This business is lying to customers to try and charge them more: I went for an oil change and state inspection. The male attendant advised that my vehicle only accepts synthetic oil (false). After asking him to confirm, I advised that I would get my oil change at the dealership instead. The female attendant then completed my inspection, and she falsely claimed my windshield wipers were cracked and non functional. She charged me for a failed inspection and tried to tell me I had to buy windshield wipers to pass. I took my vehicle to the dealership where I bought it, and they passed my inspection without changing wipers, and they changed my oil (conventional). read more

I went here last week to get my car. Inspected a new car 2019 in great shape and they failed us claiming that our rear rotors were scored, our brakes grinding and skipping. Which I immediately knew was likely completely untrue and so I called My Husband and he agrees with me as well. So it's a young girl who's probably 20 and they're slamming on the brakes in their parking lot and there's little tiny rocks all over the place which was literally the noise I was standing outside, and I heard exactly what was happening. They told us that we need a new rear rotors and rear brake pads. They were happy to get us a quote. About a week later we decided to try a inspection place in San Marcos and our car passed. The man doing the inspection, said that they were full of it and there's absolutely nothing wrong with either the brake pads or the rotors. He mentioned that Jiffy Lube might have gotten in trouble with the state over an inspection issues so now they're failing vehicles over any little thing or they're just trying to make a sale, conveniently, I noticed that Jiffy Lube services breaks also.. I've been to this location with three or four vehicles and I've never had an issue. In fact, I had good experiences in the past and that's why I came back. So maybe different staff now? I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. They failed our inspection when we definitely shouldn't have failed. They also tried to tell me that I could only go to them if it's within the next 15 days. Basically that we're locked down to them, which clearly wasn't the case. We got the car inspected elsewhere. What it is is if you get your car inspected with them in next 15 days you don't have to pay $7 again. You're not locked down to that inspection center for 15 days like they tried to tell me. read more

I've been to this location before but it has really gone down hill. Called to check stock on parts and the kid that answered the phone took 5 minutes just to figure out what vehicle I had. I even gave him the part numbers as I usually do the maintenance myself but don't want to do it this time. He was rude, acted like calling was the biggest annoyance in his life he ever had. He ended up abruptly shouting bye and hanging up the phone before ever telling me if the parts were in stock. Came in for just an oil change and new rear brakes they asked for 2 hours but ended up taking 6 hours, i tried calling in twice with no answer so I had to show up myself to see what was happening, got my car back and everything seemed fine. When i got home i noticed they forgot to put one of the plastic lug nut covers back on my wheel so I had to drive back for it, annoying. Overall poor communication and incredibly long for a job they claimed would take 2 hours. read more

What?!? 5 stars?!? Yes. This place, yes. I wish I would have paid more attention to the names of the workers here. I came in now a couple times, for an oil chance, a tire issue and for my registration. Every time I've gone to any place I get a pit in my stomach knowing I'm about to be told my whatever is broken and the thingy-ma-bopper is about to go out so it's $250. Plus I usually get spoken to like I'm a toddler. Not here, the service was quick, and I wasn't offered or pressured to buy anything, and my technicians have always been so nice. Most importantly they've been consistent. I am sooooo glad about that you have no idea. At most I've been there 30 mins. After such crappy experiences anywhere else, I can't even say enough about this place. Good job guys! read more

I had my truck serviced in July at this location. When I paid for the service, the mechanic stated that their credit card system was down and he would have to make a manual entry. I provided him all of my credit card info, including expiration date and CVV number. 2 days ago, upon checking my credit card statement, I noticed there was a charge for 419 dollars from same Jiffy Lube on 8 November. I have received no services from them since July, so this was obviously a fraudulent charge. I called the shop to get some information and was told that someone made the charge telephonically and he was trying to find a recording of the call. He said he would call me back and never did. His answer seemed very questionable to me. I'm not accusing the business of fraud but it sure seems highly suspicious. I would advise others to avoid this business so that they don't possibly end up in the same situation. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and also filed a report with the local police department. read more

