WORST EXPERIENCE!!…read more First off, I want to say that the girl who did my hair and the other girls who helped were very sweet. However, my experience with the manager, Ashley N., was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. As seen in pic 1, my hair was a pretty neutral/cool medium brown, which I had done myself at home. I was actually very happy with my hair color. My roots were just growing out, so I went to the salon specifically because I wanted my roots done to match the rest of my hair. When I went in, they bleached my roots and toned my entire head. Unfortunately, my hair came out very uneven, patchy, darker than I wanted, and much warmer than my original color, as seen in pics 2 and 3. I went back to the salon to have it fixed because I was obviously very unhappy with the result. Unfortunately, I still left with uneven color and a dark red-brown/chocolate color, as seen in pics 4 and 5. I was extremely upset because I had already been happy with my hair when I came in. I paid a lot of money for this service, and then I also had to take additional time out of my schedule to go back and have it fixed, only to still leave unhappy with the result. I did call the salon to ask for a refund, but the manager, Ashley N., repeatedly told me that the outcome was essentially my fault and that they had done "the best they could." If they felt they couldn't get my hair to the color I wanted, I wish they would have just been honest with me about that before doing all of these additional things to my hair. Instead, my hair went from a color I was already happy with to the red/chocolate brown color it is now. I even specifically asked the manager if she thought my hair looked cool or warm toned, and she told me, "I think it looks pretty cool toned." Looking at pics 4 and 5, I personally don't think the result looks cool toned at all. It looks noticeably warm and red compared to the color I originally came in with. When I asked the manager for a refund, she told me, "I can't give you a refund. I think it's best if we both just move on from this situation."

Shalynne gave me the fastest blowout I have ever had (I have long thick curly hair) and it lasted stick straight for days without having to use a hot iron. I won't let anybody touch my hair besides the people at Hairport. The rates are more than reasonable ($22 a cut), you are never rushed, and when you are there they make you feel right at home. The moment I enter the door I am greeted by name by every employee that I encounter. Moreover, the employeees are able to personalize their business by remembering my hair needs. For instance they know that I need volume at the crown of my head and specific layering of the hair. The best part is that I don't have to feel like a broken record everytime I get my haircut so I can actually enjoy my experience at the salon knowing that I am in good hands.
