Thursday night I went to the pharmacy and requested Sudafed from behind the counter. I had done this like a few years ago. So it wasn't like I did it frequently. I vary rarely even talked to the pharmacist. Anyway, the pharmacist asked about my symptoms and I told her I was starting to get a bad cough and I had a stuffy head. She said you need an allergy medication. I already take one. She said it probaby stopped working. Ill give you Claritin or Allegra for your sinus drainage. I never told her I had sinus drainage. She also kinda raised her voice at me and even caused the assistant to get a concerned look on her face. They were refusing to give me Sudafed. The pharmacist thought she was a 'doctor' and was diagnosing me with allergies! The cheapest option they gave me was a 5 day supply of Claritin (I dont have money to just throw down on 'maybe its this'). Friday night I had a fever of 103.4. My cough got extremely bad. I spent the rest of the weekend with a sinus headaches, low grade fevers, coughing and digestive issues. I have been taking cold and flu stuff. But Sudafed really is the best. I did not go to another Walgreens because I figured they all talk to each other and I had to sign for the Claritin and I didnt want a rep as someone looking for drugs. And I didnt go to CVS because I had already spent my money on Claritin. If we ask for Sudafed, dont PLAY DOCTOR!! Unless we ask you if we should take allergy medicine or something else, keep your uneducated opinion to yourself. Whoever that blond pharmacist is, she has really diminished my opinion of their pharmacy.

They a privately owned small business. They also have more in their warehouse or can order some items online. I am writing to formally report a concerning experience I had at one of your store locations that I…read morebelieve reflects poor customer service and possible bias. While shopping, I noticed a large tote priced at $25 that contained four smaller mini totes inside. There were multiple displays like this on the aisle, and none of the mini totes had individual price tags. Based on the presentation and labeling, it reasonably appeared to be a set. When I reached the register, the cashier asked if I would like to purchase all of the totes together. I confirmed and asked if they were sold as a set. At that point, I was told the smaller totes were actually $20 each, totaling $80. I explained that another identical large tote with four mini totes was displayed the same way and priced the same, and that the individual items were not tagged. A manager was called over, and she stated that the items were not a set and would need to be purchased individually. Given the confusion caused by the store's display and pricing, I politely asked if a discount could be offered. The manager responded by laughing sarcastically and stating that discounts are only given on damaged merchandise. She then abruptly asked if I wanted the items or not. I chose to purchase only the large tote since it was priced the same as the smaller ones. Afterward, I returned to the aisle to retrieve another large tote for the same reason. What was most upsetting about this experience was not the pricing decision itself, but the dismissive and unprofessional way I was treated. I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, no apology was offered for the misleading display, and instead I was made to feel as though I was the problem. As a Black man, I could not help but feel that I was viewed as aggressive or as someone trying to "get over," rather than as a customer simply pointing out a legitimate store error. I strongly believe that had I been treated without bias, this situation would have been handled with an apology and a more respectful explanation, rather than sarcasm and dismissal. I hope Gabe's takes this feedback seriously and reviews both the pricing practices and the conduct of the employees involved.