I haven't come here for anything other than a vehicle registration. Each time I've come, I was in and out. I don't remember who helped me last year but this time, Jeff helped me. Before I could get out the car, he was at my driver door ready to start the inspection. He was very courteous and waited patiently while I unloaded my two littles from their car seats. I will continue to come to this location for as long as we're living in New Braunfels for all of our vehicle inspection needs. On July 31, 2023, I took my car for an oil change at the only Jiffy lube store in town. Upon arrival, I was the only client at 11:00 am. I gave my keys to the technician, and left with a friend who picked me up. I returned at 1: 40 pm. I approached the office, paid at the counter and the technician gave me half of my keys (he returned the black plastic case only -- the metal stick was missing). After inquiring what had occurred, the tech shrugged his shoulders and said: "dunno". When I asked him where was the missing part of my key, he said: "Have you checked your car, yet?" My car was parked at a distance, (far from office) and sure enough, my control panel was beeping and flashing like a christmas tree. Inside the ignition I found the missing metal part still inserted in the on/starter position. The engine was off because it needed the control remote part (chip); otherwise, it would be running. My car was left alone over an hour with the starter activated. I turned the metal part 180 degrees towards me and carefully pulled it out. If the tech would have turned it, the key would have come out easily without breaking it in two pieces. The manager, Stephen Johnson refused to accept responsibility and said I had shown up with a broken key already to the shop. This excuse is engineeringly impossible since the engine requires the chip in the key to be connected to the metal. I have given the shop the receipt for key replacement and they blatantly ignored me. I even had to call road side assistance to properly repair the key to continue driving (after leaving the shop) because the plastic case was missing pieces ( literarily ) and the case couldn't hold the metal key. They don't care about quality or good service. read more

Filled out an online estimate the Friday afternoon for a serpentine belt, oil change and brake work. I've always had great service BUT not this time. I went in on Saturday at 8:15AM and advised them of my estimate online. The counter person asked the mechanic and then said "We don't do Timing belt service" I told him that is not what the website said. Then the mechanic said "I don't have the tools" This was odd as he told me they don't do timing belt service. Then I asked them to check the estimate so I can get an estimate on break service. The counter guys says that will be about 1/2 hour. I said just to look that up? Then he looked at me funny. I then said never mind I'll go else where. Well they just lost my business!! After going here over 2 years to have these to idiots lie about services they offer and too LAZY to look it up on the computer! Well at least another business will get my money!! read more

I went to the Jiffy Lube for a routine oil change because I bought a Groupon thinking I could take it anywhere and I was wrong, so I had to drive to New Braunfels use it. At first, I was greeted by a staff member that helped me, but after about 45 minutes of leaving my car at Jiffy Lube, I called them to get an update on my oil change because normally changes need no more than 15 minutes. I was told by a worker, I believe her name was Brittany, that my car would be finished in 10 minutes. I left where I was having lunch to go pick up my car and when I got there, it was still in the bay. I waited at the register for a bit m, until finally a guy came over to explain he had to wait for a mechanic to come in because they stripped a piece. I asked him why they didn't call me to update me and he used an excuse saying the phone number wasn't entered (or something), and we went to my account to "fix" it (my phone number was there). So basically I left my lunch early because I was lied too. That is not where it ends, about three hours later, I had my boyfriend call them for me (because I never received a call from them, again) and ask about the status of my vehicle, which is when we were told it was done. I sent my boyfriend to pick it up for me because it seemed like they just wanted to play me, and I didn't have the patience to be lied to again. He got my keys and when I got in my car, I noticed that the floor mat was still left in my car, and was very dirty. Typically, the place I go to always removes that for me but maybe their standards are different at this Jiffy Lube. They gave me a terrible glass cleaning as well (comes with the oil change package). Not only that, but when they put my sticker on my windshield, they got fingerprints all over the top left of the windshield and did not bother cleaning that up. Also, the wipe down of my mirrors what horrible as well, they literally did a little circle area and that was it. Last but not least, my tires were definitely not aired up. My left tires are at 33, my front right tire is at 31, and my back right tire is at 32. Just a lazy job. I only came to Jiffy Lube because I had bought a Groupon, I definitely will not return. It is always something with Jiffy Lube. Either something is broken, they strip something, or they do a half-attempted job. Advice to those who choose to go here: don't mention if you have a groupon, just tell them the service you want. I have a feeling that's another reason for the half-attempted job. read more

