Frank and his crew run a smooth operation here in Kihei. I've had a unit there for about a year and they've helped me with everything. Price adjustments, security questions and they keep the place very clean. I highly recommend EXTRA SPACE STORAGE here in Kihei! Aloha read more

Travis did me a solid! He helped me cut my lock off of my storage and then rented me a smaller storage unit. I got everything in there and he saved me $80 a month! He was so helpful and really went above and beyond to help me in any way that he could. Thank you Extra Space Storage and Travis! read more

Extra Space Storage - Self Storage Near Me - Kihei, Hawaii

Clean, safe facility that I will absolutely use again if needed. If you need a 5x10 unit, ask if there is a 10 wide by 5 deep one available. That made getting to our stuff WAY easier. The office staff was all wonderful, and I never had any problems with the autopay. Highly recommend read more

Always professional. Clear and precise directions. Easy setup. Easy payment. Always cheerful.

Friendly, professional, helpful staff. Plenty of large carts to move your belonging. Gates are open until 10pm. Clean and convenient location. read more

ExtraSpace Storage in North Kihei is a conveniently located and well-maintained facility. The staff has, on several occasions, proven to be professional and friendly, eager to assist clients in any way they can. I was especially impressed when, after inadvertently leaving our unit unlocked, someone contacted me to say that they had discovered my oversight and locked the unit for us. They called so that I could visit the unit and make sure that nothing was missing. If they had not made this extra effort, our unit could have been left unlocked for months! Mahalo, Extra Space staff! read more

I have used storage for two years and always responsive, Frank was very helpful keeping my rate the same. Thank you for all you do!!

We just needed someplace to store our bags for a couple of hours and a Google search turned up this place. Frank and Ashley were incredibly helpful when we got there, going above and beyond for someone who would only be there a couple of hours. I highly recommend this location!!! read more

Just moved out of my bigger storage unit to a smaller storage unit. I was lucky that they had one right across from my other unit no problem moving. Also that your team is great to work with. read more

Frank was always so friendly and accommodating. All of my office interactions were handled very professionally. The unit worked well and carts were almost always available (in my two years I only had to go look for a cart once). Many of my unit visits were at night and the sensor hallways lights worked well. It was hard to see in my unit as they are not lit, so I just made sure I always had a flashlight when going at night. The only negative is there is a big wind tunnel around the outside of the building I was in, and the carts would roll on the incline so you had to prop the full cart against your car to hold it in place. Locking wheels on the carts would save a lot of headaches. The incline on the driveway is necessary for drainage so adding some type of system to help with loading and unloading would be helpful. Overall my experience here was great thanks to the friendly staff! read more

Quick, Easy, Professional Experience. Clean, Accessible, Secure Storage, with Great Hours. Their website and communication are outstanding, making it easy to make decisions. They even trimmed the heavy plastic packaging on the lock to make getting started easy. Thank You! read more

Great storage place, I have used them twice, they're always really good about calling and letting you know before they assess any late charges. Highly recommend! read more

We needed to use a small storage unit while downsizing and waiting for a new house and these guys were awesome. The staff are super friendly and reliable, it was never stressful to contact them and the storage units are well secured and it's not a scary place (like some storage facilities). If we need storage again I'd love to use them. The prices are alright, but it is Maui. We are very happy overall. read more

They had a wide variety of sizes to choose from, including a unit in the perfect size for me. People were very friendly and the rates can't be beat. Also I feel the place is safe. read more

Needed to clear out my condo of clutter/household items before our floors are redone. My compliments to Angela who assisted getting me the perfect-sized unit and complete all the contract over the phone and email--I never had to go into the office! Within hours, my items were stored in this clean and Covid-safe area. Angela is a real asset to your business! Mahalo! Claire Schultz read more

Representatives were very polite, professional and personable. The premises were always clean and free of any debris. There were always multiple carts on the first floor and I never had problems with entry or exit to facility. read more

Very efficient , friendly, and thorough process. Lots of size options in clean building and space. Don't hesitate!

Very good customer service. Good accessibility and hand carts are normally available. Big problem is that unit prices are going up often and significantly. My unit rent has increased by 276% in 2 years which is ridiculous. Rates are based on market conditions and high demand equals high and frequent increases. This may or not be true of competing storage facilities. Computer modelling seems to drive the price analysis and resulting automatic rate increases so build that into your budget if you plan to rent for an extended period. read more

Angela was such a big help for us today! Fast, efficient, friendly, informational. Such a relief and so appreciated! So glad I chose extra space! Thank you Angela!! read more

Brenda was wonderful. We need to storage our luggage for a day because we had to check out on Airbnb at 11 am and our fight didn't leave until 9 pm . We didn't want carry our luggage everywhere. Brenda helped with that and charged us only 52 dollars for a small storage . read more

Great customer service! I have worked with extra space with two separate companies. Each time it was quick and easy to set up. Brenda is extremely helpful and friendly. I highly recommend using extra space storage Kihei for your storage needs. read more

