I showed up yesterday (Friday) at 2:30pm for a 2:40pm appointment for TSA PreCheck enrollment. The check-in line was around 8 or 9 people deep. I finally made it to the front to check in at 2:54pm and was handed a little card with the time handwritten on it. I was told to go sit and wait and that the TSA person would come out looking at people's "time" cards to see who was next. There was a couple already waiting when I sat down, and they ended up leaving because they couldn't wait any longer. I was finally seen by the TSA woman at 3:32. Started the process online at RMV website then a half hour at AAA - done! Customer service was A+ all around from check-in to getting my ID. Comfy chairs to wait in and the office was spotless. Check in tells you to pull up a paystub, and sit on stand by which is an hour wait. When it's your turn, that person says you need hard copies of documents (bills or pay stubs-it's 2025, everything is electronic). Wasted day off. Went in a few weeks ago to renew my license. The place wasn't very busy but there was a short line. The first woman I spoke to was a little curt but no biggie. I was directed to go to a different counter. While standing there an elderly woman came in and walked past the line and asked a few simple questions. I have no idea why it is so hard to get an appointment for this place. There were 3 of us??? Also Why would a valid US Passport NOT be valid proof for a new Drivers license. Maybe is a state thing, I haven't seen my SSC card in 20 years and they want one for the new Drivers License (again, my passport wasn't good enough????). We have the Premier AAA card. We usually go to the AAA in Naples or Fort Myers, FL. where the service is fantastic at both places. The Rockland Office is not even close to good. We made an appointment and went in for help with a route to Florida and hotel accommodations. We got called 15 minutes past our appointment time. We explained what we wanted to do. The answer was, "I don't recommend hotels, and I don't do Trip Tics. You can get a Trip Tic online or at the counter". We would have had to stand in line with the people wanting to get licenses renewed. They were turning people away that wanted to renew their license without an appointment by the minute. Most of the chairs were occupied by people with appointments to get their licenses renewed. If they have that many people wanting to renew their license, why don't they get a larger space or a place specifically designated for license renewals? The space is not large enough to accommodate the volume of people that want their services. read more

Called yesterday when my vehicle wouldn't start a day off so they came and I wanted a new battery he disagreed and jumped it - half hour charge and it's good to go. Today I go to go to the job - RN during a pandemic- and car won't start sure enough battery dead . Called AAA - earliest they can provide roadside assistance is Tuesday morning today is Saturday. That's unacceptable and will result in us canceling out our premier membership. read more

Last Saturday I stopped by to renew my driver's license. No appointment needed. Earlier that same morning I had been foiled by the RMV website which was not operational. What a surprise. But here at the Rockland AAA, the moment I walked in I was greeted and assisted by a very friendly woman. She handed me the proper form to fill out, happily accepted it from me when I had completed it, and pointed to a chair where I was to wait until I was called. I was thrilled to pieces when less than 10 minutes later my name was called whereupon I was greeted by a very pleasant clerk. Within another mere 10 minutes I had my temporary license renewal and off I went. I am happy to be a AAA member and happy that I didn't actually have to deal with the Massachusetts RMV. Remarkably simple to renew my license here. On arrival, I was greeted by an exceptionally courteous receptionist who provided the renewal form and directed me to the appropriate desk. The renewal process was quick and easy. The whole visit took less than 20 minutes - maybe less than 15. I'll note that I visited around 11:30 on the first Saturday of the month. There was no one ahead of me at the license desk. I don't know if that's typical. read more

Grumpy & abrupt. Called to inquire about obtaining foreign currency for several countries. Agent was very abrupt. My local bank (Rockland Trust) offers the same rate of exchange & the same fee structure. PLUS my bank carries the currency in a branch 15 minutes away - vs- AAA having to order & ship the funds. Extremely unimpressed. Went there for help planning a trip to Italy. As we sat waiting, one of the agents says to the other "you can take it, you're checking out in a month anyway". Um, ok. Anyway, the agent we met with was very nice, very knowledgeable and I left there excited that what she was going to put together would be great. Few days later we get the itinerary and price. Roughly $13,000 for our family of 3 for 10 days. Too much. We asked if she could itemize things so we could see what we could possibly change and to try different dates, hotels or whatever it took to get the price down. Her reply was basically "sorry, maybe cut out Rome". No itemized expenses, no other dates or hotel options, nothing. So, on to Liberty Travel! Everything we wanted, including nonstop flights, airport transport, the tours we wanted and the beautiful Hilton hotel in Sorrento all for $7,200. Mind blown! And we had the price right then and there. Thanks for wasting our time and almost our money AAA! So happy we did our homework to know she apparently just didn't care about her job anymore. Do your research so your dreams don't get dashed, or your money wasted, because someone is too lazy to do their job. read more

Wait time is ridiculous, i had my in person class d permit safety class and have been on a waiting list for a year to scedual driving hours, I finally got ahold of two driving hours and they decide to cancel one without any notice, and I am now still waiting of This list to have the driving hours competed and even when they are available they get filled instantly like people are just sitting on their computer all day to watch the list fill up instantly, a system should be in place where it goes by age and the older you are the sooner you see the hours available read more

This is one of the best AAA offices I have been to! The staff is very friendly and ready to help you with any AAA-related questions you may have. It is a full service office, meaning they have a member services department who will help with maps, hotel reservations, and driving directions, a full service travel agency that has booked all kinds of trips from Disney World to the Galapagos Islands, a loan specialist, and car insurance agents. They are open on Saturdays from 9-1, but they are usually packed that day so if you can come in during the week you're saving yourself a lot of time. read more

Well Last monday,car wouldn't start. Called AAA at 10:30am,,Was told 45 min. Well almost an hr n half,called back again. Wasnt feeling well.ws told I could an eta. Another 1/2 went buy. now its 1:30pm. When the young man arrived,he was Fabulous,said he never got this call until 11:30. He also told me,he couldn't start it,it needed to be towed,another 1hr wait. I had not been to a AAA location in years. I was greeted by friendly, knowledgeable people that were extremely helpful. I received all the maps and travel guides I needed. Very disappointed that the AAA travel service is limited to the person at the desk opening the tour book and reading from it. No recommendations because "they" have never been there. Didn't want to execute triptik cuz traveling in June. Total lack of customer service. I guess unless you are purchasing a trip from them there is no travel assistance /recommendations s available.
