I was in a jamb and walked in asking for assistance. The owner greeted me and stopped what he was doing to discuss my situation. I needed a cutting tool to remove a broken lock at my boat storage. He put a new disk and fully charged battery on his cutter for me. He accepted my ID as deposit and loaned me his equipment to use. Needless to say. I was very grateful and impressed He was so helpful and trusting. He showed caring and empathy that is rare. He's a young business owner and the shop and office was well kept. Based on my experience I would recommend doing business with this shop. Need to add He refused to accept any payment. Thank you Hillview Automotive. John Harris San Antonio read more

Do not go here unless you have time to waste. Will take forever just to look at it. Will not accept parts from AutoZone unless they order them. Fresno auto off ww. White is faster Sams auto off ww. White is better with electric problems. Especially foreign vehicles. read more

A good mechanic, a good dentist, and a good barber are professionals that people stay with if they are satisfied with the service. At least that's my experience! So, Brad and his crew at Hillview service three vehicles for my family and we are very happy with the level of service provided. Pricing is fair and competitive, and recommendations are realistic and cost-conscious. The service is always completed on time, barring part delays or additional issues discovered, which does happen. read more

I have never been to a mechanic and felt more respected. I worked with Brad who was working so hard to figure out the issue with my car. I called with the need for a quick fix since I had a trip planned and needed my car. They got me in quick (they're by appointment only) and had a same day fix for me. Brad explained everything out to me, kept me updated on the entire process, and I never once felt uncomfortable like I have at dealerships and mechanics in the past. The overall price did not at all feel like it did not match the service I received, in fact I almost felt like I wasn't paying enough for the work I recieve. Great prices for great work! Hillview earned a life-long customer today. read more

Hillview Automotive is a very honest and reputable shop. We had an issue with a Ford Taurus fuel pump, and they were able to fix it. Had an issue come up on that part later, when the driver was out of town, and had to have it repaired at another shop in another city. Unsure if the issue was due to Hillview's work, a faulty part, or bad luck; but they made it right and reimbursed us for the second round of repairs. Very much appreciated and can recommend them to not take advantage of you. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE! First, they ordered the wrong part. Then while waiting for new part to come in, they took apart my front end and tried to weld the car back together. We were on vacation and had to get them to give us our car back so we could leave our hotel, even though it was never repaired. The new place that actually repaired my car found problems they missed plus had to repair whatever they were welding. We wanted to give biz to a small mom/pop shop, but these people are grossly incompetent, and we felt totally scammed. read more

Had a fantastic experience with Hillview Auto today. My daughter was visiting from out of town. Brad was able to pinpoint the problem and get it repaired in a few hours. They really went above and beyond. Fair price too. My daughter was able to go back home and I felt better she was safe on the highway with the repairs that were needed. I am new to the area and will be back if I have any problems with my car read more

Took my girlfriends 94 F150 in for an emergency water pump. Went in running fine came out blowing black smoke, low on coolant. It was great that they took it in. But for $400.00, I guess Kirby ( Hillside )would have done a better job, and not throw the "by appointment only" back at us. read more

Always amazing quality work and exceptional customer service. No matter what the problem I'm having with my vehicle, they always seem to find a solution somehow someway. We've been doing business with the shop for around 2.5 years now, ever since we moved to the Canyon Lake area. read more

I highly do NOT recommend. I took in my Toyota Prius and did not get it back until 2 weeks later. Customer service was very disappointing as I called them multiple times to see what the issues were and would never hear back for any updates. Ultimately, the codes on my car were still showing and they told me "not to worry, and ignore". I later took my car to the Toyota dealership and they told me Hillview Automotive had installed parts in my car in the WRONG position and had to correct their mistakes and I ended up paying double of what it costed to fix my car. I had received a partial refund from Hillview Automotive later but was still not satisfied. read more

This shop is usually closed on the weekends. I noticed the garage door opened and pulled over. I spoke to the owner Ruben and asked if he would work on my truck. I was nervous driving back to Houston because of the issues i was having with my truck. He took it in and had it ready for me. The prices are reasonable too! Thank you Ruben for your excellent service and making my trip back to Houston less stressful. I would highly recommend using Hillside. read more

I was heading out of town to when I heard my truck making a grinding sound about the time I got to New Braunfels. I pulled over and called Ruben on a Sunday and he sent a wrecker to get me and met me at his shop. Knowing I needed to get out of town to go to work he had me ready to go the next day (Monday) by lunch after changing out my front wheel bearings and the front brakes. Awesome service. read more

Thank you so much for repairing our vehicle while we were visiting friends in Canyon Lake. Terrible feeling when you walk out and see fluids on the driveway. We truly appreciate that you trouble shot the Tahoe, diagnosed and repaired by the end of the day. Honest and trustworthy service here! Thanks again. read more

I contacted Hillside auto, to have rear axle bearings and seals removed and the new bearings and seals, that I have reinstalled on the same axles, and was refused. he told me that they Do Not install customers parts. It pains me to think that some companies don't seem to need income, regardless of the size of the job, and it is important to me that Hillside advertises Auto Repair, without a mention of Auto Parts. disgruntled customer Jeff Newman read more

Hillside Auto does the job right and charges a fair price, particularly compared to a dealer.
