Avoid This Place at All Costs…read more I have gone to Take 5 Oil Change multiple times, trusting them to do something as basic as an oil change. Turns out that was a huge mistake. They never once told me there was a problem, and I've now found out that they failed to replace my oil cap--a plastic cap that is REQUIRED to be replaced at every oil change. This isn't optional, and any competent technician should know that. Because of their negligence, I'm now dealing with mechanical issues that could have been completely avoided. Now I'm stuck taking my car to a mechanic and spending God knows how much money fixing damage that never should have happened in the first place. All because Take 5 either didn't know what they were doing or didn't care enough to do it correctly. This is not a minor oversight. This is basic vehicle maintenance, and they failed--repeatedly. If you value your car, your money, or your peace of mind, do not trust this place. I absolutely regret ever going there and will never be back.

The representative Johnny gave me a price quote and told me to bring the vehicle in on Tuesday since they were booked for the weekend and it was Friday Brought my vehicle in on Tuesday morning i was greeted by Tiffany who was working the customer service desk. After a further discussion into what I was wanting to do, it was recommended that a technician look at transmission fluid since the vehicle had 112,000 miles on it and the fluid had never been changed. After the technician looked at the fluid, it was determined that I probably shouldn't drain it and certainly not have it flushed out as it could cause problems. Current, I have no issues with the transmission so it was not changed. I appreciated the honesty and very timely check. I also was greeted early on by another associate Madeline, who was very friendly and was going about her assigned work as well.. This shop is busy, but they took time out for each customer and my brief experience was pleasant.

AMMCO sorta diagnosis the problem was transmission cooler line came disconnected. They reattached the lines and said everything was fine with the transmission. Turns out everything was not fine. The transmission was leaking. My normal mechanic pointed out the leak a day later. I was told by AMMCO they did a thorough inspection. If the inspection took place they would have caught the leak along with several other things that needed attention. I would give 0 stars but that is not an option.

At my most…read morerecent oil change I also had an engine light that had come on the day before so, I asked if they could run a code check to see what was going on. They were fairly busy so I had to wait a little while but, it was no big deal. Eventually the mechanic came out and asked me a couple of questions. It turned out that the code was for a minor emission and he believed it to be the gas cap no longer sealing. He said he could run some additional tests but, he really felt it was just the gas cap so he wanted to save me the fees of the additional diagnostics. He reset the code, said if it came on again to call and they'd order the cap and replace that to see if it resolved the issue. On top of that, because of my "long wait" and the minor information he found out, he waived the $75 diagnostic fee. It wasn't necessary but, such great customer service and I was so grateful! The light did end up coming on again and I had it replaced today and they only charged me for the parts! As a woman who doesn't know a lot about cars, they could have easily taken advantage of me as other mechanics have done in the past. Or tried to sell me on the more intensive services but, this whole scenario proves to me that they just don't work that way! I'll sing their praises to anyone! Thank you 4J!