I had a disastrous experience at this location, which I can only hope no one else ever has to endure. It had nothing to do with the customer service at the shop, which was fine. One of the technicians, after flushing the radiator, left the cap off. Soon after, my fluids dried up and with little warning suddenly my engine was done. After several weeks of keeping the car, waiting to hear from corporate what they were going to do about it, I get a letter (not a phone call) from their Insurance company, explaining that "things happen" and (paraphrasing here -- "not our bad"). So my $100+ oil change and radiator flush turned into a $6000 new engine. I understand that "things happen" but the cause and effect here was pretty apparent. I cringe now when I get their offers for an oil inspection. I would never EVER use Jiffy Lube again. read more

Arrival time 11:25. I asked how long before driving out and was told "about a 15 minute time frame." I even asked the greeter guy to please make sure they had the filter. He assured me they did. He drove my truck into service area immediately- no extra waiting Yay! After 30 minutes of waiting I noticed nobody was working on my car. As I started investigating what was going on I was told they didn't have an oil filter but one was on the way !! WHAT!? (This is the second time we've encountered a no filter situation- I thought it was a one-off). What is worse they already drained my oil before they realized they did NOT have a replacement oil filter!!! Why not physically pull filter from inventory before draining???? While talking to the "manager" Gracie, I was trying to understand process and problem and how this could happen and she tells me to lower my voice! Later when I asked another employee a question, Gracie approached that employee and tells her not to talk to me. In addition, they had to call auto supply a second time to get the filter brought over. It arrived in about ten minutes. It took one hour ,14 minutes, and 59 seconds before I was checked out. I was given a small discount but it wasn't enough for the repeat error and for my time. We won't be back!!! read more

Went for an inspection. Was told to go on the side to wait so I did for about 10 minutes & no one came up so I went in to just ask for an inspection. The worker was so rude & stated, "I don't want to deal with these people" & asked a co worker to come do the inspection. I then just waited in the lobby by the office to see what they wanted me to do & she said, "I don't want to be stared at while I work so can someone deal with these people." I never once was rude or rude even spoke to her, I was speaking to the other lady at the front desk. I ended up leaving, but I will never go back. Horrible service & it appeared that the manager was sitting in the office right next to this just playing on his phone. Won't be going there for anything again. read more

Extremely poor customer service! Went in for an oil change & inspection, the manager recommended we rotate tires.. After agreeing & paying the bill upon completion of services everything seemed normal. Two months later after going to tire vendor for another rotation we were informed there was a stripped lug nut & recommended to return to jiffy lube to have them address the stripped stud & lug nut. Without hesitation the same manager smugly stated "jiffy lube would not be fixing the stripped lug nut & stud because there was no way to prove it". read more

I had just bought a used car the day before and according to the window sticker the car was 5000 miles past when it was supposed to have had an oil change. I pulled in here and was sitting in the waiting room for about 2 minutes when Clay came in and informed that I didn't need an oil change. He showed me how clean the oil was. Apparently the dealership had done the oil change and forgot to put the new sticker on. Then Taylor, the manager, came and introduced himself. They both informed me of services they offer. Good service, bad price. I have a 1999 F-150 with a 4.6 V8. The Oil and Filter were $46.94 after Tax which is fine but the labor was $27.04 for 10 minutes of work! It broke down to $18 for a base labor fee and then $1 for each quart poured and $1 for the filter. I just paid $1 every time someone poured a quart of oil into my truck!!! The total was $77.85 for the entire Oil & Filter change, which is absolutely over priced. Blue Bonnet Ford did my last oil change for less than $60. I'm never using Jiffy Lube again unless they change to a lower flat rate for labor. I went there to save money and ended up spending more than what it would have cost me to go to the dealership. read more

Great staff. I've been to this Jiffy Lube twice and once to the one in San Marcos. The mechanics are very professional and seem like they enjoy what they do. I never feel pressured into additional services. Even on busy days, the wait is never too long. The waiting room is clean with lots of magazines. Went for an oil change about hr before closing. One employee already seemed frustrated that they had been so busy. So he was grunting and complaining loud enough to let all of us customers know he was ready to get off. Left soon after with the only issue being that they didn't fill the tires as the receipt said they did. I blew it off, really no biggie. I wake up the following morning for some random reason and look under my vehicle. THEY NEVER EVEN CHANGED OIL FILTER!!! I immediately went back (to a whole different crew) and spoke with a manager. He quickly took responsibility for what didn't happen and got everything taken care of with zero issue. I've heard of these scams happening in businesses like these but never thought I would come across it. Just beware. Not sure this is common practice at this location but I would bet it happens a lot. Now I've have to be that A-hole who watches from outside to ensure the work is getting done. read more
