Checked me out and gave me a jump, all I needed. Took the Corolla over to Fix It Shop the next day, got me a new battery in no time. Everyone friendly, good pricing, trust indeed. I do not look forward to more car issues, but when I do I'm happy I found a local spot. Had some charging system repair done. Their parts supplier sent the battery which had a 2 year warranty when I had requested a 3 year battery. I was charged for the 3 year battery however after calling their auto parts supplier the Fix It Shop was able to rectify the situation. They gave me the choice to keep the 2 year battery with a refund or swap it out for a 3 year one. Since the battery was already installed I opted for the refund. Great folks at this auto repair shop. read more

Came in a couple of times for a recurring issue on my truck. The Fix it Shop replaced parts and could not correct the issue. They studied forums, called dealers and did their research. The issue was something only the dealer could fix (GO FIGURE). When I went to pick up my truck, I asked how much I owed for the work they had done. I was shocked when they said NOTHING. I repeatedly offered to pay them for the new parts, some of their labor and the still refused. I was told that they would rather have my return business rather than money for not being able to fix the issue I had. Other businesses need to take a page from the Fix it Shop on how to run a business and keep customers happy and loyal. Thanks again! read more

I needed a small part (door hardware) installed and since I am from out-of-state, I didn't have the tools to do it myself. I stopped at the shop and they installed the part immediately and wouldn't take any payment ! It was a quick job and the level of customer service was excellent. read more

Annette, Morris and Michael have all been, polite, helpful, professional and, most important, honest. They have helped me with simple welding , installing custom parts, basic oil change and a complete break overhaul on my truck. I wish this was going to be a positive review but that is firmly NOT the case. After experiencing severe front-end shaking on my car in December, I took it to the Fix It Shop. Co-owner Annette called me late afternoon saying I needed my inner and outer tie rods replaced, new tires and a front end alignment. Recently laid off, I asked Annette for her recommendation on minimal work required to get the car in good shape for a job interview the next day. She told me one set of tie rods should be sufficient, there would still be "a little bit" of shaking and quoted a price that made me shudder but I was against a wall - unemployed, nearly 60 years old and needing to make it to a job interview in San Antonio the next day. After picking it up in the morning - with a bill of nearly $400 of which $312 was labor - I drove off only to experience the car shaking as badly as before. I drove back to tell Annette, and she revised "will shake just a little" to "need to fix everything." She further informed me I would be safe to drive the 70 mile round trip to San Antonio, but that I shouldn't go any farther "like to Dallas." I was wary of that opinion - how could she know at what mileage point the car would give out? I had to reschedule the interview. I went the next day to C&C Tires and Wheels, where the owner and his mechanic took the car for a drive, got underneath while I and a car-savvy friend watched, and came out with a photo of a broken axle boot. The mechanic very respectfully informed me he saw no damage to the tie rod that was not replaced and that my one-year-old tires were just fine. He was also confused how the mechanic at Fix It Shop missed the axle boot issue and with equal politeness, told me that his labor charge to replace the tie rods would have been between $100-$125. The work he did on the car - which included both axles, new brake pads, and balancing the tires came to a total of $447 - of which only $200 was for labor. I went back to Annette with the receipt from the other shop, showed her the photo I had of the damaged axle boot and politely requested that she make some sort of compensation for what appeared to be a clear misdiagnosis, highly likely replacing a part that was OK, a huge labor charge - not to mention putting me in danger by suggesting the car was OK to drive. Ultimately, Annette offered me a $100 credit toward "future car repairs." I politely but firmly declined -I don't trust the judgment, honesty and integrity of the owners or mechanics. I would never again return for any type of repairs, and respectfully suggest you think long and hard before doing so, either. At the very least, get a second and third opinion from another shop. And by all means, make sure one of them is C&C Tires and Wheels. read more
