When I said that's not acceptable because I took time off work for this small job and I still have to go into the office today, they said they didn't care. They are completely unprofessional, do not hire them. Edit: there is nothing rude about me saying that I don't care that you have a busy week because it's not an excuse for missing a 10am appointment. And telling me to have a nice weekend only indicates you aren't paying attention to your calendar and that you are an idiot for blaming me for missing your own scheduled appointment with a customer. You are unprofessional and unreliable. No one should hire you.

Also, our household goods arrived in excellent condition without evidence of shifting, which to me indicates that the driver took great care in hauling the load. On both ends, the drivers also worked to position the trailer in the most advantageous spot for loading and unloading. The three days to load and unload are more than ample if you are organized ahead of time in your planned packing and unpacking. As a final note, everyone I spoke with in making the reservation and throughout the move was professional, personable, and helpful. For me, and possibly for you, U-Pack made my move as stress-free as possible.

We had an issue when it came to delivering our two trailers. They did give us a range of dates that we could expect our trailers to arrive, which was fine. I received an email that stated our trailers would be delivered on Saturday, but I wanted to make sure so I called the distribution center which stated that "no they were not going to be there on Saturday", but expect them on the following Monday. Now I had to hire a forklift at $300 a day and a couple of workers (which I paid) to help unload. Monday came and no trailers, so I called the distribution center again. I was told they would be there Tuesday. When they didn't arrive by noon I called again, and I was told that they would definitely be there Wednesday morning. By 11am on Wednesday I called again and at this point I was told that they would be there around 3ish. It gets dark at 5 so now I have possibly 2 hours to unload and I now have paid 5 days of a forklift and 3 days of help. I called U-Pack directly and after explaining my situation I was given some money back. All in all I was satisfied with everything, except being basically lied to as to when my trailers would be delivered.

Things started out well when they contacted me to tell me their truck had been in an accident that…read moremorning however they were still going to be able to complete the move that day. First they piled boxes and furniture so high in the new location that I could not move around the rooms or move any thing myself. They charged me to come back the next day and move things around so it was more manageable. Then I started noticing all the damage to several pieces of furniture. My furniture had some surface scratches from my cats and child. However there are now gouges and scrapes on the edges of all my tables and the frame fell off the glass from the bottom door of the barrister bookcase. When I contacted the owner as stated in his contract for damaged furniture, he said he was sorry I felt this way , they did a great job and to send him the court date.

I had to call back because the new quote hadn't been sent to my email. Called and confirmed with Tony again and had the quote sent to my email and I signed it. No phone calls to confirm. Movers didn't show up the day of the move after getting the permits for no parking, arranging time off of work and family members to help. They showed up at 3:45 and unloaded an entire cargo van worth of stuff in just about 2 hours. Tom and his crew all wore masks and saved us the strain of lugging furniture up 3 flights of stairs. The entire crew was polite and followed direction well when I asked that certain boxes be placed in specific rooms. The second time we used Tom's service was just as great. We fell in love with some furniture at Home Goods in Latham but their delivery services were astronomically overpriced. Tom quoted us a much better number. He picked up our pieces from Home Goods the same day and delivered them to our apartment the next morning. Everything was in excellent condition. Tom kept me updated as to the fact that he had picked up our stuff and as to his ETA to our home. We paid Tom via venmo and I accidentally overpaid Tom by 100 dollars. I texted Tom immediately and let him know about my error. He assured me it would be taken care of, and a partial refund was given to me later that morning. I'm beyond impressed with Tom's punctuality and professionalism. I would absolutely recommend his services to anyone who needed a dependable set of movers in the capital region.

It honestly pains me to leave a bad review since I believe Tom is a good person, but people need to know to not expect much and to never paid him in advance!
