After much searching for a shirt printing shop I decided to go with AKA. These guys are awesome! Seriously, I don't write too many reviews but I walked in on a Saturday afternoon with a few of my own shirts for my new project and they were ready by noon on Tuesday. Jason was a straight up guy and their quality is also really good. Not to mention their prices were so much better than other shops around town. All in all, check these guys out. You will not regret it. read more

I had a vendor that let me down really badly. I had a convention in Las Vegas starting Tuesday and by the end of Friday, no product. I went to AKA on Saturday and worked on an alternative with Javier. I was so stressed but he was super calm and extremely helpful. He worked with me in preparation and set himself up to start knocking this out first thing Monday morning. Sure enough, as promised, I had 300 items of the customized swag in hand a couple hours later. No fuss, no issues. Just brilliant service and and excellent quality workmanship! I can't recommend AKA highly enough! read more

I fucking hate YELP... but for AKA I am happy to post a review. Epic from the word go I met these people in Vegas at a trade show. They threw an offer on the table and I took them up on it. Contact was quick, the work is quality, and they are super cool. As for my disdain for this site... word of mouth should be enough... trust in AKA ... I will be back for sure. read more

A few years ago, I was in the back of the cool bus and this skinny little otter named Suavi rolled up to me. With a sparkle of hypnotism in his eyes and a sly grin that he inherited from the devil; he told me "you know....if our eyes never lock, none of this ever happened." And I believed him. I am a sucker. But...that meeting has benefited. That little coffee skinned otter is part of the talented AKA team. They did my handkerchiefs for me and honestly, I was amazed that these bastards did a way better job than my other professional contacts. Handkerchiefs aren't an easy print. The guys at AKA printed them perfectly. Seriously. They have my business from now on. Shirts, knives, handkerchiefs, record covers. They got it. My Chula connections weren't happy with my decision until I showed them the work. They said, "Yeah, go to them. That shit is tight as f*ck." read more

Sometimes you have jobs that need to be done at the last minute and Javi and the crew saved me. I needed some t-shirts screened for our film to wear at Comic-Con and they were able to do it for me quickly, efficiently and a great price. Since this was a rush job for me, I got the T-shirts myself and just brought them in to get the logo silkscreened and our shirts done 2 days before the Film Festival. The final product was excellent. It highlighted our small film but at the same time, provided our audience a guide to who our wonderful Mascot was, Mr. Raindrop. We only needed a small batch but Javi was willing to work with us. Hopefully as the we need more shirts upcoming, we will order a bigger volume but his flexibility helped this Film Producer out of a jam. Thanks AKA, I am definitely recommending you to eveyrone I know who might need your service. Except as busy as they are, I will tell them to make sure there is lead time. But as always ask Javi and Jason and they will let you know if they can or cannot do it upfront in your time frame. Thanks Guys, until next time. read more

For me it's all about communication, and customer service. I don't have anything clever to say, I just know that being a very small business of one I was happy to find someone that would make me a small number of shirts and not charge me an outrageous amount of money. Jason responded quickly to my emails and didn't make me feel uncomfortable when I asked a ton of questions. He communicated that the tank tops I originally wanted wouldn't be available in time for my event and had a back up plan in place. I'm so excited about the shirts, they are soft and simple Just perfect. Thanks again AKA, I'm happy to give you my business. -Kim with Hair Love Design read more

This review is solely based on the wonderful art that has come from both Javi & JFeather! Brilliant and Talented are they! The Art and Music that was donated to different auctions on my behalf , was fantastic. Words cannot express the gratitude and appreciation I have for them and for AKA. JFeather & Javi are exquisite artists. They take pride in their work and it shows. Too step up and give pieces that took time , consideration, and that are just really bad-ass is a testament to their selflessness and awesomeness. I feel honored to own a piece of art that was created, donated, auctioned off , sold and then given to me as a gift! I get complimented on it every time I have company over to the new house. It feels great to be rebuilding my art collection piece by piece, slowly and steadily, and to already have obtained something from AKA is just way rad! If I could give AKA fifty million trillion bahdillion stars I totally would! Instead my heart is now forever indebted to them, AKA and the Industry Bastards. Much Love and a Ginormous Thanks to the Both of you! read more

I had a specialty order done for halloween, Javi made me and my dad coveralls with Vamenos Pests emblems. I dropped them off on a monday and boom they were done that weekend. I'll be back soon to pick up so Indusrty Bastards gear, all the cool kidds are. read more

I've got two of their tees and have given others as gifts around the globe (well, Canada anyway. That counts, right?) These guise really know how to screen print the shit outta some shirts. And they look good doing it. Me-Ow! That Javi fella is one fine piece of Latin man meat. Plus he's a true professional, unburdened by sleeves (or distractions), who delivers a product on time and within the specified budget. He even helped design a shirt for my friends bday that painted a beautiful portrait of the things that make my buddy a giant bag o' dicks. 5 stars all around! Pro-tip: AKA will remove the sleeves of any shirt you request to accommodate these warm San Diego days. Bc sleeves are for pussies. read more

I'd say about a quarter of my tees and tanks wardrobe was forged from the press of AKA and affiliates. I'd seen Javi and Jason selling their stuff at events around North Park and would often make a purchase - not only because I liked the designs but also because of the quality materials they use. I'm always happy when an AKA shirt is at the top of my T-shirt pile, because I know I am gonna be comfy all day. My favorites are my kitty shirts and my tanks during the summer time. I liked the shirts so much that eventually I asked Javi about making some T-shirts for a company that I work with and he processed my order quickly and got me exactly what I wanted. I did a smaller run to be on the safe side, since I wasn't sure how many people would want them, and am about to put in another order because the ones I brought in went so quick. If I could think of any critique or constructive criticism, I would say that they really should print more Cat Flag shirts, because the one I got was white and I'm gonna be bummed when it get's the inevitable stain - probably from a burrito. So far I've been really careful though cos it's like my favorite shirt. So yeah, print more Cat Flag shirts but not too many and maybe on some tanks too cos summer is coming up. read more

I was sitting at the bar the other night, next to a spectacular older gentleman, who could only realistically be described as "gnarly." His beard was white and down to about his waist, his hair was stringy and styled similarly to Friar Tuck. As he turned to me he said, "What the hell is on yer shirt boy?" His breath was terrible and he had three teeth. "It's an armadillo." I replied. "An armadillo? Kids these days, with their skinny jeans, stupid mustaches, and comb overs, they are all filler." His breath wasn't getting any better, but I know an intellectual when I speak with one. "Filler? I believe you have me mistaken with some bicycle riding, craft beer drinking, stylish snob! Perhaps you failed to notice the corn Cobb pipe said armadillo is smoking. This my good man is 100% killer." After that it was all shots of Buffalo Trace and sophistication. As I was about to leave the gnarly old man said, "you know what kid, I'd love to have that shirt! Let me trade you something for it." Before I could respond he reached in his mouth and pulled out one third of his remaining tooth. Blood and salvia went all over the bar. I examined the tooth closely, next to a human ear it's probably the best thing to make a necklace out of. I looked at the old man and could tell he had bad knees, so I clasped the tooth in my hand and sprinted out the door. To this day I wear that Industry Bastards shirt and my single tooth necklace everyday. read more
