Just had my front brakes replaced. This is outstanding place to get your car worked on. I scheduled an appointment. Showed up and gave them my car. My sister took me home. A few hours later Austin called me and said I didn't need new brakes on my back wheels, but the front wheels needed a complete brake job. I highly recommend this place! I had some work done on my previous car here. They did a great job, and the price was very reasonable. A few months later I had some other issues arise with my car and took it to a place in San Marcos close to my house because I didn't have a lot of time. The repairs needed ended up being extensive, and would have been incredibly expensive. I called Austin for a second opinion and took it in. He told me that if it was his vehicle he would trade it in, because for the repairs to be worth it I would literally have to have nothing else go wrong with the car. In the past, I had a horrible experience with the Brake Check on Loop 337 near 46. I witnessed the salesman there be very dishonest to a customer. So when my wife's tahoe needed work, I knew I had to search elsewhere. I searched the on-line reviews for the Chevrolet dealer in New Braunfels. I read the many recent horrible reviews everyone left for Valmark. But I called Valmark and described the work my vehicle needed. When I asked what his response was concerning all the recent bad reviews, Valmark's service man's response was "what reviews?". So I tried Gunn Chevrolet. When I called there, no one answered the phone and it sent me to a voicemail. I left a voicemail. No one ever called me back. After extending my search into New Braunfels, I discovered Brake Solutions. Brake Solutions had several good reviews. I made an appointment with Austin. Austin was able to take a look and ride with me to diagnosis the issue the same day. His approach to describing the condition of my vehicle left me feeling confident and comfortable that I was working with someone genuinely concerned about fixing only what needed to be fixed on the vehicle. Austin was very knowledgeable about repairs to Tahoe's and he provided me different cost estimates for the items that were worn and needed to be replaced. There was a huge difference from the experience I received with Brake Solutions compared to anyone else. I am so glad that I found Brake Solutions! I've seldom had a good experience with a mechanic's shop. Usually, they communicate poorly, they don't hit their estimated completion dates, and there are always gotchas when you hit the cashier's desk. This is so not the case with Brake Solutions! From the moment of initial contact, through the diagnostic process, and the follow up once the work is done, their ability to communicate and to set clear expectations of the work to be done is outstanding. Their shop is clean. The office staff is courteous and professional.
