Car broke down on 128/93: Friday night,i called aaa, they sent a clown in a pick up truck after a two hour wait while i waited on the side of the hwy with no heat. Refused to let me sit n his truck to wait for a real tow truck, warm up and be safe. About an hour later the second guy shows up with a tow truck that I was assured by Aaa would tow me home..., but no, he can only tow me off the hwy. This afternoon, I left my headlights on and my battery died. I called AAA and was told there would be a response within 35 minutes...and there was! I was very impressed with the professionalism, helpfulness, and manners shown by the young man who helped me this afternoon. After running some diagnostics, it was determined that I needed a new battery. I was expecting this since I received warnings from my mechanic before. I was hooked up with a new battery and on my way to work without any hassle and in a timely efficient manner. Yesterday was the second time in a little over a month that this company saved my ^%#. Five weeks ago my drivetrain went and I was stuck in a busy intersection in Braintree, they sent this awesome guy who was super professional and FAST! Then yesterday, my tire blew out on the 93 after hitting a pothole, I was able to get off the highway to somewhere safe thankfully because I had my six month old in the car. AAA estimated 45 minutes or more but when the call went out, the gentleman that had towed me before recognized the car over the radio and he was there in less than thirty minutes!! My car died in my driveway. I called for a jumpstart from AAA. Within 10 minutes, Express Towing came. The technician Jay was the best. He was friendly, efficient and had good advice. Absolutely crooked! AAA uses them and will send them out. AAA will not care when you call them for help because your new battery they put in your car only lasted 6 days. The battery cost you $168.93 and they will tell you its warranted for 3 years. IT'S NOT. But for an additional $75 AAA will send them back out to service it. But all of a sudden they don't service my town? Hmmmm they did when they sold me the bad battery? Also the kid that did the install I was told worked for them and he had their name on the paper work. The tow truck driver was SO RUDE. Didn't really bother to greet us when he arrived. He left the E-brake on while pulling my car onto the truck bed, and when my fiance released, it he was very very rude to him (my fiance works with cars for a living, and I trust that he knew the best course of action). He kept looking at him and shaking his head at us. When he wanted a AAA card, just yelled "who has the card?" and then went and got in his truck. I got the card out, and waited a few moments for him to get back out of the truck, but he just sat in his truck and made a grabbing motion out the window. He verified the address, didnt really say goodbye or anything, and left. I am not confident that he has not done damage to my brakes- at least I didn't sign anything releasing him from liability if he HAS damaged anything. Just got cut off and pushed to the sidewalk by one of their long flat bed trucks (Plate #162 AP) on Quincy Shore Drive at Shore Ave where it goes from two to one lane. Followed him but he speeded up more and ran a red light to get away. We Called the dispatcher and then followed up. He said he spoke to the driver and that was it. Never use Express Towing. I was in a car accident and the police arranged for Express Towing to pick up my car and keep it on their lot. I sold the car and had it towed to the new owner. When it arrived, there was mud all inside. An Express Towing employee had rummaged throughout the entire car helping themselves to the emergency kit in the back, jack and tools, personal items out of the glove box and more. Also their fees are ridiculous. They charge a $108 "gate fee" and other miscellaneous fees that drove my bill up to close to $500! When I called to speak to management, I got an arrogant woman on the phone that tried to say the new owner stole the items and had no justification for the "gate fee" and hung up on me. On Wednesday February 27TH, 2019 my car wouldn't start as my daughter and I were leaving the dentist. I called AAA (first time ever in all the years I've been driving) the operator told me a driver would arrive within 40 minutes. She also asked me if I would like him to bring a battery with my car being almost 5 years old. I declined thinking my "car only had 30,000 miles on it why would I need a battery?" Totally clueless here! With it being only 19 degrees out we decided to wait inside the dentist as it was freezing in the car. I got a text from AAA with an app so I could see where the driver was! In the meantime I spoke to my husband who told me I should have said yes to the battery! Too late I thought as by looking at the app the driver was already on his way! He promptly arrived right before the 40 minutes. He introduced himself as Thomas from Express Towing In Weymouth, Mass. contracted through AAA. He greeted my daughter and I with a smile and we were just as happy to see him! I explained the situation with the battery and he told me no problem! That he came equipped with all sorts of batteries if that was indeed the issue with my car. I was elated. He opened up the hood, got his equipment and began to describe what he was going to do to get my car started all in a kind and courteous manner. He politely asked me if I could turn a few things on inside my car to assist him and he came over to the window during the process to explain things to me as he went along so I would understand what he was doing and made sure he answered any questions about the diagnostic testing so there wouldn't be any confusion. After the battery was charged he gave me the option of going to a gas station to get a full charge. Not one time did he ever try to force a sale of a battery on me. I asked him if the new battery was still an option, and he said "only if you want it?" And I told him I did if he didn't mind putting it in. He smiled and said that was his job! Thomas was one of the nicest people I have dealt with in a very long time! He was polite, kind, courteous and an all around genuine nice guy! The way the world is these days you don't always deal with kind people. Thomas has made a lasting impression with me. My husband is a first responder (Boston Police Officer) who works non stop! He truly appreciates that battery install the most! It meant he didn't have to run around on one of his rare days off and buy and install a battery! Thomas, you are truly an asset to your profession! 