I come here every week and lately it's getting worse and worse. They have a good variety of machines, big & small, as well dryers. The washers even take cards or tap off your phone. So nice! When it works. Most of them are currently broken leaving coin only. Also the place itself is always dirty. The floors have dog hair, dirt, and laundry detergent all over em. Even while a person that works here is currently here and not doing anything about it. Smells dingy and rarely seems to get cleaned. I mean this is my spot and I love how close it is to my place, I'll remember to bring cash in the future, but please do better. read more

You can use a card (credit or debit) or coin (coin machine on premises). 18 lbs washers are $3 for cold, $3.50 or $3.75 for hot plus an extra $.25 or $.50 for extra rinse. They last from 33 mins to 38 mins. The washers also have a free sanitize cycle for free ( don't forget to use first). Dryers are tricky, you apparently have to push the start button twice to get them working properly. Big dryers are $.25 for each 6 mins, the smaller dryers are $.35 for 8 mins. Place could use some cleaning throughout the day. I'll not go back due to the dryers gave me so MUCH trouble! read more

Very very dirty floor. Juniper berries in every washing machine. Old laundry left in several dryers & washing machines. At least 6 dryers in this very cramped facility broken! Spent way to much money on dryers that didn't heat up! Went home with 5 loads of damp clothes. Ripped sign on the door reminding patrons that it's the law to wear masks while using facilities. The machines are new and good quality. Free wi-fi (VERY slow!) and the machines can text you when they are done - which is good if you leave. We didn't try that nifty little feature tho. BUT... It's a small place, no bathroom and a VERY small area to fold in. There's is no sink either if you spill and need to clean up or prewash anything. So... Here's an interesting thing. The individual machines can take cash or a credit card or a combination of the two. Pretty convenient. HOWEVER, it states that there will be an additional $15 transaction "hold" added to the card. It states that this will drop off within a day or two and you will only be charged the exact amount of your transaction. But that could be a problem for those with limited funds. If this is the only game in town I guess we'll be back. Otherwise, we'll be going elsewhere. read more

The dryer works at $.25 for 7 minutes, and that was great for a light load. Easy to find location in a favorable part of town. The Short Review: Cathy's Cleaners bought this old, dingy 'mat and made it first-class, with modern eco-friendly machines and a clean, pleasant environment. Yeah, I'm too cheap to buy my own washer/dryer. Why would you when (in every big city I've lived in) there are modern laundromats where you can do your entire wardrobe in one large machine, and be in and out in an hour or so. Sadly, the laundry scene in Bend has.. well, quite frankly, sucked. Up until recently, there was scant few places to do laundry that wasn't either depressingly maintained or on the pricey side. I was very surprised to hear a radio ad for Cathy's Cleaners mentioning they had a new 'mat, so I eagerly collected my clothes and headed over. And I wasn't disappointed, it was everything you'd expect from a modern laundromat, including a card-based payment system so you don't have to fidget with quarters; free WiFi; and clean efficient machines. And the prices are competitive with the other laundromats around town. If there's a downside, it's they don't have any conventional single-load top loaders. Sometimes you just have a real small load of whites you want to bleach the heck out of (I do this regularly with white towels, for example), and it barely comes to a single load. Spending a double-loader price for this kinda sucks. But, that's not most people's usage scenario. There is one pet peeve of mine that you often find on these modern 'mats that use card payment systems: you still need quarters to operate the soap (and other) vendors. C'mon, guys, you have everything else taking credit cards and your own stored-value card: let me swipe for a box of soap or maybe a Dr. Pepper. Oh, and you can't add cash to your stored-value card.. the only way to use the stored value card is to "register" online and pay with a credit/debit card on the website. There's no cash acceptance station like.. say, the car wash on Greenwood has. But these few downsides are just minor inconveniences. Cathy's hits the mark: a good, clean laundromat with modern machines and not the least bit dark and depressing, at a price that's fair. read more

