Then they'll schedule an appointment, send 1 experienced mover and 3 guys they picked up off of the street and load SOME of your stuff in their trucks. Then with SOME of your stuff loaded, they'll deliver it to its new location. Once there, they'll unload, set it in place, partially assemble the items they fully disassembled, stay until late at night because they didn't plan correctly and then leave without finishing. Then guess what? You get a bill for over $1000 more than the quote. And this is the best part.... You get to hire another company to move the items this company charged you for but didn't move!! I say over 4 hours because they started at 1pm and it was going on 5pm and they still haven't left my apartment. It's not even a packed 2 bedroom apartment-my daughter and me live together. First, my apartment complex is very anal: the elevator goes from the basement floor only to the 1st floor and I live on the 2nd floor. So-if you don't take the elevator that's 4 flights (10 steps each) of stairs you have to take to get to the moving truck. If you take the elevator-that's only 20 stairs (2 flights) to get to the first floor, walk out of another door and about 15 grown person steps to the elevator and boom you're on the ground floor. From there it's about 10 grown person steps to the mover's truck. If it was me and I was a mover, I would just opt for the elevator since I have several boxes and the heavy stuff would tire me out going down all those stairs.....not my movers. They chose the stair option. So- a 365 dollar 4 hour Groupon moved turned into a 685 dollar 6 and a half hour Move. The foreman's customer service was awesome and the entire time it remained that way but the 4.5 hours to clear a 2 bedroom is just beyond me.

PRICE GOUGE - Adds RIDICULOUS trumped up fees that are not in the contract. They have generic contract without any totals on it except the cost for that agreement we initially made. However, they charged me an addition $500 extra. and wouldnt take my most valuable items off the truck until I paid. Threatened me with storage fees and drove off with my valuables for 12 hours forcing me to pay the trumped up charges. When they returned, they would not deliver the heavy items into the home. The police had to them move it upstairs. CUSTOMER SERVICE - The people who do return your a call eventually are skilled scammers, and professional liars. One of the movers who is the owner of the fraudulent business denies accountability. POOR MOVING WORK ETHIC - Movers was an hour and thirty minutes late. Complained they were tired the whole time becuase this was there 5 move. They took smoke breaks, and was very, very slow. One guy stood around and waited for orders from the lead mover who is the owner. One bedroom apartment took TWO trips because they didnt pack the truck up. I later learned this was part of the time scam. I do NOT have a lot of items that would taken 6 hours to move. The mover gave me a generic receipt that looks a waiter could of written up in restaurants. In my opinion, don't think this company should be in buisnesd and should have their licenses to move people revoked. Location: This company is web based. The movers didn't arrive until 5:30 PM, with little to no communication throughout the day. We were left waiting and constantly had to call them ourselves just to get updates. The person answering the phone was minimally helpful and couldn't provide any clear information. Our move was only from a one-bedroom apartment to a two-bedroom apartment just 8 miles up the road. It should not have taken as long as it did, and it certainly shouldn't have cost as much as it did. Overall, the lack of communication, extreme delay, and high cost made this a very frustrating experience. I expected much better service. I hate that we had to leave a 1-Star to post this.

So bad that they messed up their own bits from the tool box. They left my new apartment with my mattress on the door, frame leaned against my closet. One of the movers, explained to me that the OTHER worker used the wrong head (bit) to unscrew and then screw back in! Had to call my son in law to help. he had to buy all new screws to fix their error. i did a claim (just one) but only the one, because the company ONLY allows you to file one claim. My offer for a $700 TV, is a payment if $150. I moved 7 miles down the road...my cost was $1256. DO NOT USE THEM! I was screwed over and this move cost me so much more than it should have. I have asked to speak with an owner, VP or someone else....and Ace keeps giving me the run around. Reviews are the most important thing I will do on all things that I do moving forward.
