Wind power at the landfill!
Georgie H.

Five stars for a well run operation. Most people will just park and throw their trash into the dumpsters which then get transported over to the current active dump site. But if you have a dump truck you can drive right up to the landfill and tip it in. Every day they cover up the stinky trash with gravel, so it's really a pretty clean operation here. The best part is that it's free. Things have come a long way from the old days when everybody could dump and search through the trash looking for treasures! Lol. Been there done that. Simpler days. I wonder what will happen when there's no more place to dump.

$5 to dump trash, everyone is friendly. I don't believe they limit how many time you dump a day as one reviewer said.

Easy and convenient to dump your rubbish. $4 not bad. The price did increase. I just wish they were open on weekends.

Great place for locals to drop off their cardboard. You can drive up and drop off your flattened cardboard here. Very nice staff.

The guy working there helped unload our trunk which we apreciated-we always seem to have old unworking electronic stuff and this is the place to take it so doesn't end up in the trash.

I've been accumulating worn out computers, printers, stereo equipment and stuff for years. If the item was functional, I would list it on Craigslist for free, just to keep it out of the landfill and to give someone else the chance to get some use out of it. But, if it's a hunk of junk, there's no point in listing it and getting someone's hopes up for a nice freebie. This stuff was junk. We found this place with a quick Google search. Open Tuesday 1-5pm and Saturday 8am-1pm, I thought they would be less busy on a Tuesday afternoon. There were people dropping off when we arrived and more showing up as we left. I violated rule #1 right away. You're supposed to stay in your car. My pile of junk was in the trunk, so I got out to open the trunk since my car has a key lock for the trunk lid. Thankfully, the fellow who came out let this violation slide. He actually was very friendly and we got along well. But, there was another problem. Some of my electronics weren't acceptable. He told me that he couldn't take my old garage stereo, complete with an 8-track tape player. I asked him why and he just shrugged his shoulders. But, if I moved that receiver, he would take the junk that was under it. He also took my old printer, but left the broken CD changer. So, I guess I have a couple of hunk of junk headed for the landfill.
