When I returned, the daughter "owner" confronted me as to why I was returning after my 2017 Google review (see attached for my original review.) Although I felt like this was an unwelcoming return, I explained to her that I was hoping that the kinks of the new ownership has been worked out and I was willing to give them another try. Her attititude didn't change...still unfriendly, unprofessional and unwelcoming. Being in a customer service role, a more appropriate reply would have been, "Welcome back, we hope to serve you better." Clearly, I was expecting too much. Several visits later, I was approached by the mother of this girl (I assume the owner of the salon) asking the same question. I explained the initial incident with her daughter from the years prior. She responded very apologetically for her daughter's behavior and explained that she was "young and immature with a mouth on her back then, but since then she became a mother and has matured." I responded that being a mother of a mouthy daughter myself, I can totally relate and we laughed it off. In my opinion, this was resolved and I accepted her apology on behalf of her daughter's behavior. This week, I went into the salon to purchase a month tanning package. As I was leaving the salon, I was approached by an old man sitting on a chair by the exit door (later to learn that he was the husband/father of the family that work at the salon). He asked me "Can I ask you something?" I responded cheerfully "sure". (Thinking that he was just a jolly old man going to ask me something about the area, tell me a joke, etc.) To my surprise, he said, "If you gave us a bad review, why are you coming here?" I was caught off guard, because I have never seen this man before today and thought that this issue was resolved. I explained to him that my previous review was written 5-6 years ago after a bad experience upon their new ownership, but that it was resolved. He began insisting that I take it down. Within minutes, all three (Mother, Daughter and Dad) were verbally attacking me in the lobby for giving the salon a "bad review" on socal media. I asked the purpose of this conversation, and the mom said "because the review still exist but I can't ask you to remove it." I explained that my review was an honest review, but if she was wanting me to remove it, then she could have simply asked me to do so or ask me to respond with an updated review with my current satisfaction. She stated that as a business owner that she isn't allowed to ask me to remove it, yet the husband was insisting that it be taken down or get a refund and go elsewhere. In my opinion, the effective way of asking me for a positive post would be "If you are happy with our services today, we would love to hear an update on Google." I refuse to be bullied to take down an honest review, especially after seeing nothing has changed with their customer service! I still remain honest and today's review is warranted. The customer service is extremely unfriendly and pricing is high! Ultimately, I took the offer from the old man to refund me my purchase today. My hard earned money will get spent elsewhere! I would drive to Florida to get a tan before I step a foot into this salon again. I highly recommend any other local salon to experience friendly and professional service. Specials are offered at other local salons..so, pricing is more reasonable too. To be honest, the ONLY reason I gave Tiki Tan Fishers another chance was because of convenience to the east side of Fishers. Let's face it, driving an extra 5 minutes for a relaxing tan is worth it! Enter Tiki Tan Fishers at your own risk...this family is brutal, yet cowardly to verbally attack one woman in their lobby. Intimidation didn't work on me...I will take my business elsewhere and conitnue to provide honest feedback to our community. Reading the other 1 Star Reviews on both Yelp and Google supports my opinion on this establishment.

I was really excited because I've been so down about my hair and I had a wedding coming up on Saturday and was really excited to look pretty. I'm crying as I write this because if you know what it's like to be done dirty by a salon then you know. It sucks. It beats you down. Hair is so important to me and so I was so excited. I felt like I finally was going to get beautiful hair again. Wrong. The night before my appointment I was so excited, I checked in online and while I was checking in I noticed a different name than the high level dimensional brunette stylist I extensively researched. I knew then that it was happening again and I was about to be shoved over. I called the next morning and sure enough, they switched the stylist to a different lower level stylist (who I'm sure is great) who doesn't specialize in what I wanted because the stylist I wanted had scheduled someone else and no longer had time for my spot. No call, no text. Just switched me. Maybe if they would've given me the courtesy of letting me know early I could've rescheduled for a time before the wedding. But no. Day of appointment when I called they informed me that they moved me and she would not have any time to see me. I informed them that I scheduled in advance and that the wedding was Saturday. They did not care. They said they would "make a note for next time" whatever that means, idk how that would help since the wedding will be long over and I can promise you I will never be going back. I feel like once again I as a customer and a person am so unimportant.

I also already paid through Groupon and am seriously hoping to get a refund because I do not want to get stood up for a hair appointment again. Update: After the issues last Saturday, Kristen did contact me to truly apologize and offer to set up a second appointment if I was willing. I went this evening and she did an amazing job adding gorgeous color with Balayage and cut my hair just how I wanted. Not everyone is great with curly hair but she did a fantastic job and had some great tips for me about styling and products (only when I asked, she wasn't trying to push anything on me).

The owner was extremely reluctant to see the problem from another person's point of view & stood firm on her pricing with a sense of entitlement. Apparently, she's very proud of the mediocre work that comes out of her shop & demands full payment, even if that means ripping off customers. And never once were we expecting a free or discounted service. We just wanted to pay what was fair for the low-quality that was given. I found them to be very unprofessional, unreasonable, hostile and overall a huge lack of customer service skills. Continuously talking over people in a louder voice doesn't make your claim any stronger or correct. Instead of turning a negative to positive experience to create a repeat customer, the owner opted to give major attitude to a senior customer with broken English, knowing there was a lack of communication on your businesses behalf and that was disappointing. Very ghetto, to say the least. If you're going to charge premium pricing, a premium service needs to follow. No one in their right mind can look at these sad nails & genuinely feel they got their money's worth.

The lady heard me and told me the first tan was free, and then showed me that I can sign up for texts and get another free tan. There was no mention of memberships or pricing or anything. I signed my little waiver and within 5 minutes got into a bed. She also gave me her recommendations, as I burn super easily, and I actually didn't come out burnt! It was super clean and I really liked the vibe of the room! Solely because of this treatment, I'll never go to another tanning salon, and I'm more than happy to come back often and pay full price! I wanted combo style but she recommended shaded. I like how she mapped the shape out. But at the end they were Huge. Absolutely too big and solid black. I understand they calm down but it took weeks for them to fade. I told her I was freaking out about how big and black they were many times. She only kept pushing I book my 6week touch up. I said no I'm uncomfortable with you doing anything else on me. It's been mutiple months now thankfully they have calmed down a lot but I still have a red outline around them! Fully outlined and basically nothing in the middle. I regret paying her outrageous prices and just being pushed through the processes like it's no big deal. It is- its my face!
