They commented about my nice rebuilt transmission…read moreand then loosened 5 screws on the transmission! then when I had a oil change they didn't even put the gasket back on the plug and loosened the oil filter and I kept leaking oil! And I find out that my aunt who went there in 2017 they didn't even replace the oil plug, and they didn't even know and lost oil out of the car and had a $200 repair. Thank goodness I have somebody that could verify and see what was wrong with the car and he verified that all of this was done to my vehicle. Do not take your car here unless you wanna lose the oil and the car that you paid for! I'm contacting the BBB the city and state!

Rude & do not adhere to COVID19 safety standards…read more Had OK experience with them before even though the owner talks a bit much about how good his business is doing and he can do without some customers. Obviously customer satisfaction is not a top priority. After COVID19, my experience with the them became a bad one. They do not adhere to the safety standards. They have masks but only on their mouths. They do not cover their noses. They stick their heads into your car without the masks over their noses while you are sitting in the driver's seat. They touch all kinds of buttons on the steering wheel without having gloves on. They did that to my car and when I used hand sanitizer on the buttons and the steering wheel, the owner took offence to that and said why don't you also wipe the whole windshield on the outside. Obviously he felt insulted from something he should have taken care of to begin with. His workers became rude along side with him. Obviously the owner suffers from a short fuse as far as his temper is concerned ans he is not shy about revealing that. I would not recommend going to his shop since there is a possibility of getting insulted simply because you are trying to protect yourself from a deadly virus. His shop is not safe and there is a potential of customers getting the corona virus.

Things seemed normal just as every other time I got my oil changed here. Fast forward to 1:00am the following morning as I'm passing Des Moines, Iowa. My oil light goes on and my engine starts going insane. Luckily I was able to make it off of the exit ramp and pull into a gas station that was in front of a hotel. We were now stranded in Iowa. We had to call a mechanic the following day and pay to have the car towed. Once they got our car up there and diagnosed the issue, they told us that our oil was filled TWO QUARTS MORE THAN WHAT THE CAR TAKES. The cost of taking the engine apart and attempting a repair, or replacing the engine was almost more than the car was worth. We were now out of a car and forced to purchase a new vehicle at a dealership in Iowa. On top of that, we lost out on two nights of the house we had pre paid and booked a year in advance and the cost of towing the vehicle back to dearborn and paying for a lawyer to take this case to small claims court made it completely unworthy it. That being said, a word to the wise, take your vehicle to a more professional shop. It's not worth the money you save to have your car destroyed by people that don't take their responsibility seriously.

A couple days later that week, I was driving in a snowstorm when I heard clicking noises under the car. After pulling over to take a look I noticed the entire front access panel of the car was hanging down because it hadn't been screwed back in properly by this guy's team. I had to take my car to the dealer that day to get better clips for the panel screws and in doing so I missed work. Afterward I went through another oil change at another business with no issues. But most recently, I returned to this Valvoline location for the expediency, hoping that a different team would be in place. There indeed was a different oil change team and supervisor, and in the week or two that followed there seemed to be no issue. However, I had to drive though a few very shallow rain puddles on my way to church yesterday, and later in the afternoon I heard the same dang clicking noises under the car! This time it was the oil drain access panel hanging down, and after dismantling it at home I found that only one of the three outer screws remained (picture attached) and one of the clips was missing!! I couldn't believe it. Change in staff but no change in the lack of quality. A customer should not have to worry about parts of the car hanging off it after an oil change. I'm not a car person by any means, but I'm learning fast because of the Valvoline team's incompetence. These guys have engendered an exceeding level of distrust from me. I am never going back to this place again!!

Extremely disappointed with my experience at this shop. I brought my vehicle in because of a…read morespecific noise/repair concern. After their diagnosis, I was told the right control arm and struts needed to be replaced, and I was quoted around $900. Not only was the original issue still present when I drove away, but the experience got worse from there. I was told my struts would be replaced, but I was later informed shocks were done instead. I was also told the right control arm needed repair, but work was done on the left side instead. On top of that, my car key was damaged while in their possession. I was given conflicting explanations first that the key was already wobbly, then that it had to be taken apart because the battery was dead. Regardless, I ended up paying to replace my own key. When I immediately told Mike (the owner) that the original noise was still there, he asked me to bring the car back the next day. After looking underneath the vehicle again, I was suddenly told there were multiple additional problems that somehow weren't identified in the original diagnosis--and I was quoted another $1,100. At that point, I lost confidence and took my vehicle to the dealership for evaluation. I provided them with the paperwork from this shop, and based on what I was told there, the repairs I believed had been completed were not consistent with what I was charged/told had been done. I am now having the dealership properly repair my vehicle. This was an expensive, stressful, and frustrating experience involving poor communication, conflicting information, unresolved issues, and damage to my property. I would strongly encourage anyone using this shop to get everything documented clearly and verified.
