The owner, Jennifer Martin, said they were not returnable. BUT she was so kind as to keep them and said she'd work out something with the owners (she is actually the owner U-Haul said but they are inveterate liars there at Skillman Storage). Long story short: she said she got the approval for a refund and said she had processed it. Well, she had not. So she kept the merchandise and also the money. They are thieves. When I found out what happened, she first said U-Haul screwed up and she'd look into it. Now, she keeps saying she's going to refund the money and even said she sent a check. Nope, never got it. Avoid this place. You just never know if they're going to overcharge your credit card and you'll be out of the area to do anything about it. Their BBB ratings are bad, too. And she wouldn't respond to my complaint through them. Avoid.

I will be contacting my bank and the BBB today, then possibly the Dallas Police Department after that. There are also homeless people living up and down the street because there are vacant lots next to the business. I have caught them looking in my car windows and would not recommend any female to go here at night if you are alone.

I've had two major thefts. I would not recommend this facility. They have major ongoing theft and management does not care. I've made multiple complaints. It's a complete joke. Choose wisely for a company that cares about their clients, respects their facility, maintains and cares about the safety of their clients and what they're storming. The "lead" guy was okay, but the other one was not so friendly. The lead guy was kind enough to take a queen-sized bed that I no longer needed, though, which really helped. We will not be using this moving company anymore, and do not recommend them.

It's my understanding that the movers are contracted and are linked up for each move. Kind of like Uber for moving? They all drive separately and likely have never met before. Luckily the synergy of our group was great. We only had 3 out of the 4 movers show up which was a frustrating start since we were quoted for 4. Found out morning of that one cancelled. We spent quite a bit of time on the phone with customer service to ensure the cost was adjusted. We had to defend our case quite a bit for an appropriate response. Having 3 instead of 4 people does impact time and is an inconvenience. The 3 gentlemen that actually showed up are the reason for the positive review. They worked extra hard to compensate for being one man down and made sure we were taken care of on-time as promised. They worked well together and quickly established a great system. So we truly appreciated all their help! I have nothing but great things to say about them. Personally, I would probably consider the traditional moving model and company if I needed the service again.