BRENDA is the store manager & how she achieved that position is beyond me. This place is a SCAM. Brenda is probably the RUDEST person I've ever met. Her motto must be "I am always right, screw the customers". Be careful when you reserve a space online because when you show up she will say it's no longer available but try to sell you something for double the price. What a SCAM. Also while I was waiting, Brenda was "helping" a woman, speaking down to her, was so condescending, this poor woman left in tears of frustration. I felt so bad for her. TERRIBLE customer service. read more

I've used Extra Space storage for most of the 10 years I've lived on Maui. I've never had any problems with the units. They're always clean and I've never had any problems with bugs or mice which is common in storage facilities. Recently Kelly and Cher helped me out huge with my move to the mainland. They were accommodating, friendly, and understanding. They helped make a stressful situation, I was put in by a trucking company, go away with their help. Big Mahlon to them and the staff and Extra Space Storage. Aloha and mahalo!!! read more

Just so expensive to store anything in Maui, your better off selling everything like TV's etc because you can replace them cheaper than storing them. read more

Great customer service, very polite and professional. Happy to see the office is paper free! Lots of parking and very helpful staff. Good hours too! Only complaint is how hot it is inside building C. But it is what it is, I didn't pay for AC - just a spot to store my extra stuff. read more

Not sure how the service is, but upon loading stuff into one of the units, I can say that the units are not climate controlled or very clean on the inside compared to a unit we had in Kahului. read more

Love this place! The customer service was excellent. Can always get a live person immediately or within one minute. They gave me a great deal, and even after I agreed to the price they saved me even another $3 a month. Their hours are awesome as well. A definite recommend - they will work with your needs, are extremely polite and patient, and all around a great experience. NO ONE likes moving it can be really frustrating, and these guys made it a lot easier! read more

We have rented a storage unit for 3 yrs. In that time, our rent has gone from $45.00 to $92.00 Then to make matters worse we found that our unit was broken in to. We are on the 2nd floor, with no survey cameras. We needed to call the police. And after the office had mentioned that there has never been a robbery there. The police officer had said its happened before. With not knowing when the unit was broken into, as we hadn't gotten into it for 2 mos, it was hard to know when this would have happened. Plus to even figure out what has been stolen, has made us empty the entire unit. This is covered under our Homeowners insurance. But only for $5,000. Who knows who else has been robbed like us, and 1/2 the people never hardly go to their units. read more

ok, so signed up and signed contract/paperwork for storage space. 2 months into it, auto withdrawal is more....???? i call, they say rate increase? WTF are you talking about, i signed a contract for a rate... okay she says price increase at anytime.... are you fu.... g kidding me... i will change my place of storage thank you read more

I have been renting here for 3 years I have had no problems here. Brenda the manager has been very good to work with. I would recommend this place to anyone who is not a complainer or nit picky and think they are entitled. It's funny how most of the comments are all bad because someone didn't read or understand the terms of rental agreement. dont knock something down that you voluntarily walked into . Brenda and her team do a great job and I am proud to rent at extra space. read more

Frank was awsome he helped me out a bunch and I would reccomend this facility to anyone I know. He knows what he is doing and made me feel like my stuff will be safe here. Great job frank. If you need storage definetaly use this facility. It is clean safe and has great access hours. Two thumbs up and 5 stars to this property and company. read more

Storage for the airport! It was perfect, our condo didn't offer to store our luggage and since 9/12 the airport doesn't offer lockers. We were in a bind! We rented a convertible which was fantastic but we sat with luggage on our laps and all around us. Thanks to extra space storage we were able to play all day and pick up our luggage at 10 pm just before our flight. They were friendly and easy to work with! read more

Moved from NJ to Maui and had many boxes sent directly to this Kihei branch. Frank and Angela were wonderful and could not have been any more helpful. They called us as soon as our boxes arrived each time so we could put them away in our storage unit. Great customer service from beginning to end. Thanks, Frank and Angela! read more

I rented a 10x10 unit for a month last week and personally had nothing but positive experiences with this specific location while moving homes here on Maui so far. Anna helped my wife and I out and did a fantastic job with the process directly from the start from answering my call promptly and every question I had with complete professionalism and explained the rental agreements with no hesitation or issues. I called other storage unit companies in the area and received voicemails or apathetic employees who seemed rather annoyed to answer my questions or value my time and business... The relatively new looking modern style facility was kept up really nice on the inside and out. Our indoor unit she showed to us was exactly what we received and was really clean with no visible dirt or bugs! There is a loading dock connected to the building for easy unloading along with a ramp with ample medium sized carts to push your items up without lifting/carrying them into the elevator or first floor.... Facility seems rather safe to me with cameras in plain sight tucked back off the main road away from town with reasonable access hours, compared to other unit locations. Would recommend them for the South Maui Kihei/Wailea/Maalaea areas, haven't tried their Kahului location but imagine the service is just as identical. Aloha! read more
