me their district managers number and instead treated me like crap and said "We have camera but they don't record the storage sheds"! I've check Yelp and google. Yet I wasn't wowed by the reviews. Tho I still had to give them a chance since reviews have been over a year ago or ppl haven't been renting for over a day..... I walked in ...the gentleman quoted me about$65 For a 5x8 drive up storage unit... that included rent and insurance. Personally thought it was a bit pricey. So, decided to look into the prices on the website. They were a lot cheaper FYI! I said I would return I would just have to see if 5x8 was big enough.... it wasn't:( I came back hours later and I requested to see the same one 5x8 and a 5x10 air cooled. I expected the 5x10 air cooled one to be more expensive since it's bigger and AIR Cooled. Nope I was quoted the same price so I'm not sure if the fact that I reserve it online made a difference on the price but hey I don't mind. Save me a few dollars! Over all customers service was great and very informative, explained the do's and don'ts thoroughly. I will update my review as soon as I think it's been a few months to get the full experience. read more

I just want to warn people about this place, I usually don't write reviews but Maddie really rubbed me the wrong way. Maddie is clueless on how to treat customers with respect this is a business that's about hospitality she's in the hospitality business but she wants to be rude for no reason. If you call and she answers the phone she will lie to you one hundred percent and say the office closes at 5 p.m. when it says online closes at 6pm and anybody else says who works there say it's 6 pm. I called corporate and informed them about her but this company doesn't have any protocol with their employees and it doesn't seem like they really care about their customers at all they did not want to help me. They just wanted to blame me for her mistakes I got a late fee because she wasn't even there at the office and I was trying to pay my bill because she left early now that late fee did get erased eventually but she had an attitude saying oh you didn't pay your bill like you owe us like giving me attitude because I went above her head and got the fee erased because it was her fault 100% that I had it in the first place. read more

If i could give 0 stars i would. Please do not pay in cash or in advance. Getting your refund due to you is a nightmare. I paid cash upfront and now being told 6 weeks for my refund. This place has NO customer service. They. Let the internet do the work. No detailed receipt at check out.. When i asked to verify address they say the did....not and valled me a liar. Training needs to be upgraded. Learn how to problem solve and speek to human customers. We are not robots. Where did human kindness go????
