I was scheduled for a delivery…read moreon a Thursday and due to unforeseen circumstances (highway closures) the delivery was not able to be completed. I was understanding of the conditions outside of their control. On Thursday the dispatcher, Steve Westin, said he would figure out another date to deliver and call me back that night. He NEVER called back. The next morning I was already nervous about my stuff so I had to call him back and left a message. He still never called back. I called again and finally got ahold of him. Instead of being apologetic he acted like it was my fault and told me to stop talking. At the end of the conversation he yelled "I will call you when we're ready to deliver!" and rudely hung up on me without giving me any information of when I might expect to see my property. I called back and asked for the manager, Kelly Barone. She was completely unsympathetic and said she had no idea when they could deliver. I asked if it would be in the next 7 days and she said not likely and it wouldn't be until at least 10 days out. I asked if she could at least give me some type of date and she said no and wouldn't be able to figure anything out until Monday (while we were talking on Friday morning). Being in a new state with none of my possessions was bad enough. Being treated with no respect and as if it were all my fault made this the worst experience I've ever had with any type of customer service. Moves are stressful enough but these people are the worst in terms of moving companies. I write this as a warning to anyone tempted to use them. If you want to be treated even at a base level as a human being, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I hope nobody ever has to go through the same experience as I have.

After calling several times and already have paid for our deposit I was determined that this would be a good storage unit to keep our things in until we closed on our house. Overall it's a quiet area and we felt our stuff would be safe. They do require either renters insurance or you purchase their own which was not an issue for us. Prices vary based on location. They are not temperature controlled which was fine and they're all on the same level, pull up your car and get things out. We came in on January 5 and plan on getting things out by February 5 so we are charged for the month which is nice. No contracts or mandatory stay unlike others. It's also gated and each person gets their own code to enter. We think this is the best storage unit (location and price was) in the Schenectady/Rotterdam region.