Since retiring four years ago, we spend 3-4 months per year traveling in our RV. Using laundromats is the least favorite part of our travels. That stated, I was very impressed with Cathy's. The machines are new and the place is very clean. You can even have the wash machine text you ten minutes before your load is done...it actually worked! Parking might be tough on busy days but I easily found a space. There's a Dutch Bros coffee nearby along with a couple of fast food restaurants. We will be sure to hit this place again the next time we are in Bend. read more

This review is about Express Eco Laundromat 407 SE 3rd St, Bend, OR 97702, Phone: +1 541 728 3715. Express Eco is a Laundromat to avoid. I washed my cloths during March 2021. I set the machine to COLD water. Deposited the money the soap and waited. When the cycle was complete I noticed the water was very Hot. Hot water has a tendency to shrink and damage your clothes. I called the problem in. Express Eco promptly called back. After explaining the problem their employees blew me off not offering a damage claim or any compensation for any damage. The staff was rude and unprofessional. They were not very nice. I hope this answers any questions about their reputation. Hot water in a cold wash can easily cause several hundred dollars worth of damage. Some wise guy mechanic was eavesdropping on the call. This know it all is a jack of all trades and master of nothing. There goes the trust. United States law defines two types of bailments. This is a legal relationship where your property is entrusted to another party. The definition for a bailment is as follows. The term bailment refers to the transfer of personal property to another person for safekeeping, or for the other person to control or use temporarily. A bailment is a form of contractual relationship, even if no contract has been signed. The person receiving the property (the "bailee") has possession and control over the property for a specific period of time, during which he or she is responsible to take reasonable care of the property. The original owner of the property (the "bailor") retains ownership interest during this time. To explore this concept, consider the following bailment definition. When you wash clothes in a coin operated laundry a paid bailment is created and consumers have a reasonable expectation of receiving the clothes back undamaged or be fully compensated for the loss. Oregon allows either party to a business call to record the other party without advising them the call is being recorded. If Express Eco Laundromat damages your clothes take them to court. First download and install the Cube ACR app from the Google Play Store. This free and ingenious app will record both sides of the cell call. Next add Express Eco Laundromat to your contacts. Make and record the first call and advise them of the problem. Oregonis a one party state and does not require you to advise them the call is being recorded. Make sure you record their call back response to your damage claim. This is required before you can file in the court. If you advise them they will become abrasive and change their story. You will need proof of both calls in court to prove to the judge that you were their customer and that you asserted a claim for damages. Take pictures of the machine that damaged your cloths and pictures of the damages. A picture of your car in their lot would not hurt. Witnesses are good. Take them to court. The court will award you the filing fees and the actual damages. They will probably argue that they have a sign that says they are not responsible. You respond that you were unaware of any sign. There is no contract formation unless all parties agree to the same terms. I am confident you will prevail in court A simple refund of three dollars and fifty cents falls far short of the real value of the damaged clothes. read more

The first two times I went, it was great. I could bring my laptop and work while I waited for my laundry. The last 3 time, I've had to switch machines several times after the credit card reader didn't work. In some cases it's because of the Internet not working, but others the machines are just broken. Either way, this past stop in was my last. Too much of a headache. read more

Love this place! Their pay options are very convenient (debit cards, quarters, or my vip card which gives me free washes when I load $ onto it). It's pretty clean, and cheaper than other places I've been. I had one issue with a dryer not functioning for the first time since I've been coming here. Easy to use, efficient front-loaders, dryers that actually dry...reasonably priced. They have plenty of washers and dryers and can take card or have a cash machine that works. I came here to get caught up on all my family's laundry. Its easier sometimes to do 4 loads at once then wait for each load all day long at home. I like the sanatation rinse option that you can run for free before putting my laundry into the machines. The building is lit nicely and has security cameras for safety. The dryers have large capacities and are quick to work. This is a time saver and if I run out of soap I can purchase it from the vending machine. read more
