They did not deliver on a big promise. I am not typically one to give bad reviews, but am compelled to do so as the owner of this company suggested I do so, and the level of professionalism and decency has been like nothing I have experienced in all my life from a purchase experience. I would highly recommend one goes right down the road to Dick Scott Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Plymouth. I will never purchase a vehicle from this dealer again. In the past 6 years, I have purchased 3 different vehicles, and just 1 month ago purchased a 2019 Wrangler Rubicon from Szott Chrysler Jeep with an amazing experience. Submitted to State of Michigan Attorney General Consumer Complaints: In mid-December, 2017, I stopped in to Fox Hills Chrysler Jeep in Plymouth, Michigan to inquire about purchasing a new Jeep Grand Cherokee. I had a specific model and color, with specific options in mind. I met with the owner (Jim), and discussed my interest in purchasing this vehicle. He then had me work with a new salesman he had hired (Dan). They had the exact vehicle on the lot, with the exception of one feature. I wanted the remote-start option, allowing me to start the vehicle via a key fob or the Uconnect phone app. Dan and Jim advised they would be able to acquire the equipment and install this feature, and this would be no problem. That being said, it was not yet available due to this being a recent new model launch, but would be available in about a month. I agreed to purchase this vehicle, and did so as they agreed to install this Mopar factory remote start in the near future and it would work as if the vehicle had originally came from the factory with this feature. I purchased the vehicle on December 23rd, 2017, and on my contract it was written "*Dealer agrees to install Mopar auto start. After several months, Fox Hills continued to advise me the Mopar auto start equipment was not yet available, and a release date was undetermined. I was advised an aftermarket auto start was available, and Jim asked if I was agreeable to have them install it. I advised I would be as long as it worked and performed just like a factory unit. Fox Hills then had Ameristar Auto Outfitters in Westland, MI install a unit manufactured by Car Link into the vehicle. Within a week of installation, the vehicle began to have failures in which features would shut down or not work correctly, and the vehicle would simply shut down at times while driving. I contacted Fox Hills and Ameristar, and they decided they needed to alter the program on the auto start equipment to turn the vehicle off when a door was opened as vehicle take-over was not working correctly, so that the vehicle could perform its normal start-up procedures. At this time, it no longer was working as a factory-installed auto start feature would. Fox Hills and Ameristar Auto were hopeful Car Link may come out with an override that would some day allow proper vehicle take-over to happen, but have not to this day. At this point, my vehicle must be restarted every time I enter the vehicle after an auto start, causing more wear-and-tear. It also has some glitches now and then, such as the Eco button turning off. I cannot confirm this is related, but it never did this prior to the installation of the aftermarket auto start. I went in to the dealership on September 19th,2018, for a recall to be addressed on the vehicle and also inquired with Dan about the availability of the Mopar remote start. He inquired with FCA, and did find it was not available (part number 82215868). I then walked over to Jim and advised him of the issues and concerns I was having with the existing aftermarket Car Link remote starter, and that I would prefer Fox Hills honored their original agreement and remove the aftermarket remote start, and replace with the OEM Mopar remote start. At this point, Jim became very annoyed and said in no way would Fox Hills agree to do such a thing. He very stridently stated I agreed to install the aftermarket starter, and their obligation had ended. He then stated he was sure I would go on social media and provide poor reviews of his business, and he did not care. He then walked away. I later came to find from conversations with FCA that installing the Mopar remote start does not allow for operation using an App such as Uconnect. For the feature to work from the Uconnect app, one must purchase the vehicle with the option installed by the factory. This was not explained by Fox Hills. I am now left with a vehicle that I am concerned could develop issues down the road, and does not work as promised. I feel obligated to make sure consumers know the "after-the-sale" service and support one may receive from this company.

Today was my first encounter with the new owner Chris and it was FANTASTIC. I called a few days ago to schedule an oil change and he immediately offered a Saturday morning visit. I was there at 8AM and he met me right away. He easily navigated the computer to find the correct car I was bringing in, as I have 3, and got the preliminaries out of the way. Within minutes the car was in the service area and on the hoist. I stepped out on their "veranda", park bench and read my news ap. BEWARE OF THIS PLACE!! They had a Jeep Patriot for sale. The check engine light was on and he…read morestated that it was on because the A/C was out. He said that he would fix the A/C and asked if I would put a deposit down. He tried to get ne to put $2,000, I agreed to $200. He made a copy of the title to the vehicle and wrote on the title stating that I made a $200 deposit. Later I see that the name on the title was a completely different name than the workers at the auto repair shop. I no longer felt comfortable purchasing the Jeep. Also, I didn't feel comfortable because I did not truly believe that he would fix what was wrong (why the check engine light is on). I then asked for my deposit to be refunded and he stated that the Jeep was already sold and that if I wanted my deposit back, I would have to take him to court. Monty comes off as a good guy but it is really just an act. After I asked for my deposit to be refunded, he was rude and mean. A totally different person than the person I met when he tried to sell me a Jeep. He seems comfortable with keeping peoples money even though he has no written policies on refunds. MONTY IS A SNEAKY DO NOT TRUST HIM!!!
