Ben, the salesman, came out within a couple of business days for an in-home estimate. I blanched a little at the price but had heard good things about them. It was worth it. The same two guys, Stan and Zac, did the loading, driving, and unloading, and they an outstanding job. They stayed in touch with me during the drive to communicate about arrival times. Everything arrived in an excellent state--no scratches, spills, or other damage. I had packed myself, and even the things that I had not packed very well arrived in good shape. The men remained cheerful, helpful, and polite in spite of hot weather--even when they unexpectedly needed to carry an oak bookcase up to the fourth floor because it was 1/4" too high to get into the elevator. Just one suggestion relates to marking boxes. The boxes that I used for framed pictures had "up" arrows on them. These boxes were turned on their sides during the move--though with no damage to contents. Because all of my other boxes were second hand and already had markings of different kinds, I should have pointed out the picture boxes or marked them in a more obvious way.

The final cost actually came in a little bit under the low-end of the quote. It was a townhouse move to a Second floor condo in a neighboring city. The guys showed up a few minutes late (nothing horrible), and they worked like crazy. I mean really fast. They were all super nice! I wasn't quite done packing they said let us take whatever we can because it is easier for us than you. And, boy was that right. My advice to you if your moving when it gets close to the day just throw the rest of your stuff in boxes, because he was right it was easier for them than for us. Highly recommend these guys. He said yes and said he changed my time to 2 to 4 pm when he had another customer cancel. I told him we would not be ready that early and I could do 3 pm he agreed. The movers called me at 1:48 pm and said they were at my Apt and that the clock starts at 2 pm!!! Keep in mind I am disabled and use an electric wheelchair so I'm not able to just hurry and be ready. I said to the labor men that no, I would not start the clock at 1:48 pm when they weren't even supposed to be here yet and the truck we rented was not back from the rental place yet. The owner then told me he left me a message that they were coming at 2!!! Like I am a business and have to listen to voice mail. I told him he couldn't change the time without my consent. The workers then told me that my time was up and I owed $398.00 because I had to pay them from their place to my home and back The owner never mentioned that to me remember he said $300.00. Then he said if I didn't pay it they would have to call the police for theft of services because it said it in the email they sent. It doesn't say that in the email I will share with you. Then they weren't even finished with the job! So I had to hire them for 30 more mnts at $70.00 more dollars! So they stole my time and were going to make me a criminal for theft of their time!! I should have called the police myself and had them arrested for stealing my time by changing the time without my consent, not informing me of the $98.00 charge for them coming to my house and going back to work AND NOT FINISHING THE JOB, SENDING ME TO JAIL FOR AN OFFENCE THEY WERE COMMITTING, AND NOT INFORMING ME IT WOULD BE $468.00 INSTEAD OF THE QUOTED PRICE OF $300.00. They charged us for items (row boat, scaffolding, canoe, etc.) that we had moved ourselves and they broke some collector whiskey tumblers that cannot be replaced, they destroyed an antique "balloon", and they scratched a coffee table and left a long scratch across the top of it. This all happened a number of years ago but I have never forgotten how bad they were. The office staff was awful too. If you still decide to hire them I wish you good luck because you will need it!
