I like that there is somebody on site and that the facility is monitored 24 hours. The property was clean, there's a dumpster that they dont charge you extra for, and even a moving truck to use for free if you need it. Also their insurance is affordable. I loved that my first month rent was free, I paid for my insurance and a pad lock, signed some forms and had access. This is where you can trust your stuff will be safe, and have awesome staff to work with.

I paid about $65/ month for a 5 by 5 space, but was able to fit a decent amount with such a high ceiling height. Let's just say I built a formidable furniture skyscraper inside of my little square space. Sure, it was a bit more expensive but infinitely less sketchy than many self storage units. He was excellent and even gave me a shorter, easier to remember gate code. He was most excellent and a key factor to my overall first impressions. these guys were angels in our life when we needed a miracle!!! we hired them to move our things…read morefrom the u-pack pod facility in cohoes to our intended storage facility, albany menands self storage. they did such a great job packing the heavy contents of our three pods into their truck, and were knowledgeable, professional, and good natured. when we arrived at the storage place to unload, we found an empty office, broken elevator, and homeless people partying in the unlocked building. the sun was going down, the truck needed to go back to the facility, and our only plan had suddenly fallen apart. the folks from don's so kindly came to our rescue and stored our belongings overnight at their facility, helping us brainstorm new options. the next day they helped my husband move it all into a massive u-haul we'd rented, and when he paid the invoice, they hadn't charged us any more than their original quote, despite the headache our chaos had surely caused. i am truly so grateful for the kindness and patience they showed us, and of course for the expert job they did with the move itself. highly recommend!!

Movers didn't show up the day of the move after getting the permits for no parking, arranging time off of work and family members to help. Service was efficient but still very careful to protect our belongings and the safety pf the 5 man crew. Everyone was very professional and our move went off without a hitch. Lamana's knows what they are doing. We packed our personal items, so the crew only had to move the furniture & boxes. They just needed us to direct them as to placement in our new house. In all, the entire process took about 5 hours. We should note my husband is immune compromised and all staff took precautions when it came to pandemic precautions. We are grateful for their professionalism and concern, in this regard. There was a GREAT article about Lamana's in the Albany Times Union on 9/2/20, this is a multigenerational family run business and they deserve the high praise and recognition. I've already passed them on to another friend who will be moving in the near future and to our realtor. I do recommend calling & booking as soon as you have a closing date.