1 Star = WAY TOO MUCH. They were hired by Budget to come get my rental car and exchange it. Waited for hours, and communication was terrible. I called to find out what happened and she said she would call the driver and get back to me. Never heard back. Called Budget to find out they (Express Towing) had cancelled the service and had not bothered to call and inform me. This is not so much a review of their service as it is the attitude. Every time one of these guys pulls up behind me they are tailing me. I am not a slow driver myself and typically drive about 10Mph over the limit, and these guys ride me until they have a chance to pass which when they do they floor it typically going I would assume 50-60Mph on back roads to my 45Mph where the limit is 30 right through school zones as well. They are out of sight or riding the person in front of me in no time. I also pass their facility every morning where are located on a giant road, they love to block traffic by backing their trucks in in stead of backing in like most people would believe me when I say space in not a restriction in this area. Obviously courtesy is not their strong point, and they just want to get to what they have to do next, and nothing else matters but them. You won't be seeing "How's my driving" stickers on these trucks, because it's terrible. Sure it's a dirty, miserable task, but it doesn't give you the right to drive like Justin Beiber. People like them make me want to take up criminal justice so that one day I can just pull them over for being incompetent drivers. read more

It can be done, The company will tell you the vehicle needs to come to their yard first not true, This is so they can ram the charges up your rear end. So a 1 mile tow casted over $300 dollars to their yard when Bob's collision was right around the Conner, So anyone that this has happened too file a complaint with the Department Public utilities, about the practices of this company enough complaints to get something done. Then call the insurance fraud department as your insurance company pays the bill maybe so fraud here, then file a complaint with the attorney generals office, about this companies practice writing a review really dosent go anywhere when enough people complain then maybe something will be done. This shall include: (a) a bus or van used in commerce, having the manufacturer's rated seating capacity of at least nine passengers and a driver; (b) a truck used to transport property; or (c) any other vehicle which may display a plate other than a passenger or motorcycle plate. Fuel-burning Operations. The services included in the basic tow rate, rate for tows in excess of five miles or the charges otherwise established in sections 220 CMR 272.03(1) through (4). Passenger Automobile. A motor vehicle capable of transporting not more than eight passengers and a driver displaying a passenger or motorcycle plate. Recovery. Wrecker working, winching, Waiting Time, clean up time and the provisions of special equipment needed to place a disabled motor vehicle in position to be towed. Service Vehicle. The vehicle used to tow or transport the disabled vehicle. Service or Waiting Time. The young man with the black hat, Batman, was very professional and very courteous. Complete joke of a company. I call AAA and Guy pulls up in front of the car that was getting towed and calls me but I'm on the phone with the hospital. I assume he's just going to start putting the car on the truck or he would come to the door or send a text if he needed anything...that would be no and no. He leaves and tells me to call the office. I call they said they only need to wait 5 minutes and then they can leave. So customer service definitely isn't at the top of their priority list. When I asked the name of the tow company the little girl who is most likely the owners spoiled little daughter says it doesn't matter what the business name is. And they wonder why they have the worst reputation. I'm glad I'm in an industry I can take business from them. Absolutely DISGUSTED. In a parking lot I used to turn around, I slid into a 8" drift. Called Aaa, they never called me back to confirm. A tow truck shows up and says " it's not covered, "$100". In a snowstorm with my son... I was horrified and a nervous that this driver did not identify himself or that he was AAA SERVICE. I usually get a call from AAA confirming and an estimated time. When I went to my car to get the $100 cash, and confirm that this was the company sent (I had called 3 other companies maybe closer and told them each my location), and not just some company coming to rob or hurt me, the driver came to m kids window and said "hundred bucks". I told him I was calling to verify and he said " f--ing see you later", turned around and left us here in a snow storm!!! I would avoid using this company at alllllllll costs. They are unprofessional, rude, intimidating and I would NEVER expect to be stranded by a company sent to help us. I had a great experience with Express Towing this morning. I came outside this morning to a flat tire on the front right passenger side of my car. AAA informed me that Express Towing would arrive within an hour and they were there in less than 30 minutes. The Driver was extremely professional, efficient and friendly despite the early morning hour. There was no issue changing the tire and he even insured that there was adequate pressure in the spare so there wouldn't be any issues driving on it until I could get the tire changed. I woke up to find a flat tire on a Sunday, right before Hurricane Sandy was supposed to hit. I couldn't figure out how to access my spare, so I called AAA. Within fewer than 7 minutes, Express Towing was at my front door! I think the gentleman's name was Kyle. He introduced himself to me, was tremendously careful with my car, and took such care in accessing my spare---he even made sure everything was put back where it belonged after! In less than 20 minutes, my tire was changed, everything put back, and he even put the flat tire in my car--suggesting an old towel or blanket underneath because it was raining and the tire was muddy.
