This place rules! It's more of a guy than an actual place but rules regardless! I've had shirts made here and the service and quality are top notch. He also hooked up some custom vinyl lettering and logos for my vehicle so I got everything I needed all in one place! To the tipster: It's still there. It's not a storefront if that's what you're expecting. It's a shop/workspace in the back that is only accessible from the alley. He usually goes there and does the work then leaves so he doesn't have to just sit there all day and can go about other things etc.. You can usually catch someone there during the day but it's better to just set something up over the phone first. Top notch work BTW! read more

Working with Andy was a breath of fresh air. We had previously gone to a different screen printer who was amazingly unprofessional. We asked for our t-shirts back and decided to give Andy a try after reading all of the positive Yelp reviews that he had. I'm glad we did. For starters, Andy's price was very competitive. In addition, when we met him, he was very friendly and easy to talk to. He took us through the whole screen printing process. We picked the colors we wanted, and he advised us on how they would look with certain fabrics. We left feeling that we could trust Andy and our t-shirts were in good hands. The turnaround was super fast. He took a week to screen print 96 shirts that had 3 different designs with 3 different colors schemes. I am a coach for a friend's franchise and I had been researching local screen printing companies who would be interested in collaborating with us for an upcoming order and for future orders because the existing (now former) shirt vendor is located in Georgia and charges an insane amount for shipping to California. I had been on the hunt for months because not only was I looking for a partner, I was also hoping that someone would be able to price match with what the Georgia vendor charges; this would be considered an "out of the door rate" to include the cost of the shirt, screen print, and tax. I found someone in the La Mesa area but after providing the logo we wanted printed, I was told that it would need work. The upside was that they offered to redesign the shirt, but when they did, it appeared that they simply combined 4 sets of images in 2 rows, which was not what we were hoping for, especially from a graphic designer. After I gave this company a week, I followed up decided to use just 1 image for our order. I asked for a mock up of what the shirt will look like once it's printed, but again was told that they couldn't do it. In addition, what we did not realize was that La Mesa is "1 of 80 cities in San Diego County with a distinct sales tax as listed by the California Board of Equalization," (http://california-sales-tax-rate.insidegov.com/l/808/La-Mesa). Therefore, even though they were able to price match, the total cost including taxes equaled the same amount as shipping costs from Georgia to California. I was determined to make this screen printing partnership happen and marketed to 11 other companies in San Diego hoping that I could find someone who could help with a new order of about 460 shirts and future orders totaling 500 youth shirts, twice a year. I emailed Andy mid-August asking if he would be willing to accommodate us with a best and final "out the door" price along with other detailed questions. He responded that same day within hours of my email being sent and gave me all of the answers I needed and wanted. From there, he was prompt, patient, and easy-going. I am so glad we work with Andy, he was a blessing and a true partner. Andy told me plainly and simply the reason why the original image we wanted wouldn't have worked; which was fine. The difference between Andy and the other company was that I was just told "No, it wouldn't work." Andy helped me to see the logic between the image and why printing that exact image on a shirt isn't ideal. He even asked for additional images and logos so that he could review and possibly come up with something. That same day he sent over 8 different options with their pricing. Andy is absolutely incredible; not only did he help our budget to price match, but he offered a suggestion which would enhance the image on the shirts! He is a miracle worker, who seems to truly care about quality and customer service. Andy is definitely a master in his trade and if I couldn't praise him enough, he was 5 days ahead of schedule. I am in awe and in shock (good shock) of the outcome. I am grateful to have found Andy and appreciate everything he's done for my friends and me. I needed to print something on a tie for a gift. Andy wasn't sure if he could silk screen a silk tie, but he was willing to accept the challenge. He did his research and unfortunately he couldn't, he didn't want to ruin the tie. That didn't stop him, he dug into his contacts to find an embroiderer for me.
