EXPERIENCE: Naturally I jumped on Yelp and utilized the site's useful quote feature where it also sends the inquiry to multiple businesses if you wish. Long story short, MCS had the best rating out of everyone and responded quickly (next day). I got a quote of $190/hour with a minimum of 2-hours. Due to the location and size of the furniture that needed to be moved, my spouse asked the owner, Mark, if he could come by just to check everything out so we wouldn't be surprised with any additional fees (which there weren't any). He happily agreed, even driving to the furniture's final destination point to check out the location. We agreed to move everything on a specific date a few days down the road. A medium-sized box truck and four workers arrived 15-minutes early on moving day. Out of courtesy, they asked if we wanted their shoes on or off (it's a Hawaii thing!) Pieces were professionally wrapped with protective plastic with utmost care not to cause damage to walls, light fixtures, etc. I was very impressed with an ingenious arm strap that was used to lift and move a very heavy cabinet. I could picture me blowing out my back trying to lift it without leverage. Delivery was just as efficient as pick up. We called them a second time as we had a last minute move of a custom-built bed. There are no words to describe how incredible Mark and his MCS team are. I was on island helping my parents clean out a large space at our house in East Maui (big enough for a 4 car garage) that had accumulated about 30 years' worth of stuff, and trying to do it in just a few days. After I emailed through their website, Mark responded so fast, and was kind and professional the whole time. (For those of you who know what a physical AND emotional challenge it can be to clean situations like this, it is so worth it to have someone who actually cares about the customer!) He came out by himself to check things out a couple days before he brought his big truck out and made all of us feel at ease. Day of the clean out, Mark showed up with his crew right as scheduled and they worked HARD. They took so many things we didn't know how to get rid of -- I'm talking like 4 tractor lawnmowers, an old grill & propane tanks, and a 25 y/o water damaged freezer. All for LESS than what we would have paid in dumpster rental fees for the same sq. footage from Maui Disposal! Where they can recycle, they do (which I appreciate), even if it means taking it to another location. He even graciously offered to take some items we hadn't originally planned for, which was so awesome. Aloha, As the CEO for Arc of Maui County I contracted with MCS to relocate our office to a new building. The guys arrived on time and took great care with our equipment and were very friendly. I also hired MCS to handle a home move which included loading a 45' container with household goods including a vehicle. Not only did Mark and the guys do a great job they coordinated the trucker and tow truck needed to transport to and from the port and lift the vehicle into the container. Their price was very reasonable but there was no discount in the quality of work they provided. Every time I'd ask if they could fit one more thing into the container they happily took on the challenge. He organizes and directs his men so basically all you do is tell him what to move. It was the easiest time I have ever had with movers because he was there to manage and direct his men. We have used other Moving Companies and MCS Hauling is superior. We can't say enough good things because at the end of the move, because of their efficiency we even moved a storage unit and emptied it out and he neatly put it all back in the garage. We have never seen somebody who tried to keep everything in order too. So in the end we accomplished way more than we ever thought possible and we can't wait to organize the last part of our move with MCS Hauling. Another great thing is that he is very diverse and he is going to pick up a piece of heavy Pilates Equipment for me and bring it to my house and then take the boxes away. Mark and his crew were very courteous and professional, and they picked up my 3 (very heavy) old generators with amazing efficiency and loaded them into a special trailer. His vehicles are immaculate! Mark was on top of the communication from the getgo, which I really appreciated. I assumed I would have to follow him to Hammerhead Metals to pay the bill, since they are the only facility which accepts generators and they charge for them. But Mark gave me a very fair quote upfront which covered Hammerhead's fee in addition to Mark disposing the three batteries at another facility and removing the gasoline and properly disposing that as well!
